Here's the scenario, I have 4 checkboxes I want to select all an so all check appears, but then I want to click back to previously click checkbox to deselect.

the problem is that when i click on the first button loads ok but when click on second still showing the first movie clip in the back ,,,,, i have try everything without luck ,,,, i guess i need to keep reading but will like to find an answer to this situation ,
I am trying to work out this issue in as3 and I'm sure its simple but can't seem to get my head around it. If anyone can see a sollution I would be very happy to hear from you. -Single-click on a row, doesn't make the cell show a text input field (only selects the row)
-Double-click on a row, doesn't make the cell show a text input field either
but
-Clicking a cell in an already selected row, shows a text input field ready to be edited.

the code is specific to cb1 and cannot be reused for other checkboxes the checkbox is deselected when the alert shows. Then when the user clicks no the checkbox is selected again. stop the uncheck event if the user clicks no on the alert box. Is it possible to intercept this in Flex?
I have a movieclip that contains some checkboxes "preferences_mc". I have an xml file that is loaded in and has an element called "isUnique" which has children with unique names like id, title, version and such. What I am trying to accomplish is for the form I am building to be able to select/deselect each checkbox and save the selection out to an xml file. I have gotten that far and everything is working perfectly. My problem is that after I load the xml back in and try to set the checkbox.selected = xmlPrefs.isUnique.id to get the checkbox to use the data from the xml file to decide whether it is selected or deselected, it ALWAYS selects the box whether it is true or false. I have tried everything. xmlPrefs.isUnique.id traces out as false which is correct but the screen still shows the checkbox selected.

Lets say i have a button on frame 1. And if you press it normal, you ll get to frame 2. But then if you click it on another way, you ll get to frame 3. How do i do that easy?! With another way i mean like shift click or ctrl click or is it an easier way?

I'm currently working on my first real software app. in flash. I'm currently still struggling with the checkboxes a bit. The problem is the math does not add up correctly I really don't know where I'm going wrong. I have a page which has an intro animation which lasts 314 frames and finishes with a button. When you click the button it takes you to a separate html page with a scrolling photogallery. When I click the 'back' button in the photogallery it takes me back to the first html page with the intro animation.
How do I make sure that when I click the back button it skips the first 314 frames (bearing in mind I am returning from a separate html page)?
I recently used one of those XSPF Flash player buttons on a website and of course it worked, played back music automatically, stops when you click button... but one weird thing I noticed is the song being cut off before it ends... One song I have is 4 minutes long, and only plays for 1.5 minutes..

This actions only works when I click to the next labels but doesn't work when I want to click back to the previous labels. For example, if I click onto (About Us) to (Services) and (Services) to (Quality) and (Quality) to Projects and (Projects) to (Contact Us)... it all works. If I then click from (Contact Us) back to (Projects) or even any previous buttons.

I am also having issues with the logo loading a second time when I click a separate button that takes me back to frame 1 with the code that creates the empty movie clip.
after i done all the animations and i want to paste it another fla. the movie clip animation positions not in the stage anymore, after i click on the timeline of the movie clip, it set path the movie clip to -8000+ X and Y. even i want to set to any number, it pop out invalid position. i have to use mouse drag the number back to position that i want. it's totally drive me crazy... really unstable.. sometimes i open back my fla, the movie clip position run too and i need to use transform tool double click set back to 0.

When the buttons are clicked, it takes the user to a different point in the timeline and loads the appropriate swf in the UILOader I have on stage.Everything was working fine, but it has suddenly decided to stop working. Now if you click a button on the index page, it loads the relevant swf just fine, but when you go back to the index page and click a different button, the UILoader will not show the corresponding swf and just appear blank, although I know its there as I can hear the sound of the swf playing! I'm not sure if its simply something blocking the swf, but I don't even know what it is! I'm using addChild to add little panels to the screen when a button is pressed, but they are hardly big enough to cover the whole of the UILoader!
View 1 RepliesOkay so our current assignment in class is to create our own version of the jeremy levine design website. But I am currently stuck and have not gotten anywhere for the last 3 days that I have worked on it.
The problem is when I click on the box to go into the wood grain texture, I want to be able to click on the X box that appears in order to go back to frame 42 in the main timeline. (the x is currently only on the box with the 1 on it.)

View 1 RepliesOur testing department found that my flash menu sometimes doesnt work after going back to a page by clicking Back button in browser (Firefox).
It happens rarely and randomly, yet still it happens.
i cant see any pattern in its behavior and any reason in it.

i've tested this in every way i could think of,
it gets ROLL_OVER event, but not CLICK event.
ive also tested it with hasEventListener and it always has. its just not triggering function.
BUT clicking anywhere on page outside flash makes it work again.
Question: whose fault is this? Flash? Drupal? Firefox? God?
UPDATE: it looks like its caused by <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/>.
Firefox seem to have problem with that.

I have a button labeled 'blueButton' and I'd like to use an anonymous function to handle the click, like so:

Problem is, the click handler is called multiple times per click. The number of times called seems to be random (sometimes 2, sometimes 4, sometimes 3 etc). could I be missing something in my code, or maybe I set up the button wrong?
also I noticed that it seems to always get called once on the first click. After the first click is when it starts getting called additional times, maybe that has something to do with it?
I created a movieclip animation that only activates when i rollover the movieclip button. I further extended the frames and created another frame animation that i active only when user clicks the button. So i have a roll over/out animation and click animation in the same movieclip in the same layer. Now the problem is that when i click on the button, its supposed to take me to another page, and it does, unfortunately without the click animation. That means after i click on the button its supposed to first finish the click animation and then go to another page. But when i click, it takes me to another page without showing the click animation
SO I tried the If function, but i seem to make a mistake somewhere and i dont know what to do. Now there is no error in script, but onw there is a problem in link, the button finishes the click animation but it does not go to the tarrgeted"about" frame. here's the code
