I have an fla file with a simple flv video player control. How do I add a big "Play Button" similar to an embeded YouTube video in the middle of the video when it isn't set to auto play. Some videos have black screens when they start, so it looks pretty barren with a bunch of black players all over.
It's with a Flash overlay that has been custom made to overlap a .flv video running in Flowplayer (open source video player at flowplayer.org) The Flash overlay is mostly transparent and just includes a few buttons over top the video to allow visitors to share, email and visit a related website. Take a look here for example:[URL]
The video and Flash buttons work fine when videos are played within Flowplayer at normal size in the browser, but when making it fullscreen using Flowplayer, the Flash overlay plugin does not resize to fullscreen with it. Then, when made regular size again it gets distorted, as you can see from the example.
I know it might involve creating a custom onResize() function, but I haven't figured this out yet with Flowplayer. There are vague instructions & snippets of code here under "Layout management" section on flowplayer . org/documentation/developer/writing-flash-plugins.html
Code: override public function onResize():void { /* set _childButton width according to my new width,
[Code]....
Interesting, but doesn't tell me much of what to do. I have a feeling it might involve making a new .as class in Flash and associating it to the custom buttons overlay .swf. On the right track?
get the overlay to resize using onResize and what code should be used would be very helpful. Others may be also trying to make custom overlay plugins too, and the fullscreen issue would be the next step to know after that and make it look more complete.
I want to play the music file in flash player (which is embedded obviously) by clicking the play button which is in the web page (not in flash player).
I just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.
I am oriented around html/css webdesign, and graphic design in photoshop, but know nothing of Flash, and i am attempting to learn!I have found a lot of complex tutorials but none that fit my specification. All i need to know is how to make an interface incorporating a play button which plays a .flv file. I already have a .flv file ready and the graphic i want to use for the button, but no idea how to begin. The .flv i want to play is a short 3-4 minute clip of someone talking including audio - i dont know the best way to play it and have heard of different options including embedding or somehow linking to an external flv file.I have tried various tutorials to try to achieve a simple interface with play button - i dont need a skin, rewind, forward, etc, just a play button and for it to go away while the video is playing, and perhaps a pause/stop button in the corner of the swf, over the top of the flv file itself. But I have had no success, mainly due to errors within the actionscript.
I checked all flaskit sources and tutorials. All of them are telling about mp3 players with stop, play and pause buttons.
Is there any source or tutorial about a radio which continiously play songs ? No pause, no play, no stop button. it will play songs in specific folder nonstop in loop. ?
I have set the features to be empty which works fine except in the flash player. It still shows the big play button.I realise I can manually hide this but I'd rather find the proper solution
$('video').mediaelementplayer({ features: [], success: function (me) { [code]..........
I'm trying to make a simple music player with only one button for Play & Pause the music. What I have now is a MovieClip with:
1st Keyframe: active state for play Button 2nd Keyframe: active state for pause button 3rd Keyframe: hover state for play button 4th Keyframe: hover state for pause button
The script works OK, and play and pause the music without problems as expected.
The problem comes after the second click in the play/pause button when the alternance between two states becomes chaotic. The button never returns to the play state although the music was paused.
This is the code:
/**** Objects and Vars ****/ var AutoPlay:Boolean = false; var isPlaying:Boolean = false;
I'm building a flv_video AS3 player. I'm using steaming-video.The player is working fine, but there is something that I want to improve. Currently when I push play button and if I drag&drop the scrubber of progress-bar somewhere in the area that is still not buffered, the player doesn't start to play from that position. So I want to do it.
I am making a head unit "wall" for an AV store. the wall will have all the various head units they carry. When clicked, I want a small overlay to come up over the rest of the app that displays basic info about the unit. Then a simple click to make the box disappear... There are several head units, so efficiency would be ideal.
I'm trying to make a simple flash mp3 player with a play/pause toggle button called toggle_btn. The button is actually a MovieClip with two buttons inside it: play_btn and pause_btn, which live in different places on the MovieClip's timeline. That all works fine, and when I press the play/pause button for the first time, my music plays as expected.
However, when I press it again to pause, it keeps right on playing. If I push it again, the button gets all glitchy, and doesn't go into its rollover state when it should nor toggle when clicked.
Here's my ActionScript:
Code: // load the playlist var getFile:URLLoader = new URLLoader(new URLRequest('songs.xml')); var numSongs:int = 0; // number of songs in playlist -- we'll set this later
I am trying to close on as I am attempting to get this incorporated into my website. It came with the recommendation to try the CS5 today to see if this will meet the requirement at the moment. There is a desire to take custom SWF files (I think there is something called Swish files too?) from various sponsors for advertisement purposes and place them on my website. The implementation was straight-forward to make them work through the webserver.I tried a custom example of making a button that upon mouse click would open up a new webpage in CS5 which did work for me.My problem is since the SWF files are finalized, there is no way to put URL information into those files. After doing a lot of searching around today, it appears that the best way to redirect a user upon click of a video is to:
1) Open up a new Flash 2) Import the SWF video file into the project 3) Create a Invisible Button over top the SWF video so when the user clicks, they are redirected to a specific URL.
But for some reason, when I tried to overlay it with a sample SWF file I imported, there was all this flickering going on to where both were made transparent to one another on the screen not to mention the video wasn't even visible at all.My hope was that the SWF video could be seen clearly while the button remained invisbile to handle the click on the video. Is there someone on the forum that is able to guide me fairly quickly with a fast-path procedure so that I can try this?
I am using Google's Audio player to play an MP3 on a webpage. My issue is that I am overlaying an image on top of the the play/pause button. Yet when the image is clicked nothing happens. Here is the code:
That did not work. One thing I noticed is if I have visibility:hidden; the flash player will not respoind to any clicks regardless of what is over it. With that said I attempted to overlay the image using <input> without the visibility:hidden; and it still did not work.
I need to get this fixed if at all possible. I am willing to use another flash player that is similar as long as it works correctly and will use an mp3 like above.
It seems simple enough, and I'm half way there ( I can get external movies to load ) however the transparent button is over my head ( read: I'm a complete noob ).[code]...
I've tried hardcoding a url into getURL as well but it doesnt' seem to be recognizing that there's even a button there.. is that because there's a new movie being loaded?
URL...How and where and what do I add to make the movies unload before only the movie corresponding to the button clicked loads up and doesn't overlay?I'm having trouble with the level and all that URL...
I have two mp4 video files on webserver, i wanted to play them in flash player(flv player) on my asp.net page, but i couldn't be able to play them, i also tried to play them in quick time player the same prob occured. but i waz giving the accurate path, there were no spaces in mp4 file names etc. Does it need to have mp4 player(or codec etc) installed on webserver?
I have also some wmv files on that server , and i am playing perfectly using silver light player, and media player object on my website.
I'm building a photogallery base on this tutorial http:[url]....I'm trying to add a play button, so the gallery would play the pictures onRelease of the button at interval of 3s.It's not working. my code is:
I would like to build a menu in flash as3 an put it on my site, but when I scroll on the site the flash menu should scroll down and stay at the top of the screen... i other words a static menu...a little bit like this... just with swf under this menu...second i would like to know how to communicate between the the button in the menu and the behindswf(scrollable).I dont know if it should be two swf or you can do it in one swf... maybe one swf with a specific layer with always would be on the top...?
I am trying to make a swf with one FLV playback player and 6 buttons. I've got 6 different videofiles that I want to have linked to this swf. Some of the videos are quit large. When starting the Swf, the first video has to start, after playing it, it has to stop. Then you must be able to choose which video to play by clicking one of the buttons. I don't want to have small thumbnails of the video, just plain and simple buttons.I have to have all my files, both fla, swf and xml files in the same directory (I cannot have them stored in different folders, since I have to upload this to a cms system which has limited upload properties).
I've tried to find the right script on the internet, I'm not very good at scripting myselve, actually rather poor educated there. It seems to me that I have to make an xml file with a list of all my videos, I have my default swf ready, with a FLVplayback and buttons. Now there's just the coding part....
I have created two buttons for separate audio files. Essentially if you click on the button it will play and stop. This works great! I have also injected a SoundMixer.stopAll(); to ensure if you click between both buttons that it will stop the current audio file to play the next one. My problem is when I select the 2nd button for the first time everything seems to be working...it's when I attempt to click on the first button again, that it will require 2 clicks and then it stops and plays accordingly...anyone know how I could eliminate this annoying two click process?
I have five different scenes all including three different buttons. When I test the buttons in "play scene" - all buttons sounds correctly in all scenes. But when I play movie, there is sound only with one button (the same button in every scene). I have looked for differences, but this button seem to have all the same parameters as the others.
I am completely new to this with flash and action script. I checked the Flash MP3 Player tutorial and I wonder how I'm doing a previous button and a volume scrolling button in action script?
I'm trying to create a simple "universal" media player which presents the same user interface (or as similar as possible) for video and audio playback. Unfortunately, FLVPlayback seems not to be able to handle audio files as far as I can tell, so I'm using a Sound and SoundChannel.
My video playback is handled using an FLVPlayback component which is "wired" to standard controls on-the-fly when needed. What I want to do is wire them to the Sound / SoundChannel when I'm playing a sound so that the same UI widgets work in both cases. I'd like to avoid building all my components from scratch because the FLVPlayback component does a lot of nice stuff "for free" but it's starting to look tricky.
The standard PlayPauseButton is a MovieClip with two layers, one containing the Play button (and with the instance name play_mc) and the containing the Pause button (pause_mc). Inside one of these is a movie with some code like this:
i just recently tried to use flash to put a video on it. Where the video should show up is there and the controls are there but i cant get the video to show up and play.
The player is meant to retrieve the mp3 file from the server through the path address that is stored in MySQL. It does this in Explorer but not in Firefox. By the way the swf file of the player and the database is stored on the same server so there should be no problem with that.
