my question is:i make swf file in html using "swfobject" and footer position fixed.that all going good. but when i open in widow (ie8 or another) and i make small window, position footer in back from swf file?swf file always in front and close the footer..so what i want.. a.. the footer position in front of swf.

I'm using SWFObject to embed Flash Videos. Is there a way to get notified as soon as the user hits some specific time marks of the embedded video? I.e. get a notification from the Browsers Flash Plugin?
My goal is to change the page content at specific times of the embedded video.
Just like in HTML / CSS you can set the position of a div to be 'fixed' using css. For example, a header that is fixed at the top of the web page when the user scrolls down the webpage.
Is this possible in Flex?
I have had a look at the
VDividedBox
control which kind of does what I'm after but don't like the 'divider'.

With swfobject 2.2, how do you specify the desired version of flash you require? I need flash 10, but swfobject won't perform an upgrade install with the provided expressInstall. swf in the swfobject 2.2 distributable. How do I get an upgrade install to occur for flash 10?

This seems to be a popular argument lately, but I'm just looking for some input. I've always used a variable time step in flash, using getTimer, and finding the dt each frame. I then multiply the dt by whatever variables or constants for updates, such as a velocity for example. In mathematical theory, this would keep constant velocity or movement no matter what the framerate, however this is not actually the case.
Lately I've been using lots of particles and collisions, and while I usually see around 50-60, sometimes it will drop to 30 or even 20. That's a big fluxuation. For the times that it does drop, the movement will slow down, until it picks back up again, and it will seem to shoot forward all of a sudden. It's not really as drastic as I make it sound, but it's noticible enough.

The trace's are because it didn't work like I thought it would.Etc the middle movieclip didn't center itself but rather positioned itself seemingly how it pleased so I traced its x position and the var stageXcenter position and like suspected it shows different values.
I have a full-browser background slideshow. To do this, I'm using some AS in conjunction with the handy dandy swffit. I would like to ensure that the slideshow scales appropriately with the browser window size (as it is currently doing), but I would lilke the location of my logo, which is in the lower left hand corner, to remain fixed so that it is not pushed out of view when the browswer gets scaled to a small size.

This blur scroller is set to adapt to the size of the main window, as far as I understand. I would like to know if there is a way to put the scrolling area to a fixed size rather than using the height of the main window to scroll? I basically want to use this scrollbar in a fixed size area of say 300 width and 400 height.
I am experiencing some difficulty in having the flash content show on this page. I have checked the code and the paths and everything appears to be correct. I have another page in the same directory as the swf file and it works fine so I know that swfobject and the swf file are working properly. Any ideas why the swf file is not showing properly in the first page?

I have two example pages. http:[url]....this displays 100% width and height flash without a problem across all the browsers including IE9.http:[url]....this displays 100% width and height with min-height and min-width without a problem across all the browsers except for the IE9.I need #2 link work with IE9. (fullsized flash with min-height and min-width).

I'm attaching an swf to show what I'm talking about. But essentially, I have a full browser flash set up, with an animation running in the background. I would like there to be a horizontal navigation bar at the bottom that is always at the same spot on the bottom. I would like the width of the bar to always stretch to cover the entire bottom of the browser window. Right now everything is peachy except for getting the nav bar to stretch across. I tried SwfObject for loading swf on a website. It is all good with webkit and mozila based browsers but not with IE.[URL].. In IE 8 the footer not loading, it like crashes after the swf loads. In IE 7 the player not working, so the footer loads.
How can I debug it? I have a Mac, Linux, Win7 with IE 8 64 bit. On IE 64-bit it gives a message to update the flash player but there is no update for this player from Adobe.
