FLV Looping And HTML Interaction (Streaming Intro Video)

I am streaming an FLV as an intro video for a website. This intro video contains two HTML buttons (login + enter) overlayed using a transparent DIV. The client has specifically asked for the video to loop if the user clicks on "login" as they will need additional time to enter their details. However, if the user doesn't click on anything then they want the site to automatically carry on to the homepage. My question is: How do I get the HTML to communicate these conditions to my FLV player that is streaming the intro video? This is AS3.0.

I am still a NooB to Flash, but did finally get to build a successful preloader (ahem). Now that I have that built, I was wondering if it is possible to loop a sound within the preloader 'scene'. This is what I have built for final production:cene 1: Diesel Startup SoundScene 2: Preloader movie, while main movie loads (w/ loopable diesel engine sound?)Scene 3: Sounds stop, plays 10 sec movie, then 'goes to url'Can anyone point me in a direction to see a preloader w/ looped sound, or a project that shows how to do this? Or, even better, show me how the code should look? I'm getting lost in code!

I have a 10 second Intro video that I would like to play before each main video plays. The videos are streaming through FMS 3.5. At the moment I have to attach the intro to the start of the main videos and render out in Premiere Pro CS5 Ideally I would like to set it up so that the intro starts for the 10 seconds and then auto switches to the manin video. To show an example of what I need to do here is a link to an Archery site ( I also do archery as a hobby and noticed this)[URL] If you click on any of the 8 parts for either day 1 or Day two, you will notice a couple the 5 second intro screens and it then automatically goes back to 0 to start the main video.

I'm streaming an mp3 that plays while my movie plays. I did this through an empty movie clip with an instance name soundLoader. Then on an actions layer I put the following:holidayTune = new Sound(soundLoader);holidayTune.loadSound("Jacks_Stomp.mp3",true);This works great, but I need it to loop. It's ending before my movie does and since the length of the movie really depends on the user's participation and how long they take to make selections (it's an interactive piece), I need it to keep playing.

I have a video embedded in Flash as an FLV. I'm able to get the video to play through the way I want, but when the video plays through and ends, I want to have two options/"buttons" display that allow the user to either replay the video a la youtube, or link to another web page.
I know it must a very basic question but I can't seem to find any answers. I've included a screen capture of the end of the video.

I am having a strange delay issue when clicking on a button. My code is simple and is as follows:
fight.onPress = function() {
getURL("pages/pageOne.html", "_self");
}
stop();
-fight is the instance name of the button
-the code is in the actions layer as it should be
-there is no other AS within the animation
The problem is when the animation finishes and a "click here" button comes up, it takes several clicks for the button to actually work. It eventually goes to the url but only after multiple clicks, between 1 and 8. The hit box of the button is larger than the button itself so its not the empty counters in the letters or spaces between words.

I'm new to actionscript, and don't understand the basics of the code's structure, but I've looked around a bit on here, and unless I'm missing it, I can't find how to stop a sound on the timeline. I'm using CS5, and the flash file is version 10 with AS 3.0.My website has an intro video that lasts for 16 sec with sound for all 16 seconds. I have a link to skip the intro, but when i click the link, and the time line advances to the frame that i've specified after the intro, the sound continues to play until all 16 seconds are finished.I've seen how to stop all sounds with the SoundMixer, but after the intro, I have another 2 second sound that plays as the buttons for my main links come flying into the stage. So I dont want to turn that sound off as well.here is to target the intro sound file (which i've placed in a movie clip) in the SoundMixer volume variable, but I don't know how to code that.

I am building a website for a project of the university. as i am not a programmer i bought a template from flashden. i need to do some adjustements and alleready asked the author to help, but he has no time to do. i thought maybe i'll get some help over here.
I need a fullscreen video as an intro for that page. there should be a skip button and when the video has finished playing you should get to the page... the page uses a percentage preloader and i want the same preloader for the video, so that it looks like it belongs to the page.

I am streaming flash video and the dimension of the video is 1280 by 720 (same size as the stage)
but just before the video streams, there is a quick flash of the video (about 320px by 240px) at the top corner of the stage, and then it plays the videos at the correct size (which is 1280 by 720) .... a quick flash is the best way I can explain it.

have a FLV (video) that we'd like to set up as a quickintro before the browser is automatically re-directed to the homepage. Trouble is, the AS written so far opens the new pageimmediately; there's no wait-for-a-trigger written into it, andfrankly, no trigger. The movieclip is a self-starting one-framer;when I select it, I cannot create actions ("Current selectioncannot have actions applied to it"). I can, however, select the keyframe and write actions. If I have an FLV that I've output as SWF with skin to have embedded into an HTML page, and now a 'skip intro' is needed - though I'd have to make note of the actual time or keyframe in which the intro completes...How is this possible? Clearly, a button would need to be added for that kind of interactivity?

For the current site I'm working on, I need to display an intro video while other ssets(mostly flv files)load in the background.The issue is the framerate drops from ~30 to about ~1 because of the loading. When the videos loadinto memory, it grows by about 266MB~ and until it's 'written' the framerate drops.Is there any workaround/solution that will allow me to play an intro video while the assets load intomemory ?

I need a flash video player for our public site where users will share videos.The video usage model is similar to youtube as far as video part is concerned.Users will upload and share videos. Users will browse and play all shared videos as well.The videos will be streamed from the server and our app is a .NET/C#/JQuery application.We have 3 options:
1) Either buy a commercial flash player
2) Customize a open source player or use free player and customize its gui
3) Develop our own (time consuming and last resort)
I am required to find a flash video player with these requirements:
Player should work in all major browsers (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari)
Player should have way to inject Advertisement clips when playing a video file
Light weight and easy to integrate
Must support streaming and scale
Plus all other basic features of a flash video player.

I'm working with a swf file (a simple flash movie) and I am trying to get it to loop. I've tried setting loop="true" in the embed tag, and for the object.
Does this mean that the problem is in the swf file itself?

I'm looking to duplicate the video-embedding technique shown on [URL], whereby they show the flash video to all platforms where flash is available, and only show the HTML5 player on mobile devices. (specifically, iphone / ipad)
Is there a browser-sniffing framework, or some other method available to accomplish this?

I have a .swf file that is not looping although I have added the parameter to do so. It plays just the once, and at the end of the video it stops instead of looping.

I have a netStream loading an flv file from our server and it works great in the swf. However, when published to html it doesn't load the flv. I have a file search script that tells me the file is there so I know the swf can see it, but it just wont load the flv.
I believe the problem has to do with the way html handles the server's file path [URL]. I know this has to be the case because if I point it to a local server with a drive name (i.e. U:/flash/movies/myMovie.flv) then it works fine in html.
how to get around this and get the html to load the file?
