I have tried installing and unistalling the Adobe Flash Player several times to get it to work, but it is not helping. It won't work when I am logged into my facebook account.

View 1 RepliesLet me preface this by saying: This is definitely a bug either with latest Adobe Flash Player or the streaming Media Server (in this case Real Helix):In the latest version of the Flash player (10.1.82.76) Code that worked previously in version 10.1.53.64 does not work now. This is basic code to connect to an RTMP server (Real Helix) using Netstream class. NOW the video does not even display and there is no error message . THIS ONLY OCCURS in a BROWSER . Also I am using swfobject to display the flash and I tried with latest version and the old 1.4.1 version.

After hitting next on this animation you can see there appears to be blank areas on the animation. If you mouse over them you will see buttons appear which is their "over state." When I publish the animation and preview it in Adobe Flash CS5.5 all the buttons are visible and work correctly. It is only in the brower (chrome, firefox, safari) with up to date Flash Player that is is not working. This is happening in a number of animations I created originally in CS4 last year, and am updating them as CS5.5 using AS3.

The setup works fine when outside facebook, but as soon as I put the setup in facebook, it stops loading the XML completely.
We have a Flash site that integrates heavily with Facebook. When users sign up we get them to allow a Facebook app that ties into the site. This is done through the AS3 Facebook API library from Adobe. When users have done this, they should then be able to sign up, submitting some personal details and so on. The Flash sends this request to our PHP which then checks to see if the user is actually logged into Facebook, and has allowed our app. The problem we're having is that when a user goes to do this, the PHP facebook library says that the user is not logged in. If we then refresh the page and try signing up again, everything works fine.

View 9 RepliesI'm currently building an application using the Adobe Facebook API and I've run into an issue where for the login method the Facebook login popup displays but when doing a Facebook share/post the popup is blocked.
This code works fine and displays me a Facebook login popup without question (Firefox):

However, the following code running in the same application throws up a popup blocker (again Firefox):

Does anyone know of a work around this issue to make the share popup come up just like the login popup?

I can particularly notice it when moving the mouse around (even on a tiny area of the screen), if I don't move the mouse then the slowdown doesn't seem to happen. Maybe its because its sending all events to facebook too?

I hate CS5, so I'm trying to stick with CS3. However, I'm doing a Facebook app, and I need to use the GraphAPI, which is a swc file. So far, I cannot figure out how to use the swc file with Flash CS3 Professional. CS5 has a "browse to swc file" option in "Publish Settings". CS3 does not - only "browse to folder". Is this even possible in CS3, or is my only option to switch over to CS5? (Again, I'm talking about Flash Professional, not Flash Builder.)

The swf has to connect to a SmartFoxPro socket server on another domain.I'm using the Facebook Actionscript API to interface with Facebook. (Should I use PHP, instead? I read an article that recommends using PHP, because the Actionsrcipt API may not be kept up to date.) When I fire up my app, I get a "Security Information" pop-up box saying that the page contains both secure and nonsecure items. I click "yes" to all the display of the nonsecure items.
Then, I get an "XD Proxy blah-blah-blah" popup. This pop-up goes away, and then my app logs in to my SmartFox server.So... What is this "XD Proxy" window? I think it looks unprofessional, and users may think there's an error with the app. Also, can I block or hide the "Security Information" pop-up? Why don't I see this in other FB apps?

I am using Adobe Air to get data from SalesForce, and present it in a datagrid. I am using a query to get the data, and then put it into an arraycollection that is bound to the datagrid, this works correctly and the data is displayed. The problem is that I want to convert the Account Id in the Event to show the account Name. To do this I am using the following code:-

This works and displays the Account Name, the problem is that when I use this script and then Sync Changes to SalesForce all the records that have been displayed are identified as needing to be syncronised even if they have only been displayed. If I skip the function eventQueryHandler, and link my query to the OnQueryResult function then there is no problem, but only the Account Id can be displayed. How can I stop Air marking these records as having changed, or is there a better way to achieve this?
I'm trying to determine the practical difference between using the com.facebook.session.WebSession and com.facebook.session.JSSession. The documentation ([URL]) has more around WebSession - but the example I have which is closest to what solution I'm trying to implement uses JSSession and it looks like I could avoid all of the JavaScript pass-through & ExternalInterface calls I'm making. It appears that the benefit of using this new ActionScript Facebook API is to avoid having to make all of the Facebook calls via JavaScript.
