Actionscript 3.0 :: When Click The Back Button It Skips The First 314 Frames?
Mar 9, 2009
I have a page which has an intro animation which lasts 314 frames and finishes with a button. When you click the button it takes you to a separate html page with a scrolling photogallery. When I click the 'back' button in the photogallery it takes me back to the first html page with the intro animation.
How do I make sure that when I click the back button it skips the first 314 frames (bearing in mind I am returning from a separate html page)?
I have a flash movie. There is a timeline and a frame with some code. The problem is that Flash skips this frame with code sometimes. It does this absolutely randomly. It can loop 100 times and skip it on 101st. It can skip it on 3rd run.I'm using AS3, always put all the code in separate file. But what should one do if he needs to put EventDispatcher into one of the frames, for example? There is no guaranty that the code will be run.
I'm trying to use the tutorial found here: url...for my site. I always thought that this tutorial looked easy and recommended it to many friends. But now that I'm using it myself it seems to jump to 7% and go from there.
I have read all threads and can not find a solution but i am not somebody with a lots of knowledge about actionscript so here is my problem i am using this script .

We are running FMS 4.0 to stream on-demand MBR videos using the OSMF player. We have noticed that occasionally during playback the video freezes, while the audio skips back a few seconds and starts playing. Once the audio catches up, the video unfreezes and resumes normal playback.
I am trying to work out this issue in as3 and I'm sure its simple but can't seem to get my head around it. If anyone can see a sollution I would be very happy to hear from you. [URL]..If you click on the red button and click back and previous you will notice that the speed it goes back when you click previous is much slower the further through the slides you go?
[Code]...
This is a simplified version on the code, I'm sure its in this chunk somewhere.
In the continuing evolution of my code, I simply want a button to alternate moving the playhead backwards and forwards along the timeline between frames 1 and 17. This code is not working. I have attached a screen capture to clarify your questions in advance
Ok- so the idea is that when you click a button it plays the movies assigned to the variables gallery & button to the frames mentioned. Then the variables are changed and then when another buttons is clicked it does the same - 'except it doesn't - it does it once then sits there I have to use variables because there's a lot more buttons..but i don't understand why it doesn't work - it seems such a simple and obvious thing to try and do - why is it so HARD???
I recently used one of those XSPF Flash player buttons on a website and of course it worked, played back music automatically, stops when you click button... but one weird thing I noticed is the song being cut off before it ends... One song I have is 4 minutes long, and only plays for 1.5 minutes..
I am also having issues with the logo loading a second time when I click a separate button that takes me back to frame 1 with the code that creates the empty movie clip.
i have a flash file with a scrollpane. into this scrollpane i have loaded an external swf. how would i be able to get the external swf to change between frames when you click on a button within in it? it works perfectly as a stadalone file but whenever i load it into the scrollpane it stops working edit: i just realised, this might eb the wrong forum to post this in, should it be posted in the "flash mx 2004" forum?
I have an index page with several buttons on. When the buttons are clicked, it takes the user to a different point in the timeline and loads the appropriate swf in the UILOader I have on stage.Everything was working fine, but it has suddenly decided to stop working. Now if you click a button on the index page, it loads the relevant swf just fine, but when you go back to the index page and click a different button, the UILoader will not show the corresponding swf and just appear blank, although I know its there as I can hear the sound of the swf playing! I'm not sure if its simply something blocking the swf, but I don't even know what it is! I'm using addChild to add little panels to the screen when a button is pressed, but they are hardly big enough to cover the whole of the UILoader!
Am creating a two page document in flash cs4. Each of these 2 page documents have links to a learning resource on a web server. All I want is for the user to be able to navigate to and fro this two page document. Infact, I want to be able to click on a NEXT button to go the the nextpage and PREVIOUS PAGE button to go back to the previous page.
I have my main swf and another swf in "/tools/FrameJumper.swf" In my main swf I have a movieclip container on the stage "myContainer" and when I click a button it loads that "FrameJumper.swf" into that container. Now in that "FrameJumper.swf" I have a txt box and a button. here is the code on that button
I have a project (see attached) where I need to have the folders seem like they are floating in space, and I need the best way to make it so when you click on a back folder, it slides off the screen and come back in front of all the folders.
I'm having a performance problem that seem to be related to Flash Player 11.I noticed this mainly because Chrome auto-updates the flash player. So, it's now up to 11 in Chrome. During a sliding section transition, the flash player chokes and skips about 10-20 frames. In essence the content jumps, not a smooth transitions. You can see this at the following url. Using a browser with 10, plays as intended, a separate browser with 11, chokes and jumps ahead.
firstworldproblems-[url].....I have security sensitive site, that is more elaborate that I can't share here. But, the same issue is happening above.I'm using LoaderMax to load assets. Adding it to the stage and then animating them in from the left or right of the stage, using Tweenmax. The one I can't show is a series of images, 1280x640 pixels, 10 in total.Removing items from the stage when they are not visible, so I can get the CPU usage back. On Flash Player 10, this is working as intended. On 11 it jumps. I don't think it's the removing assets from the stage that's choking the player, because the above link has the same issue.I feel like this is a Flash Player 11 performance issue.
[URL] once it loads, if you click any of the links (keyholders crab button, travel button, or opportunity button), and proceed to the page, and then click "back" on the browser, the flash does not reload, or "replay". The only way to get it to replay is to right click the flash player, and click "play".
am just getting into flash, but my learning has been very slow due to job, family, social life, etc. I had a friend that came across a template that he liked and he wanted me to edit the template to his liking. I agreed and everything is about 99% done as far as the flash goes (not the total website). But I came across and issue and I have no idea how to fix it.
Here is the website: http:[url]...
If you go to the navigation and click "shafts", then click on one of the manufacturers, it takes you to that manufacturer page where he will be selling the golf clubs. But once you are on that page, you can't click the "Shafts" button again to take you back, you simply have to click the "back" button.
I have a movie clip that loads in the main timeline, when i click on any of my buttons theres a quick flash of the main page. Im loading my movies on level 1 so i guess my question is, how do i get rid of the movie on the main time line?
Here's the scenario, I have 4 checkboxes I want to select all an so all check appears, but then I want to click back to previously click checkbox to deselect.
I have a intro to a picture of a tree which has buttons on it. The intro is an embedded flv video (not using the FLV component). The video starts on frame one and runs to frame 2. The tree is on frame 3.When I click a button on the tree, it runs the respective frames then returns to the tree. When the tree appears, the sound of the video is playing in the background. How can I make this stop?
I have 5 different buttons for the navigation on my flash website. The first page is on frame one. When you click on any of the 5 buttons I want it to play frames 10 - 15 before moving to which ever frame the button 1-5 corresponds to. So:
Click on button 1 > plays frames 10 - 15 > Goes to frame 20 Click on button 2 > plays frames 10 - 15 > Goes to frame 30 Click on button 3 > plays frames 10 - 15 > Goes to frame 40 etc
creating a flip-book in flash (using AS3) . I've looked at the other flip-book programs and editors out there, and none really give the customization that my company wants.I have something working, but the page scoping seems to be off. The pages will turn back and forward with a button click but they flip out of order. However, it all runs fine with no error when the user clicks on the pages themselves. This is the code from the main timeline (where I'm getting an error).
basically this code will work like a browser back button its very simple but "could end up very long" basically it will act "similiar to the browser back button"
Code:
on (release) { if(page1 = _currentframe){ _root.gotoAndStop("quiz"); } else if (page0 = _currentframe){
[code]....
it works when the (page1 = _currentframe){ is rotated with the first if statement...because for somereason it seems to not recognise the "else if's"
