Flash 8.0.0 :: Professional - Why Does The System Keep Requesting Download

Occasionally I listen to online audio from a variety of sources with no problem. ccasionally when I try to do that I get a message (or a button) to download Flash 8.0.0. I have done that several times. Once the app is installed (as far as I know it is), I may then click on that audio file and up comes that same message/button again to d/l Flash 8.0.0. If I try to find Flash on my system, it is somehow not clear to me what I've found.
Let me try right now and see what comes up (I'll summarize): Using Spotlight my "Top Hit" says "Adobe Flash Player Install Manager." When I open that it gives me choices of Quit or Uninstall, but no version number. And if Flash 8 or later is indeed installed, how do I know where it is? (It may indeed be a plug-in somewhere but?) I also have here and there about 6 or 7 Flash-labeled folders. One for example in Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS4/Samples. One more in my Library/Preferences/Macromedia folder (though I use no Macromedia apps). Now let me check my plug-ins for (latest) Safari: There's a Shockwave Flash. There is this: "Verified Download Plugin from file VerifiedDownloadPlugin.plugin, but no further info. I also have Click to Flash 1.5.5.
I'm working at a company which has high security environment.Akamai Download Manager starts to download a trial Flash CS5. However, it stops quickly and downloads nothing (zero byte).I want to download a trial Flash CS5 without Akamai Download Manager!
i Need to make sure that the Flash movie stops requesting the XML file once it has it. when a part of the xml is not defined it keeps requesting the xml file. i need it to cycle through but when something is undefined to stop trying to read the xml for the text or picture. so when i leave the home page open too long it kills the browser memory and crashes it.
via an SWF file, what request type would "http://url-to-my/json.script" receive. It doesn't seem to be a "xmlhttprequest". Is it the same as a request from a browser?
my flash application requests an xml information in a php site.... How would I monitor if my flash application is still requesting a data or not? because sometimes my application stops requesting
trying to located imbedded movie symbols @ an exact location (relative to the root) and the X & Y values differ depending where the higher lvl movie symbol is located.
This has been going on for quite sometime and I've just neverfound any solution. On sites with Flash it asks me to download theplayer. I have the player already, but I download it anyway. Thebox on the Flash site shows that yes, I do have Flash installednow. Then I go back to the site that uses Flash and I'm back to thestart - download Flash Player.I can't understand why if it's on my computer, why the sitekeeps asking me to download it again, yet it shows I do have it onmy computer.I started to use Macromedia Flash 8 Training from the Source,James English, and needed to play Flash in one of the tutorials. what methods and parameters of the urlloader class we have to use to display images in a flash player if possible..also movie should update everytime a new image is added to a database or filethe images can either be in a file system or in a sql database (if possible)does flash comes with an object of this type or we have to create it

my initiall 30 day trial of flash cs4 loaded but would not uninstall after the 30 days. eventually i just erased the folder in fruo worstration.later downloaded cs4 web premium package but setup.exe wouldnt work on it. redownloaded flash cs4 bout setup.exe didnt work. i get the swriling icon for a few seconds then it disappears and nothing happens. i notice it stilll running in the task manager hours later, but doesnt do anything.

I was going to download the trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 but when I got to the download page it wasn't downloading. The "Download now" button was there, but it was unclickable, when I clicked on it it didn't work, plus it was a little dimmer than I remember it was when I downloaded another trial. I'm also using the latest version of Google Chrome and I tried downloading it on IE and Firefox.So, is there any solution to this?

I generate a HTML page with VB.Net which stores several pinks to files. These links are formatted with JavaScript looking like the Windows-Explorer with folders and files. The problem: There are only download links for the files, not for Folders. A folder can contain Subfolders ,a List of Files or a combination of both. So if I want to download a folder, I have to click manually on every file-link. I have not the possibility to insert PHP or another Server-side language. my question now is: Is there a client side way to Download them by click on a Folder? I prefer Javascript but If it isn't possible Flash will be ok also.
How would I set about loading an xml data file inside an AS3 application for iphone? Will there be a cross-domain issue for requesting data files from the device?
developing an e-card system in AC2. The system mainly consists of two flash movies and is supported by PHP scripts and a mysql database for data storage.The first part is the create/edit screen where the users can upload a photo, mask any desired area and apply some simple transformations such as size, rotation, brightness. They can also select a card (an animated flash movie) and preview the animation and finally type a message for the recipient.The other part is the result screen where the finalised card is presented and the user can then email a link to it to other people or grab some code to embed it on another site. I got a textfile who i am reading on a serverside script and passing it as a script to my client side as3 code. The problem is that i am using characters like ä,ö,ü,ß and this isn't well displayed. I tried System.useCodePage but the compiler complains about : 1120: Access of undefined property 'System'. It doesnt matter if I tried this on the first line of the 'Action' in the first scene or in the first line of the first .as file i am loading. (btw i am only working with .as file and not in the timeline). When i am importing flash.System.* the compiler complains he dont know useCodePage.
