ActionScript 3.0 :: Select / Deselect Each Checkbox And Save The Selection Out To An Xml File

I have a movieclip that contains some checkboxes "preferences_mc". I have an xml file that is loaded in and has an element called "isUnique" which has children with unique names like id, title, version and such. What I am trying to accomplish is for the form I am building to be able to select/deselect each checkbox and save the selection out to an xml file. I have gotten that far and everything is working perfectly. My problem is that after I load the xml back in and try to set the checkbox.selected = xmlPrefs.isUnique.id to get the checkbox to use the data from the xml file to decide whether it is selected or deselected, it ALWAYS selects the box whether it is true or false. I have tried everything. xmlPrefs.isUnique.id traces out as false which is correct but the screen still shows the checkbox selected.

I am a pro user but I have never seen something like this. When I'm trying to select several frames on 4 layers, the selection dissapear! I can't finish my work, I didn't change any preferences, nothing i changed mouse - the same. There is no info in the Internet about this error Did u meet that bug before?

I want to show the user a confirmation box when they deselect a checkbox. My code works although I think it is a bit of a hack. I listen to the checkbox click and then show the alert. Depending on the result I then set the checkbox to be checked again.
My code is

the code is specific to cb1 and cannot be reused for other checkboxes the checkbox is deselected when the alert shows. Then when the user clicks no the checkbox is selected again. stop the uncheck event if the user clicks no on the alert box. Is it possible to intercept this in Flex?

In Flex 4, I have a Spark List component with item renderers. I would like to select an item in the List by clicking on it, and deselect it also, by clicking on the same selected item. Like an on/off switch.
My item renderer has the following states:

<s:State name="hovered"/>
<s:State name="selected"/>
</s:states>
so I tried to add a click event listener to the item renderer with:

if (currentState == 'selected') currentState = 'normal';
else currentState = 'selected';

with an awkward behaviour... where the item stay selected even after clicking it again in the selected state.
Think of using the List component without the Command (on mac) or the Control button on windows.

The idea is to be able to select the "btn" sprite and while it is selected you can click anywhere on stage to deselect it. I thought this would work but somehow after a single mouse click it also executes the unselect function. Since I add this function after the mouseclick I do not understand why it is doing this. Is this not the way to do such a thing?

I have about 18 checkboxes and I would want to know if there is a way how i can make only one of them be choosen. I.e I can't choose 2 of the boxes an error will occure. I know I could do it with radioboxes but for estetic I prefere checkboxes.

I've added checkboxes to a list component using the cellrenderer however the behavior is different from what i expected. I'm only able to check one box in the list at a time. I need to be able to check mutiple boxes in the list.
I'm aware you could hold down the control key and select individual the checkboxes, but the application i'm developing is a touch screen aplication hence no keyboard, no control key. I've tried programmaticaly setting the selectedindicies but the checkboxes don't appear checked after the selectedindices have been set.

I have a datagrid with 5 columns. The first column has checkboxs and rest four columns have data from the dataProvider.
I have two relating issues: First: I want the row to get selected when I click on a checkbox, or if i click on multiple checkboxes, every row should stay selected in the datagrid for whose checkbox is selected.
Second: If a row or multiple rows are selected, the corresponding checkbox should get selected too.

I am using a 'Tilelist' and 'HBOX' as itemrenderer. In the HBOX I have checkbox.Passing arraycollection as dataprovider to TileList(my arraycollection length is 20). On selecting checkbox of item1 in the Tilelist and scroll the list I could see subsequent item as of item1 is selected. In blogs I found there is some issue of flex cache while using checkbox.

This is the most frustrating program ever. No where can I find an answer. I've tried everything I've read on how to change text but I can never get the selection tool to select the text. Some say use the T tool but all that does is create a new white box over top of it to type new text in
The layer isn't locked and the closest I can get is a blue box around the button. Well it's not a button and in the library the icon is a movie clip. Its also in my "bitmaps" folder as and image? (tree icon) Does that matter? I'm begining to think this is a whole image?

I have a spark List defined as:

With the change handler defined like this:

At first, the change event works fine, and I get what I expect.
However, if I Ctrl-click on the selected item, to de-select it, i am unable to ever select an item again.
When I click on something to try to select it, the change event DOES fire, however, the ItemChangeEvent has both oldIndex and newIndex set to -1

This PHP contact form works well and is very simple. I have one checkbox in the fla file. However, it keeps displaying 'No' in the email message field, whether the checkbox is selected or not. It should display 'Yes' if the checkbox is selected, and 'No' if the checkbox is unselected.Here is the PHP:

I am using datagrid and added 3 columns to it in flex project. Data is provided to each column by using itemrenderer. Itemrenderer is checkbox for each column. Name of columns are col1,col2,col3. I never realized that fl.getDocumentDOM().selection doesn't retain the selection order... <sniff>. I was hoping to build relationships based on the order. I guess I took if for granted that tools like Maya and Max store the selection buffer in order of what was selected. I have been creating an e-learning package using RapidIntake software. They have a quiz file that is used throughout the course. I've downloaded the source files to try to change the font size of the checkbox component but its not working the normal way?I've tested it by putting another checkbox in the middle which you can see in my picture. But the same code isn't working for the original checkboxes.The code I've used is est.setStyle("fontSize",16);Checkbox2.setStyle("fontSize",16);The test checkbox is the one in the middle thats working.

I want to make a simple tick box questionaire in Flash (AS2) that stores data to a local text file when the user has submitted the form. So simple stuff like are you Male of Female. Is it possible for flash to store this information somewhere. It is for touch screens in an exhibition space so ideally it wouldn't be on the internet.
