i am making a quiz. My problem is that once the user completes the quiz and wants to start again the quiz is already on the last question. How do i make it so that once the user clicks start again the questions and answers arrays start from the beginning, sort of reset themselves.
View 1 Repliesi have a question that is almost like other questions but with a small but very important difference. how can i restrict file types for user with a popup showed in the browser.
The standard file input of html can limit that with a command but it does not work in all browser so it is not an option. I do not want to validate the file extension after the user has chosen a file but before that, when he is choosing.[URL].. but it uploads the file after the user has chosen it, i do not want to do that, i want to upload it after the user submits the form.
So the problem looks like this that there are some ways of not letting the user send a not valid file but they are not good because, one is that i validate after the user have chosen the file and the other is that i upload the file before the user submits the form.
I just want a simple thing to not letting to "chose" a not valid file, it does not matter if it will be made with java script or flash, just let it work.

replaceAll("\p{Punct}", "_")

How to load a String Array from a txt file in local user space (the folder from which the .swf is run). What I need to know: The easiest way for the user to save/load a file. The file has to contain Objects and Arrays reflecting his current status in the game. The goal is to avoid non-Flash apps and languages, and external Classes if possible (I do everything right in the main fla). I don't mind that the user has to initiate and approve the upload/download.

View 1 RepliesI want to have a flash banner start playing once it becomes visible below the fold. When the visitor scrolls down and it is viewable in the browser it starts playing. Is this possible? I'd prefer if the solution was outside of flash but just want it to work. Currently the banner does not replay itself so it is playing to the end before it becomes visible. If it could load or start playing once its viewable that would solve the problem.
I know lazyloader can load images after you scroll down and facebook comments load once you scroll down but could you do the same thing with anything? in particular a flash banner.

My Flex application is heavily keyboard-oriented. It uses 100% of the browser window and I'd like the user to be able to start using it immediately - as soon as it loads. However, it seems that the application is only first "activated" (i.e. the activate event fires) when the mouse clicks somewhere inside it, which is very inconvenient for my keyboard-heavy app.
Can I force an activation of my app at some point during/after it loads? I hope I don't have to display some silly "click inside to activate" overlay every time the page loads..
In certain browsers ([cough] Chrome [/cough]) the focus is lost whenever the user switches away from the browser (or even touches the address bar) and is not regained when switching back. So the solution has to take in consideration not just the first focus when the page loads but also "re-focusing".

I have two input text boxes. I need to enter a number (1900) into the first box then hit the 'Enter' button, then enter a number (50) into the second box right below the first.
After the 'Enter' button is pressed it needs to lock-in the required value, by selectable = false.
My problem is...I can get the first number to work. I type in the number, press 'Enter', it changes the textbox value to selectable = false...everything is good for that part.
But the second number is where I am having trouble, it seems the function is called, but that's it...nothing else happens.

I am making my first website in flash based on frames. When you go to an other frame the Stage fades out. When you enter the frame you see nothing at all. So how can I clear the stage when entering the frame or even better it fades into the frame with clearing the objects & code of the previous frame.[code]...
