Creating Dynamic Video Based On Uploaded Content?

I have to create dynamic content based on content uploaded to site and I need to know best tools for this.In a nutshell. User uploads images. Images embeded into existing video and animated. New video produced for download So far I have looked at Flash Media Server, Flex etc but not sure what the best tool is for the server side production of content. I know I can produce the custom MXML and AS files based on content uploaded and using the Flex SDK I can render these into a SWF. What I don't know is if There are limiatations to this in the context of what I want to achieve For instance can a product like Flash Media Server do something similar.Transcoding is also required hence the interest in FMS.

Im working on a project and I dont know how to even think through the problem, as I've only worked through Flash through AS3, and the following needs to be done completely in AS too.
I have two pieces of content - some flash video, and an mp3, both loaded dynamically with loaders etc. All this I think I have fairly well in hand. What I'd like to do make the 'hick-up' as these tracks loop, disappear by cross fading the video and mp3 across it self in the loop - if that makes any sense at all. I suspect that I'll have to delve into the timeline, but perhaps strangely, never done so.

I'm relatively new to AS3. There's one thing that I don't quite understand about Sprites. I'm making a tile based game, and all the tile graphics for a level are inside one movie clip in each frame. Would I be able to go about creating multiple sprites based on the frames in said movieclip's timeline I would I have to go through and make a separate library graphic for each.

I have created a flash movie with a video in it. I used a skin when I imported the video. It plays fine in Flash. When I export the .swf file and drag it into Dreamweaver the skin does not show up.Once in Dreaweaver I set the parameters to wmode_transparent.If so how do I go around it b/c I will need it transparent.

I've uploaded a video produced by Camtasia, but it's not played at all! Have a look: [URL] You see that the video is being downloaded, but not played.
The player is ARPlayer 1.7. The video is a mp4 file.
The file is perfectly played on a local computer, but after uploading to ftp stops being played. I don't why...
P.S. It's interesting that if I make simply an swf-video file, it's played good: [URL]. But I don't like this option, because the swf-video is 30MB vs 5MB of the mp4-video.

I'm building a cms and I want users to be able to upload videos but I'm not familiar with video upload & conversion. Is there an example or has anybody coded a solution like this?
I heard about ffmpeg but I don't know how to integrate it with asp.net.As simple solution I can make my clients upload flv files but then I would still need to get a screenshot from that fvl.

I'm using flash to design a basic website.Within that website I want to place a .flv file. Everything works fine in preview mode and test movie mode.The problem comes when I puplish to the web.I'm just using flash to publish which puts all the files in a folder.IN previous attempts, once I load those files onto a server it does not play the .flv file.The .sfw skin will show up but the general .sfw file for the project doesn't seem to be finding the .flv file.And yes, I'm uploading the .flv file to the server.Is there something wrong with the html code that it can't find the .flv file?I can replicate this problem on my desktop by moving the .flv file out of it's project folder.Once I do that and then click the .html file the page will load but it won't find the video file.It's like it can only open that file if it's in the original project folder and the folder doesn't get moved.

I have a project that will have a video upload capability. The thing with this is when the user uploads it has to of course play in the custom Flash player - the only way for that to happen, to my knowledge, is if that video is in FLV format. how to convert the uploaded video file to FLV (serverside not client).

I have a flash template that I bought and customized with dreamweaver, flash and Coda html editor, the website test PERFECTLY when I test the index.html file, all of the buttons work fine, I have a total of 12 .flv videos and they ALL play back fine, when I play the index.html file, the problem occurs when I upload the files to my godaddy server, 11 of the videos play fine, the whole site is fine, it is one particular .flv file that will not play once it is uploaded to the server. I have changed the orders the video play, renamed the file and changed the html flv path to reflect the name change, I have deleted all the files off my server, refreshed the server logged out and re logged on and uploaded everything again, I have re-encoded the original .mov file to a .flv file again using Adobe media encoder, still nothing, I am wondering why would the index.html play this particular .flv file fine, but once uploaded to the server it will not play, the path is correct I have checked it, if the path were the problem the index.html for that particular file would not play when I test the index.html file before I upload it, but it plays fine until it is uploaded, I am uploading the whole folder on the root, and this particular video file is in a folder with all the rest of the .flv files, I even tried changing the path and putting this particular .flv file in a seperate folder and change the path still nothing.

When I import a video to my Adobe Flash CS4 and choose to add a full screen button the full screen button does not work. I choose the "Load external video with playback component" import setting and import my flv. The volume, pause and play all work but not the full screen button. The full screen button works when I open the file in my flash player on my pc.

how it is possible to edit dynamic content and modify the content and save it, all within flash.I have tried some experiments in the past and have got the text to change etc which is easy but i need a way to save the content so the next time anybody sees the flash it will have the latest content until i change it again.

I am working on a project and I am trying to figure out how to resize the swf at runtime based on the content (which is brought in by xml) . What I am trying to do is similar to [url]... but unfortunately this is written in AS1 and doesnt help me much!I know I need to use the ExternalInterface but I am very new to AS3 and am not sure how to do this. I have a widget that is displaying an ATOM feed. The widget can be placed on any html page and the content can be changed by changing some parameters within the feed address. What I want to do however is make it so that the content changes based on the content that the page is on. So for example if the page the widget was on displayed content about cars, the widget would load feed content associated with cars. How to determine the context of an html page from within Flash?

I have been working with this script for a few days now and have gotten to a near completed point, but I can't seem to script the final step. I have an xml file that is being parsed into my .fla file. There are 3 buttons which are dynamically created based on a tag called <navItem>. The function 'displayContent' should be displaying the appropriate chunk of xml in various text boxes, but instead, it only displays the last chunk (the 3rd chunk) no matter which button I click on. I would like to create a demonstration through a web browser of our phone application. I can us Flash to create the demo but I want to avoid using Flash for compatibility reasons. I was thinking I could use HTML + CSS + JS. I want to know if anybody else have experience with this. I am open to the idea of using HTML5 but need to be pointed to the right direction to research.

Basically I have a prototype that creates polygons based on an array. works well. I then have another prototype that's supposed to create polygons using said polygon prototype.
So the below is:
1 - the polyMaker prototype
2 - an array of arrays ($arrowListB). basically each array item should be a new polygon.
3 - the problematic genArrows prototype.
What it should do is loop through the $arrowListB array and create a container clip ($cont). Within each container clip it should make a $arrowClip to be used in making the polygon (an arrow actually). It works until I get to the line after creating the movieclips:

Once I put that line in, it only makes one polygon and doesn't create the other (7 in this case) movie clips. I'm not sure if I'm just not referencing correctly or what.

What I am trying to accomplish is creating a flash based form. Basically a form that people fill out if they want to book an event. so there would be several fields to fill out. Name, Date and Time of Event, Contact Number, ect. there would be text fields to fill out and combo boxes. I just want a simple form where people fill out that info, it makes sure that everything is filled out before submitting. then when you submit it, it sends the info to a master email... where we can check it and get the info. does any one know of anything similar that i can use as reference to help me accomplish this?

I'm currently working in Flash mx 2004 and am creating a version of 'what happened in history today'. So my final layout will have the following iobjects.
Heading: 'current date'
Title: 'On this day in History'
Text box: Which displays the right description from a text file. history.txt
Image box: which displays a pic related to the current date.
I know basic Flash but have been playing around for ages am having real trouble getting things to work correctly. The main priority is to get the text loaded based on the current date. I have an images folderwhere the pictures are stored with files names related to date i.e. 14feb.jpg and my history.txt file is set out with a line for each date. i.e., 14feb=Valentines Day etc.
