ActionScript 3.0 :: DAE File Not Showing Up Online?
Jul 19, 2009
I am using Papervision2 great white. I am also using imported 3D objects from maya exported as collada files. Now working in flash everything shows up fine and dandy, no problems. However when I upload it (every file actually, I never move anything just in case) the avatar im using, a van, doesnt show up at all. The other DAE files do because they arent using any textures. The van has a UV texture applied to it, so I'm assuming that's what screwing it up. I am working inside flash. I'm not using any external AS files.
var daeFile: DAE;
daeFile=new DAE;
daeFile.load("van2.dae");
var universe: DisplayObject3D;
Flash CS4 Pro I created a Flash video, which when previewing locally works fine, but then I upload the files to the webserver, then nothing is displayed, I only see a white area where the Flash video should have been (no broken image icon, see the attached jpg file, it shown an white area where the video is suppose to appear).
I'm creating a website for somebody, and it works perfect offline, i have two empty movie clips on the main site. And one loads an external video player(swf), and the other loads the external accordion menu (swf) of the site. I test it offline and it works perfect. But when i test it online (hosted) its not loading the accordian menu.
I am going mental with this one. I have a dynamic text field on one layer, and action layer on top of that. Render text as html on, and needed characters embedded.
Code: System.useCodepage = true; var format = new TextField.StyleSheet();
I'm running into a very strange issue when testing an application I'm building online: loaded images aren't showing.When testing locally everything works fine.I'm retrieving the images from an Adobe Scene7 server, and there's a crossdomain.xml in place there with the correct entries. I'm getting the right bytesLoaded and bytesTotal. I'm not getting an IOError Event.What could be wrong?
Here's a piece of the offending code: (I replaced Event.COMPLETE with Event.INIT, hoping it might make a difference, but it doesn't) [AS]loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.IN IT, onImageComplete);
I've finally finished my flash xml gallery, and have tested it to my complete satisfaction using dreamweaver. When I do a preview from dreamweaver, or just open up the gallery html file from explorer the swf loads the xml file and all the images flawlessly, everything works. However when I move the site for testing on my mac laptop it loads the xml file but not the images. When I upload it to my test website it doesn't even load the xml file. I just copied the root folder over in all cases I dont understand why it wont work. You can see it here: [URL]
Could this be some export setting I am using incorrectly? Why would it work locally on a windows machine, and not locally on a mac or online on either. I tried re exporting the swf after saving it as CS3 from CS4 and changing the local playback security to only allow network. So now it loads the xml data online but not locally. Thumbnails still aren't showing up online though.
My Flash file works fine on local file, but when loaded to hosting site, nothing shows. Zilch. Not had this problem before, but I've not tried with this hosting service before, which is GoDaddy. Could that be the problem? Or is there something wrong with my coding? Here's the URL: [URL] The Flash is 1020 px wide, 350 px high, and its supposed to be right under the spry menu (which isn't working either for some reason! No drop and wrong color for rollover!).
I have developed a simple chat room but how do I go about showing who is online and what happen if the user close the web browser without disconnect, will the user name in the online list be remove immediately? I use mx.messaging.channels.StreamingAMFChannel and set <subscription-timeout-minutes>3</subscription-timeout-minutes>
I have an FLV file but need to generate an SWF to then upload onto the internet (with a play/stop bar)
I have no idea how to do this. Is there a step by step I can access or can someone point me tell me where and what to do!!!! I have CS4
I understand that I need to have all the files in the same folder and then link them all in. I will be uploading onto the website (back of house html) is there a basic code that i can modify that will suit my needs?
I have a problem where i cant get swf files to play online. I can get other swf file to work on my website but not the ones i am making. how i make an swf file able to play online.
I have a site that contains some videos that made by graphic designer , he also edit them now and then and add videos. I want to add text to the video that after X seconds at the bottom of the video that will show some text. For example: "Hosted by XXX". I cannot ask this from the designer because the text changes once a month and he will charge me for that work every time. This videos are in swf (flash) format. I need to do it online - while the page loaded or even asynchronously. My site it wrote in asp.net so this must be done(if it can) by asp.net or javascript.
Swf generated by class (shown below) brings in the noponies as3 accordion which all works ok locally. But when I put it online nothing is shown. I think it's something to do with the xml files but not too sure.[code]
I'm new to the community, and have decided to make an account because I'm probably going to be asking a few questions about the project I am currently working on. I am probably biting off more than I can chew with this, but I need something to work on, to keep myself occupied.
The first bump in the road that I came across, and I have searched far and wide for help with this, but had no luck finding anything for AS3.
I want to make an app that saves variables to a server, and then it able to load those variables, the next time it runs.
I have placed a FLV file in to my flash document, when I test it it plays fine, but when it upload it online the skin doesnt show up and I cant control the video.
What is the best free resource to use for the purpose of letting users view files (pdf) online without any option for them to download those files in any way? Flexpaper could be a solution but it is said here that:
Natively, FlexPaper does not protect PDFs from being printed or copied. It actually lacks options for doing so on the JavaScript front-end.However in its Commercial License (to take the branding off for 1 domain) contains a ReadOnly parameter to disable printing & copying.
I have a client who wants some graphics to appear "coming onto the screen from the sides." They are flames, to be exact. She does not want them to just come in inside the "box" (stage). She wants them to appear coming in from the sides of the browser window. Is there a way to do this? That is, can you make graphics or movie clips that start off outside of the frame appear in the browser when the swf file is saved?
I have a very rudimentary Flash movie that I have created. Link here to a copy of the SWF file on my company's website:The movie appears to work all right in IE, but not in Firefox or Google Chrome.Here are the details:It's a leaderboard ad, and like I said, it's pretty basic. I have a simple motion tween, and then an incredibly looooooong series of nested movie clips that create the effect of a counter (like a rapidly rising jackpot).I'm not really hip with the intricacies of ActionScript, so I couldn't code something more elegant. The "counter" is supposed to represent an increasing amount of money that not using our services might cost a company.
Ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, and ten thousands use a simple repeating movie clip. hundred thousands use one that is 10x as long, and so on. I had to stop at 1 millions, as the # of frames in between numbers was prohibitively long.i.e. there are 10 frames in between numbers for the hundred thousands place in the movie, 100 frames for millions, and 1,000 frames for millions.but, like I said, I'm a beginner at ActionScript.Thinking the problem might be due to the incredibly long movie clips, I removed the animations from some of the higher numbers from my movie, and this did not appear to affect whether it plays in Firefox or Chrome.
iv been having this problem with swf file iv created, it consist of images somewhat like a gallery. when played offline it works smoothly, navigating frame to frame / image by image. iv used AS3 to compose the animations in my flash file. now my problem is when its uploaded online, the swf is shown but once iv clicked on a link to proceed on showing the gallery it lags and continously loop when it should actualy stop on a frame and wait till the next button is clicked to procced to the next image. plus the animation iv added in doesn't seem to working at all.
i'm trying to access an aspx file which is online. it's suppose to give me an xml data that i will parse and display inside of flash... the wierd thing is this: using any variation of code (using xml, or loadvars) the file loads the xml file and works great from WITHIN the flash authoring environment (when using "test movie") BUT it doesn't work when i run the swf file from its local directory (explorer) or from within a browser. what and why is this?
I am looking for a way to store data I would want from a flash game of mine. I could just manipulate a highscore table but i was looking for the specific function to maybe try and create my own.
I'm using LoadVars to load variable data into flash from a .txt file.Pretty simple - when uploaded onto a server, I can see the data loaded but no one else can, not even other accounts on my computer!Could this be a CHMOD permission problem? Could this a problem with my AS? A problem with directories? A problem with URLs?Anybody have a good method that simply loads vars from a .txt file and can also do it online?
I am totally new to actionscript (barely could set up the IDE environment for Linux). I have trouble parsing an xml file containing some namespaces. All the tutorials and samples i found online are not working for me. the file looks like this:
When swf file shows up on a computer as an unknown file, does that mean the computer doesn't have flash player? Or do I need to change my publish settings?
I have bought a chat package, and over 9 months i am running into the problem hat it is gooing slow with more users online. So i decided to install the "flash debug player 10" and check what exacly is happening. Within 2 minutes the flashlog.txt (error log of debug player) was 195KB I will now paste the error messages that are dumped into flashlog.txt tha occur the most and i think it seems as if the error message comes from a loop, because there are so many of these warnings:
