View 2 Repliesi have a stop(); tag in a keyframe, but whenver i play the movie flash skips over it and keeps on playing... so im wondering.
View 1 RepliesI have a page which has an intro animation which lasts 314 frames and finishes with a button. When you click the button it takes you to a separate html page with a scrolling photogallery. When I click the 'back' button in the photogallery it takes me back to the first html page with the intro animation.
How do I make sure that when I click the back button it skips the first 314 frames (bearing in mind I am returning from a separate html page)?
I'm using Google Maps with Flex 3. I'm using custom markers (custom icons) to mark places on the map. It works fine. The problem is that in some cases, I don't need a custom icon, I need the standard marker.
For example, how would I set condition C's icon to the standard marker:

I don't know how to revert to the default marker where I wrote "STANDARD MARKER".
I'm interested in understanding the ActionScript 2 code that will allow a random decision on the next marker to jump to. I have five markers on a time line and want the movie to stop after playing a sequence of elements, then randomly choose the next marker to jump to and play, this would continue forever.The goal is to communicate a few concepts without starting from the same concept every time in a linear manner.

View 1 RepliesBasically what I have is a 31 frame, frame-by-frame animation that plays(no stop() command at all currently) in a continuous loop on one "page" of a flash presentation. What I need to be able to do is set it up in actionscript 2.0 so that when a viewer has his mouse over the movie symbol and then clicks and drags to the right, the movie plays forward, click and drag to the left and it plays in reverse, and on release stops on the frame it is currently on.
I need it set up so that if someone is dragging it to the right and reverses direction, the frames are played in reverse from that point (frame) and vice versa and releasing the mouse button stops the movie on that frame: e.g. if the viewer is dragging right up to frame 20 then starts dragging to the left the animation will play backwards from frame 20 to frame 1 so long as the mouse button is held down) I can't use playback buttons, I have to set this up this way for a specific reason for a work project. I'm not even sure if I explained it correctly If I can set this up on the frame the symbol is nested in, fine. If it has to be done within the symbols' animation, fine. Doesn't matter really, the end result is what counts.
how to control a movie clip to play, say every 3rd frame instead of every 1? Thus creating the illusion it is playing faster.

I've added a movie clip i've created to the stage and it works fine... the movie clip has 4 frame labels inside it with different content on each label. The main timeline has 4 buttons and I want to be able to click one of these buttons, it will load the movie clip (which it currently does) but goto a specific frame label within the movie clip. I am trying to make buttons that play a movie then go to the page.
I want you to be able to click on the button (bottle) and then the motion tween play out and then when its finished direct you to the desired page.
I posted the code above that I used to get the button to play out on click, but I cannot get the code right to get it to redirect to a different page or url right after the movie plays?

I simply want to have a movie (box1) to play when a button (btn1) is clicked.
NOTE: The button is within a movie clip (bulb1) which is within another movie clip (trees).

Actionscript 3 ---- Looking to have a movie clip and 2 buttons. Click the right button to make the movie clip go to the right, left button to make it go left (play backwards in the timeline) Currently the movie clip is set up as a 90 frame animation that moves across the stage on a motion tween. The right button just makes the movie clip play, so I'm looking to make my left button play that timeline in reverse. I've found lots of examples for AS2 online, but none for AS3......

View 3 RepliesAll works fine untill I do something to the loaded swf.For example if I click a button on the loaded swf the button works but then when I click the button on the main movie to load the next and play the transition the transistion doesnt work.If I dont do anything to the loaded swf the transitions work.Is it something to do with the paths being changed when the loaded swf is acivated?

View 4 RepliesI have a test button i would like to have play a movie where a graphic expands. Once stopped, I would like to be able to click that same button and have the graphic go backwards. I would prefer to have timeline reverse, rather than lengthen the timeline of the mc because then i have to line up the start and end, and if one changes, i have to remember to change the other.

I'm having some problems with the code below. It may be something small that I am just not seeing. I basically have a drop down window and a button named btn1. The first click makes it pull down on the main stage, the second returns it to frame #1 by rewinding the movie. Well... It only works once, I need it to work multiple times, so I am missing something.
