Flash :: Stop AWS Adobe Media Server Instance?

The only options in my AWS Mananagement Council are to reboot and termiante. If I understand this correctly, if I terminate, I lose all my setup instructions and would have to pay the $5 one-time fee once I restart. Is this correct?How can I setup my instance so I can stop it? I've looked at the support page and it says that I need to have my instance backed up with EBS rather than S3. These instructions are not too clear, because I thought a 8gb EBS is included when you initialize FMS. Here is the support page:[URL]..

I am working on streaming programs through "Adobe flash Media Live encoder" in my website.The steps that i done for streaming is
* Installed Adobe flash media live encoder
* In the FMS URL entered as " rtmp://myserver ip/live "
* In stream given as "livestream"
* when i click connect the follwing error is displaying " Invalid primary FMSURL "
The website i am going to implement is [url]... which is done using PHP. Is there anything i have to do in coding to connect the media server.

I would like to ask if Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server (not Interactive) supports the following Stream.play (server-side streaming), but not necessarily server-side playlists which I know is a FMIS featureunsigned server-side asctionscripts (main.asc) The difference is in the price of course, one is $1000, the other is $5000, so if the two above are supported, I will buy FMSS

I evaluated the Flash Media Server 3.5 by running samples for .flv,f4v,.mpg,.avi video formats and the product looks excellent to work as a Video Streaming Server - Live Video, Recorded Video Viewing by Audiences.
Query : ELearning Course modules are designed and developed using Macromedia Flash and Action Scripting Language.The Output Formats of the LMS are .swf files.As Elearning courses - LMS offer/involves User Interaction (Viewing courses by Students, Giving Exams for obtaining certification etc).Can we also use the Flash Media Server 3.5 for integrating with LMS Site running in IIS 6.0/7.0 ?

I am thinking about making a web site that streams HD movies and videos that I have created myself. I was wonder could you use Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 to do so I know i would have to buy a dedicated server and a fast one with a good load of bandwidth. The big question am asking is that can you base a website or content management system around the interactive server.

But today, when I enter a url like [URL] in my browser (not in ie 8, just in firefox and chrome) it redirects to [URL] and open a page like below: I uninstalled flash media server, but it is not a solution.

I want to make sure that only authenticated users are publishing streams to my Adobe Flash Media Server.
Ideally I would like to limit the IPs which are allowed to publish streams to the server.
I read about the Adobe Authentication Plugin, but apparently it is broken since it works only for Adobe Flash Media Live Enconder. It doesn't secure the server for other encoders that publish streams.

I have Adobe Flash Media Server 3.01 installed on my server. I can record files via user's webcam and convert them to .flv with spesific compression sizes. But i want my users my users to upload an .avi, .mpeg / .mpg, .mov etc file via an http form and after upload finishes i want fms to convert file to flv.
It can be done with the ffmpeg tool free but i wonder if interactive server has a feature like this.

I'm getting this error with one chat application. According to

..I should "Check the JavaScript runtime size for this application in the configuration file". By default it was set to 1024. Any attempt to increase it causes FMS not to start again. This problem just came out of the blue. This same chat app has been in operation with no trouble for about 10 months. I restart the server machine on which it resides before each new chat session.

We're on the way to buy a 1 CPU license for FMES4 and I'm looking if anyone can provide real world benchmarks. We will use a Intel X5680 CPU with dual Port 10Ge NIC and we're wondering how much concurrent p2p RTMFP Session the server will be able to handle.
If a p2p RTMFP Session can not be created we want fallback to another server instance with the cheaper FMIS4 on it, is this the right way to handle this?

I am using osmf1.0 and am trying to connect to a server to do multibitratestreaming from a level3 FMS instance 3.5. The protocols osmf are rtmpe and rtmpte with 3 different ports 1935,443,80. All in all creating 6 different connections. It then goes and tries to connect to either of these connections asynchoneously (50ms separation between each attempt) which means a later attempt can succeed before an earlier one. The device I am using is an htc mobile running on android (user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16).The problem Typically, all attempts will fail (NetConnection.Connect.Failed) but occationally one does succeed but only over rtmpte but no specific port.In contrast, with Akamai it does work every single time.

I have started a stream from Flash media encoder to flash media server. According to my encoder, it should be located at: "rtmp://localhost/live" and is called livestream.In the Flash software I try and set the source of FLVPlayback component to rtmp://localhost/live/livestream", and I get this error: "NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound : Adobe Flash tried to play a live or recorded stream that does not exist. Source can't be found.". Both the server and encoder is runnind and I am encoding.

Adobe I can find instructions and a list of needed for modifying Apache to work with HLS for Apple/IOS devices. However I cannot use .dll on Linux but I can possibly use the .so files .... so can you verify that FMS 4.5 HLS for Apple/IOS devices works on Linux by installing just the 3 .so files below? If it is in short why don't i need the .dll? I don't spend days trying to install FMS 4.5 in a way that is not documented or tested by you. Also is installing FMS 4.5 and HLS for Adobe/IOS devices possible on IIS? Where do i get instructions for IIS?

We are streaming live events encoding using H.264, so therefore we have to save the file as a .f4v. However, whenever I try to play the file, I keep getting a "playback failed" in Adobe Media Player. What could I be missing? Is there anything else I need to do in Flash Media Live Encoder?

Is it possible to install Flash Media Server 3.5 on the same Windows machine where Adobe Connect Pro is installed?If so, how to do it?When I try to do it, it says there is already an istance of FMS running and it asks for uninstalling it.Of course there is not any FMS installed. I want both on the machine.I suspect Adobe Connect uses an engine of FMS to work properly.
