Flash CS4 Pro I created a Flash video, which when previewing locally works fine, but then I upload the files to the webserver, then nothing is displayed, I only see a white area where the Flash video should have been (no broken image icon, see the attached jpg file, it shown an white area where the video is suppose to appear).

I've finally finished my flash xml gallery, and have tested it to my complete satisfaction using dreamweaver. When I do a preview from dreamweaver, or just open up the gallery html file from explorer the swf loads the xml file and all the images flawlessly, everything works. However when I move the site for testing on my mac laptop it loads the xml file but not the images. When I upload it to my test website it doesn't even load the xml file. I just copied the root folder over in all cases I dont understand why it wont work. You can see it here: [URL]
Could this be some export setting I am using incorrectly? Why would it work locally on a windows machine, and not locally on a mac or online on either. I tried re exporting the swf after saving it as CS3 from CS4 and changing the local playback security to only allow network. So now it loads the xml data online but not locally. Thumbnails still aren't showing up online though.
My Flash file works fine on local file, but when loaded to hosting site, nothing shows. Zilch. Not had this problem before, but I've not tried with this hosting service before, which is GoDaddy. Could that be the problem? Or is there something wrong with my coding? And one loads an external video player(swf), and the other loads the external accordion menu (swf) of the site. I test it offline and it works perfect. But when i test it online (hosted) its not loading the accordian menu.

I am using Papervision2 great white. I am also using imported 3D objects from maya exported as collada files. Now working in flash everything shows up fine and dandy, no problems. However when I upload it (every file actually, I never move anything just in case) the avatar im using, a van, doesnt show up at all. The other DAE files do because they arent using any textures. The van has a UV texture applied to it, so I'm assuming that's what screwing it up. I am working inside flash. I'm not using any external AS files.

I'm running into a very strange issue when testing an application I'm building online: loaded images aren't showing.When testing locally everything works fine.I'm retrieving the images from an Adobe Scene7 server, and there's a crossdomain.xml in place there with the correct entries. I'm getting the right bytesLoaded and bytesTotal. I'm not getting an IOError Event.What could be wrong?

View 3 RepliesCurrently I cannot get my flash file to show up on one section of my webpage in firefox, but it loads fine in all other browsers. This is the second flash file that I have added and the first one works perfectly fine. The website files are all .php and is driven by templates.
I have wmode set to opaque as before and haven't used any different publishing .smv settings. However to have it show up I have to change the php file for the webpage and add a "/" to the <param name="movie" value="/new.swf" /> line before the movie file name. The file is placed in the directory.
The tricky thing is that in the other movie I didn't have to place this / sign and it works in all browsers. I have republished and republished and can't get anything to work.[url]...
I have created a Flash Video in Flash 8 and published and picked up in Dreamweaver 8. Published files were sample.swf, sample.html and SteelExternalAll.swf (skin). Publish settings were: Format - Flash SWF and HTML; default Flash settings with local playback security set to access local files only; default HTML settings.
In Dreamweaver, sample.html is accessed via an iframe in test.php. In Preview mode, everything is as it should be with the Video showing. The problem is, when I upload all the files to the Server, the video is not displayed including the skin. Instead, all I get is the border of the iframe with a red rectangle showing where the video should be.

I have tried it in isolation here and it works fine, but something is messing it up on the destination page.

I've been using the "Reusable Preloader Using MovieClipLoader" from the tutorial section of this site.The only difference is that i don't use'm for preloading jpg. I load external swf files containing video. Everything works fine so far. The only problem is that the preloaded video already starts playing while preloading (at about 30%), but without showing the video.This is the code i have so far:

I'm searching a solution to play a HTML 5 Video and show different images (or similar) on various points (e.g. min 2:15) in the video.
Is this even possible or I should rather use Flash?
use Flash's StageVideo object through the example ActionScript file in this page [URL] the problem is it's just showing up a black screen (no video) for live streams which are not using the H264 codec?and also it is not even throwing up a StageVideoEvent.RENDER_STATE event to say that it cannot play the stream. Actually it can seem to play the stream because I can hear audio but it is just unable to show up any video, anybody encountered this scenario before?Someone commented on some other sites to check if the "Enable Hardware Acceleration" in the Flash settings is checked, and I can confirm that it is checked, again this is only happening whenever I'm viewing a non-H264 stream
View 1 RepliesIn Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (WinXP/Flash 10), if I play my videos using the JW Player in the slider they work. However if I move to the next slide and then return to the original slide the video is no longer displayed - the audio is still audible and the video can be played and paused, but there is no image.

I have noticed that mi screensaver doesn't start while I'm watching videos on YouTube.I'm using Windows 7.This is the test:Set Windows screensaver to 1 minute.Browse to YouTube and play a video longer than 1 minute; ideally much longer.Note that your screensaver doesn't come up after the specified time (1 minute).I've tested using Firefox, Chrome and IE8. My Flash Player version is 10.3. (Youtube is using flash to play the videos). The same happens whether I watch the video in full-screen or not.
View 2 RepliesI'm developing a web app based on videos that my client would like to upload using an online resource such as YouTube or Vimeo. Since YouTube has a 15 mn restriction length on the videos one can upload, my client has decided to use Vimeo instead, but Moogaloop(!) the Vimeo AS3 API is fairly restrictive and only offers a handful of methods to control the video.
What would be your best AS3 API for an online video sharing site? By best , I mean one that allows as much control as possible over the site's player features. I need to be able to listen to events , control the fullscreen capability , enable/disable some specific features such as a "embed" or "share" button.
I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:

you can see it stay white at the beginning....it should be a FLVPlayback component.
I'm a new Flash user, trying to build a fairly intricate website by newbie standards. I have a basic understanding of Actionscript and OOP, enough to build a fairly nice looking full-featured website. Most of my goals for the website have been met, including dynamic XML content, a dynamic navigation menu, dynamic screenshot galleries.My current nemesis is a flash video gallery. I'm using xml lists of video locations (different types of video, including flv, wmv, and avi), and I've tried both the stock CS4 video player component (FLVPlayback) and the ubiquitous ToobPlayer 1.0.
Here's the problem. When I compile the video and view it offline, with either player component, it works beautifully! Loads each video from the XML gallery and performs as requested. When I upload it to an FTP and run the website (in an html file) as an http:// link, the video player component is no longer visible and nothing playsIt's driving me ape! Do I need to include some .as files when I upload or something?
I used a fantastic XML video tutorial from this site -http:[url]...in a school project here - http:[url].....When I test the site on my local machine everything works fine,but, when I upload it to a web server , clicking on the thumbnails to change the video does not work - except for the first page of videos.
View 1 RepliesI am running Windows 7/64 and Master Collection. I've created a clip of DV NTSC footage to test F4V publishing. Done this many times with CS3 and flv files but this has me stumped. I can successfully view the video and web page locally in IE and Netscape but on upload to my server I have the menu and placement right but no video appears. I created the clip in Premiere Pro CS5 and exported to F4V/FLV best quality. Opened an Actionscript Media DV NTSC template in Flash Pro CS5 and imported the video which I had pre-placed in my root web folder locally. I then exported the swf and saved the fla. All files were then in my root folder and the scrpts in the scripts folder. In Live View in Dreamweaver CS5 all looked fine. In each browser locally the video played as expected. Once all files were uploaded the video was not visible.

I have a flash video that don't show up.
Here are my steps...
1. Create new page and chose Flash File (ActionScript 3.0)
2. Imported mp4 video to stage
3. Selected Load External Video with playback component
4. Then File/Export Export Movie then File Publish Preview/HTML
.swf or html showing video on source machine but on another machine (All files copied into one folder) I do not see it.
This other machine is using Firefox 3.5.6 which has Flash Player 10.0.42.34 installed. It doesn't matter if I click on the .swf or html I still see no video. Only player control and some sorta working animation.
I have tried several ways to import a movie and create a web banner. I created a project in After Effects and exported as both an flv and an f4v. I imported to Flash with no skin and set the project to the same size as the content. When I test the scene, everything is fine. When I do a publish preview, all is well. If I view the published html file on teh computer I created it on, that works. If I try it from another machine on my network, or send the directory with all the files to others, it shows nothing - just a blank page with the flash object there, but no movie.
