If you press the "" again then you will navigate the editor with the previously designed layout. I want to make a site like this. I want to use the flash cs4 to make the editor. Anybody knows how to draw a rectangle or circle shape with mouse and how to scale by setting the point and how to rotate by setting the rotation point also by using flash cs4 and as3?.

I'm having a problem with the following code. It works perfect to attach a movie clip if the mouse is idle. The problem is there seems to be some sort of refreshing going on which is not allowing the movie clip to play past the first frame.
// Set time_out variable(flash time is in milliseconds)
// .2*60*1000 = 30 seconds
time_out = .05*60*1000;
// Set a time variable for mouse movement
_root.onMouseMove = function() {

I am trying to get an interval to start if the mouse is idle after a few minuets. The objective is once a user begins to use the flash program and stops the program will jump back to the main scene after a few moments of the mouse being idle. The interval also needs to stop and reset if the user begins moving the mouse again. This is my code thus far.
var duration:Number = 300000;
var myInter:Number = setInterval(backtomain, duration);
function backtomain():void {
gotoAndPlay(1, "Scene 10");
clearInterval(myInter);
}
I am also up for learning the Timer Class if that is my only option.

I'm trying to run a function where after an amount of time of the mouse being idle a movieclip plays, then if the mouse moves another one plays. I have gotten my code to do this, but the last function runs over and over as the mouse is moving. I want it to run once, so the movieclip plays once. how do I do this?
here is my code,

I have been working on this and thinking about it for days but I just can't seem to get it right. I want to have a circle that I can "pick up" with the mouse and then rotate (with the rotation point in the center). Currently I have done this with the following code:
PHP Code:
var radians = Math.atan2(mouseY-circle.y, mouseX-circle.x); var degrees = Math.round((radians*180/Math.PI)); circle.rotation = degrees + 90;
I have added a mouse listener for movement to the circle mc and then checked if a button was down. On button down this code would be executed on enter frame. This code works but the main problem is that I want to be able to "pick the circle up" at any angle and rotate it. If I pick it up with this code the circle automatically rotates to 90 degrees.

I'm trying to make a dummy from a circular menu that reacts (rotate) to mouse movement, I uploaded a fla example, different colors, size, etc, but essentially the same in function; but for now I'm freezed how to do somethings, I'm not a programer or actionscripter, but I want to learn.Currently using CS3 and AS2, downloading the FLA example may help. in the "fla", you will see a circle who rotates versus mouse movement (I would like to make a delay rotation for a smooth feelling when mouse is moving, those like "_x += (_xmouse/5)" but with rotation. Other thing I would like to do,is... that the movement stops progressively a few degrees before the mouse reach de cian angles(a1,a2), and then, the circles doesn't move if the mouse is moving under those angles, like a... an inactive area(U1), and if it could work with instances.

I write some working code that creates a circle on mouse click with a radius of 5 and with a random colour each time...I have the code to create the circle and the code for the random colour here:
var myColour:Number = Math.floor(Math.random()*0xFFFFFF);
this.graphics.beginFill(myColour);
this.graphics.drawCircle(0, 0, 10);
this.graphics.endFill();
Essentially I want to create a Flash application that places random coloured circles with a radius of 5 on the stage with a centre location of the mouse position each time a user clicks.

so basically I have a circle which I got to spin around and stop when the mouse is over it. However I now need it to also spin Anti-Clockwise if the mouse is near the top of the page and clockwise if the mouse is at the bottom of the page.
Can anyone help? I did the animation through tweening in flash so my code is tiny, but here's what it is. I'm new to flash so forgive me if I don't know what I'm doing.

I have a circle with 8 dots around the edge of it. Based on the center of the circle and the mouse's location, I want the dot that the mouse is closest to, to get bigger. I've got this so far ActionScript Code: angle = Math.atan2(rt.mouseY - y, rt.mouseX - x); But I'm getting some weird quadrant values returned that are between -3 and 3. Is there a way to know which degree out of a 360 circle my mouse is at in regards to the center of the circle?

I am basically trying to create a display object transformation manager which will allow me to scale/rotate objects. I am currently trying to figure out how to rotate an object so its corner follows the current x and y of the mouse. I always get confused on the math of things like this. I know how to listen for the events and everything, I just am unsure of how to calculate the amount of rotation to apply. I will probably be rotating via a Matrix so I can rotate the object around its center, rather than the upper-left corner of it. My question here is: how do I get values when I don't want them constrained, like scaleX and scaleY?

I'm trying to make a zoom in and out effect, on images in a movieclip, using the mouse wheel. But, there is another mouse event that scrolls through the frames of the movie clip. I need it to stay zoomed in, and out respectively, when you scroll to the next frame.

I have attempted to make a movieclip scale in the y axis using _yscale but I can't seem to make it scale to the exact mouse co-ordinates.
Its within a rotating movie clip (controlled by the position of the mouse) and that works fine.
Here's the code I'm using at the moment.
Code:
onClipEvent(enterFrame){
var disty = this._y - this._ymouse
var dist = Math.sqrt(disty*disty)
this._xscale = 100 + dist;
}
