Actionscript 3.0 :: AMF PHP: Error Retrieving Service Info
Aug 1, 2009
I have install AMF Php and launch gateway infos: amfphp and this gateway are installed correctly. You may now connect to this gateway from Flash. Note: If you're reading an old tutorial, it will tell you that you should see a download window instead of this message. This confused people so this is the new behaviour starting from amfphp 1.2.
I'm quite new to A.S and lately i got a problem when trying to trace the info of an attached movie clip.I created 2 movie clips named "test" and "testChild". In actions frame of "testChild" i put this:
I am working on a flash movie for a client and I have not used flash much before at all. I have the object/embed code here below with the following src path sos.swf?wID=5. I need that wID so when I load certain variables from a php page later on in the movie I can access that persons information (wID correspons to the primary table key).
I have tried several things and I am not sure just how to access the flash URL variables. To make sure I am putting the action script in the right place I have only one layer, and when I click on that, I enter the actionscript in the actionscript window for that layer. Is that the correct place to put it? I am pretty sure it is but I just want to double check. The variables.text at the bottom are my dynamic text boxes that are displaying information from the sos.php file. Nothing is showing up in my movie and I am unaware of good debugging techniques for actionscript. I have tried to trace(widgetID); but nothing shows up in my movie. I am not sure if that is because of the image I have on the screen or what.
By the way here is the part in my php script that sends the variables over. They do have data in them but nothing is being displayed in the dynamic text boxes. PHP Code: $vars = "&firstname=".$name."&years=".$totalYears."&months=".$totalMonths."&days=".$totalDays."&minutes=".$totalMinutes."&meals=".$var_meals."&meetings=".$var_meetings."&movies=".$var_movies;echo $vars;
It is only a "proof of concept" piece of code and it "lives" in the first frame of the timeline of the Flash IDE. What happens? When I compile my SWF (AIR for iPhone), I get this error:
How do you communicate an error to the web service consumer ?
For example, my web service has a function to insert employee into db.Suppose while inserting the data , the database gave an error,what should be the best way to inform the user about the error.
One way is to depict it through the return value of the web service method but what to do when the function is supposed to return a complex object like employee when there is no error ,and will send an error string when there is an error ?
I have Spring MVC + JAXB web service and Flex client. I am getting HTTP 406 error when using RestFUL API. Here is request and response headers on image:
I am building a little Flash app that will consume some web services over HTTP. When I am in Flexbuilder and run my app there, it works fine. When I goto to my FlexBuilder project on my OS and double-click on it, it works fine. When I zip up my bin-debug file, I get this error:
So I googled that and got information on about the crossdomain.xml file. Well, I can't put a crossdomain file in the service I am calling, but I can put one somewhere else. So I put the following lines in Flex app:
I'm trying a simple tutorial of retrieving RSS feeds from yahoo and keep getting this error: RPC Fault faultString="Security error accessing url" faultCode="Channel.Security.Error" faultDetail="Destination: DefaultHTTP" I've seen some articles that say I need a crossdomain.xml file, but I don't really know how to set this file up and how to use it from the Flex SDK compiler (mxmlc).
The Apache service named reported the following error: >>>[Thu Feb 16 17:07:10 2012] [info] mod_jithttp - FMS installation path: "C:/Program Files/Adobe/Flash Media Server 4.5/"I installing FMS 4.5 in windows 2008 r2 X64 ,but apache error ,pls help me? why?
Flex HTTPService giving timeout error as web service take more time to response. Due to large voueme Is there any work around to handle overcome the error
i am trying to add a web service in flex 4. This web service is deployed in share point 2010 in the intranet . I am able to see this wsdl file through browser but trying to introspect the service is giving an authentication error. I am getting the following error :-
There was an error during service introspection.
WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Unable to resolve imported document at 'http://sql2008:47672/_vti_bin/StoryboardingDatabaseConnect.asmx?WSDL'.: java.io.IOException: Authentication failure
i'm trying to integrate with a plain http service which has both http/https flavors available for consumption. sadly they never thought of a flash client consuming these services and it will take another 6 months to roll a crossdomain xml policy file on their service (there security team has to approve the process, pm team has to include it in their roadmap and blah blah). i've already implemented the flash client which works fine from a flash ide security sandbox. is it possible to get around this crossdomain policy requirement.
my flash file will always be hosted as [URL] and i will be communicating with [URL]. i'm saying [URL] because they do some loadbalancing at the backend and allocate random servers on connection (which is fine from their server side design perspective). I tried putting following two lines in the constructor of my movie clip, but couldn't pass through the security sandbox error:
I've got to invoke a RPC service, and all the parameters sent are String. It works quite well when the data is relatively small, but when one of the string grows to the size about 10 or over hundred KB, immediately after the service is invoked, it goes to the error handler:
[FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="Error #2006: The supplied index is out of bounds." faultCode="InvokeFailed" faultDetail="null"] messageId="85CF2FB3-E79D-779F-87F9-B04520318D3A" type="fault" bubbles=false cancelable=true eventPhase=2]
I need to pass a struct and a string in a web service. I am using a WebService components to do so.upon my search, there is no struct type in actionscript and so I used a class for that one.
public class UserInfo{ public var name:String; public var dateAdded:Date; }
and I'm filling it up so that I can pass it on the web service like this:
var newUser:UserInfo = new UserInfo(); newUser.name = "myName"; newUser.birthdate = new Date(); webServComponentId.operationToCall(newUser, "password");
Upon sending this request, it prompts me an error of Error #1088.
the component that is being called by webServComponentId.operationToCall(newUser, "password"); is this:
I'm using a bulk image loader from FlashAndMath. The code has you send a list of images to load and it simultaneously attempts to load all at once, adding each load req to a list.
My problem is that when one doesn't load and throws an error, I don't know which load request failed. Are there built-in ways to get it to report what image it was trying to load, or at least which of the load requests threw the error? I tried doing an event.contentTarget.content.name and it reports an instance #, but not the name I tried assigning when I called the URLRequest.
I have a single server that runs IIS and FMS, both on port 80. The server has two internal IPs assigned to it, one for IIS and the other for FMS. I also have two static public IPs. My router maps one public IP to IIS' internal IP and likewise for FMS.
IIS works fine. Using an online port scanner, I was able to determine that port 80 is responsive for both public IPs. Before I had configured my Adapter.xml and fms.ini, only IIS' public IP was responsive. This seems to indicate that FMS is fine.
However, when my ActionScript creates a NetConnection and calls connect(), my netStatus callback takes about half a minute to be invoked, and I get "NetConnection.Connect.Failed". Which is not very informative. Is there a way to get more info about the cause of the error?
I am experiencing a strange problem when I want to bind a service to a button or something else:
[Code]...
I can add the services to the Data Services panel but I have two strange things:
1) when I want to configure the return type he doesn't let me create a new ValueObject type, I only get the bottom datagrid which states: Properties returned by the operation: Property: country_Id, provence_Id, city_Id, id_cdpc, district_Id with the related values on the right side. Why can't I create a new data type on the top?
2) When I accept this and want to add the service call to a button (drag&drop) I get the following error: Error occurred while generating code. Make sure that there are no compiler eroors and try again after reopening the file. Componentn type services.cdpc.CDPC not found... (ps: When I perform a Test Operation everything seems to be ok, I get the expected output values)
I have some scrolling content (info). I've also made my own scroll bar.I want the scrollBar dragger to be positioned in relation to the info._y as the user scrolls info.I have created two vars: one that worsk out where info._y is as a percentage and the other that works out where the scroll._y dragger should be as a percentage...
Actionscript Code: var scrollBarPercent = Math.round(scrollBar.dragger._y / [code]........
also onMouseWheel working too.I need a small bit of code that takes the % of info._y and moves the scrollBar dragger to the same % but in relation to the Stage.height...so if projectGalleryPercent = 50%, make dragger._y 50% of Stage.height using scrollBarPercent.
In my application I have a video playing from a NetStream. Every second on timer I update a text label with statistics like stream.info.currentBytesPerSecond. The problem occurs when the NetConnection associated with this NetStream closes: the getter for stream.info throws
What I'd like it to do is find out what key was last pressed and then based on which key it was, go to a specific frame of guy_mc. So basically if the left key was the last key press I want it to go to frame "Left", if right key was the last, go to frame "Right," etc. I'm completely lost on this one and every tutorial I come across is based in AS2 which has much simpler methods than AS3.
Code:
//listen for guy_mc to see if all keys are up guy_mc.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, allKeys); //if all keys are up...
hey im trying to make a mp3 player and when u click on a play btn it plays that song. but i keep getting this output error "Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. at slide_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()" this is my code
ActionScript Code: import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.easing.*; var slidebind:Rectangle = new Rectangle(3, 3, 159, 0); var loadsnd:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("s1.mp3"); var thissnd:Sound = new Sound();
I have an array variable called ball[#], which value starts at 0 and is incremented up to 8. I also have a corresponding array variable called _ballPlaced which returns true or false if a ball is placed in a target zone. What I would like to do is retrieve the array value variable from the ball[#] at any time. For instance, the ball[#] variable can be clicked and dragged, so when it's selected it becomes the event.target. E.g. How can I put the array value of the ball[0] in the ball _ballPlaced array.
ActionScript Code:event.target._ballPlaced[/* retrieve vale of ball[0] array i.e. 0 and put it in here */]
So basically, I need to find a way to retrieve the image url that is stored in a database, and I need to do it through asp.net if possible (I want to avoid XML if I can). I'm an actionscript 3 newbie so I don't know what calls I might use to connect to the .net page, but I am able to retrieve the data through SQL to the .net page.
I'm using multiple timers in a script, but I would like to use the same function with a Switch to define the appropriate action corresponding to the event.target. I've tried e.target.name but it says that name isn't a property of the Timer class... how can I retrieve the names (timer or timer2) within the onTimer function?
Code: var timer:Timer = new Timer(3000); var timer2:Timer = new Timer(3500); timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, onTimer);
I have a input box in which what is typed is returned in a text field on the same page.I've created the variable inputTxt to hold the typed text and added the following code to the submit button, which works fine.
Is there a way of finding out the color of a graphic? For example if i have an array of rectangles, each with a different color set using graphics.beginFill(), can I then do something like:
I have created a datagrid with 2 columns. The first one is the normal text data and the second column contains buttons for each cell. What I want to do is retrieve the text information when the corresponding button on the same row is clicked. How do I get this information? I am unable to use selectedItem because I do not want to select the correct row before pressing the button.
