ActionScript 3.0 :: Scan Html Text For All Ocurences Of A Custom Tag?
Mar 29, 2011
i need to scan some html text for all ocurences of a custom tag. I'm useing a regexp to do so, and it works fine:
//START CODE
var myRegExp:RegExp = /<hi>(.*?)</hi>/ig;
var myString:String ="Lorem Dolor<hi>Found1</hi> Lorem Dolor Ipsum dolor <hi>Found2</hi> sit amet mas nocturn <hi>Found3</hi> Lorem Dolor <hi>Found4,YouFoundThemALL</hi> ";
So as far as I can tell list-style-image (or any list-style at that) is not one of the available css properties enabled with a TextField.I want to have a list of items with bullets in front of them, but using a custom png image for the bullet.
I wrote a function to override y FLEX LineChart's datatips because the default datatips were ugly and rather boring.I finally set the style I wanted but am now having some problems removing un-necessary tags from being displayed in the custom datatips.For example, the datatips now display things like this:
"<b>Humidity</b></BR>2010-07-05T00:15:00"
I can always perform a "Replace()" to remove those break and bold HTML tags, but that seems really un-necessary and anti-development.I am using this to set the dataTip's label text:
var hd:HitData = value as HitData; var item:LineSeriesItem = hd.chartItem as LineSeriesItem; _xAxisText = String(hd.displayText + ' ' + item.xValue);
ow do you display HTML formatted text in a Spark custom item renderer (Actionscript)?
Sample Code:
The html content in item.post_content displays as plain text in the IconItemRenderer messageFunction snippet below (which is just the default generated code for Icon Item renderer):
I'm using a custom tooltip in order to be able to use html tags. The method I used is described here.I'm using SDK v.3.5. I also did a little hack so that the TooltipManager.tooltipClass would work (check this post for more details).Here's some code.
HtmlTooltip.as: public class HtmlTooltip extends ToolTip {[code].....
Everything works fine BUT 2 things: First, font colors tags don't work. If ever I use sth like <font color='0xadadad'>...</font> it won't work. However, if I use <u>...</u>, it works fine
Second, the <a href='...'>...</a> does not work either. I checked in several websites, and the solution would be to set the selectable property of the text to true.
I am designing a web application in Flex 4 and currently facing an issue rendering advanced HTML tags and entities in Flex 4. All I want to do is basically render an HTML text coming to me something like the one given below:-
I know this doesn't have a simple answer, but I want to learn how to scan images, and thus videos (frame-by-frame) and identify other images in that initial image with a given amount of error.
When I first open my project, I want the visuals to stay on the 1st frame, while Flash scans through and creates an array of all the frame labels and their relative frame numbers.
Would be useful to be able to specify a layer to search for labels on, and/or search for any and all frame labels in an mc.
I want the flash movie to scan the dir, like: news/ In news i have a few txt. files:
[Code]...
I want it to return a array [1.txt,2.txt,3.txt] But when i ad one. news/4.txt it automaticly returns an array with [1.txt,2.txt,3.txt,4.txt] in it. how would i do this?
While recursive scans are commonly use to scan through nested objects / data. It can go on an infinite loop, if some of the objects references one another. So what is the most effective way to scan all items, without crashing the computer, nor skipping a specified parameter?
Here is an example of a recursive scanner...
/** * Triggers the scan function for each object given **/ function recursiveScanner( object:* , scanFunction:Function ):void {
[Code].....
The objects will trigger scans for one another in an eternal loop.
I do believe in C/C++ : Each scanFunction call, will be added into a list consisting of scanned 'memory address', thus preventing a repeat. Is this even possible in AS3? Is there a more elegent way?
I was interested in searching through text in a textfield, and applying text formatting to keywords. For example, every time the word 'the' appears, apply a text format that changes it to green and 14pt. Here is an example of a format and text applied to a textfield. How would I go about searching through the textfield and applying this format only to specific words? my_txt.text = 'The cat jumped over the house.'
/// my format I want to apply with (_lt_fmt) { align = 'left'; blockIndent = 0;
I was hoping to do this from a flash plugin, kind of how flash accesses the microphone or webcam but it doesn't seem possible. Is this going to be possible using Java, or ActiveX, or some other strategy that I haven't looked at yet?The idea is to do it without a client install, or at least something lightweight and browser and platform independent.
I'm trying to find a way of playing a presentation with product information and movie animation (flash or HTML with embedded movie) using a barcode scan as the activator. Ie, a customer would scan 1 of around 20 products on a barcode scanner, and product info and a movie would play. Anyone have any ideas of how this can be done. I've been out of the flash world for a while, so not sure if it has the capability. If someone has the ability to put this together, there would be some $$ involved. brendan.lake@circle-square.net
I would like to be able to create a folder for the copied video frames access the individual frames frome a .flv video file and/or .swf file save these frames to the auto-created folder I assume one would need to do this using Action Script 3 to scan through the .swf and .flv files and extract the frames.
I'm working on a school project that will work so that a webcam can scan a grid of colors and determine what color it is and there by playing a sound that is connected to that color. You can then create music by drawing different colors on a grid.
So I managed to import the webcam image to flash, and that's all. How do I Proceed? * How do I get the webcam to detect colors? (Green, Blue, Red, Yellow and Black) * How do I connect these color detections to start playing a sound/movieclip?
This is the code id used to import the webcam. Code: import flash.media.Camera; import flash.media.Video; var camera:Camera = Camera.getCamera(); if (camera != null) { video.attachCamera(camera); } else { trace("You need a camera."); }
I have a piece of Flash on an HTML page that when you hover over it, it expands out to reveal more information.There are text links that it expands over, however in everything but IE, when it's not expanded those links are still covered by the Flash making them unclickable.I have the Flash piece in a separate DIV wmode set to transparent.
I have created a textArea element but cannot display my HTML content. If I just display regular text it works or if I change the textArea element to a RichEditableText element it works fine. Since this is for a mobile app I would prefer to use the textArea element as recommended by Adobe.Here is the MXML code for the textArea. All I get is the border and no content displayed.
I was trying to send 4 paragraphs to a .swf element. I have no idea how to what to do. I tried using FlashVars but I feel like i need to drop in some actionscript to be able to work with the vars conceptsNdisciplinesPar=(some text)&cultures&countriesPar=(some text) etc... Is there an easy way to get access to this text in my .swf?
I know how to make a webpage pop up out of flash that links to a certain site or whatever...
But can you put the HTML inside flash itself, so all the source is contained in the flash, and when you open the webpage, it will be generated as stored in flash?
I am having trouble getting an flv dynamically into a swf file and then getting it to play in a browser. The objective seems simple enough but I've hit a brick wall. A movie file is to play in the entire browser window (100%) and preserve aspect-ratio when the window is resized.This is done using this code, which is loaded as the document class (Vid.as) in an empty .fla project using CS3
I have a custom cell renderer for a AS3 Datagrid and the html tags work except for the links. Anyone know how to get those to work?I am using the class below for the custom renderer which is called in the fla withdg.setStyle("cellRenderer", CustomCellRenderer);
I have a text field component that I am dynamically populating with text. The words appear one letter at a time in a teleprinter style fashion. I also have rendered certain words with HTML to make style changes within the text.Now all this works fine, except because the HTML text is larger than the body of the other text, I am losing theteleprintereffect at the bottom of the text field. In other words, after a set amount has been printed, users are not seeing the letters printed out one at a time, but instead just get a printed line of text appear from beneath the visible section of the text window.
I want to import an html file that contains just plain tet inside of a dynamic text box. The things that I have tried jus tmake the html file pop-up as a new page, but i want the information inside of that textbox.
