But since, FBML is going to be deprecated, I want to use iFrame. Is there any way to pass those variable automatically or do I have to retrieve them in PHP and pass it to flash through loadvars?Also, if I have to do it manually, is there any documentation for the php sdk 2.1 ? (already searched about it a lot, and I think there is no doc nor tutorial for 2.1)

Aug 31, 2011In the cosmicpanda update for youtube, you can go from a video page to the video creators profile page while your video is still playing in flash. Does anyone how Youtube accomplishes this? I would like to know if it's possible to keep the flash state of a site constant while moving from page to page on a site.It doesn't seem as if the flash is reloading, so I don't think that they are just saving cookies for the current video time and starting the video at that point when they refresh.I would assume that they're using ajax, but the application of this feature is really clean. The URL gets correctly changed to the users' profile page's URL. The back button still works as it should. (I can press back and forward between video page and user profile page and the video continues going clean and never drops.)

Oct 27, 2009I have a menu with 5 selectable items. I would like to add a 6th. This is a side menu and they are stacked on top of each other.I would like to know how to highlight the current menu selection using flashvars and this page is html. Like I said I have searched but nothing is making sense and no one has offered to help as yet.Sometimes when I am browsing that site the flash menu up the top doesn't display, but hitting F5 brings it right up. There is a go to and play the last frame action in there. Could that be causing it? I have uploaded the file as well if anyone wants to have a look at that.Maybe someone can explain this to me Link to possible resolution. Flash :: Video Not Appearing In PCs
Feb 1, 2011I created a simple flash music player to put on a website. It is viewable in Safari, FireFox and Chrome on my Mac. Unfortunately, when I try viewing it in two browsers on a PC (Chrome and FireFox), it doesn't appear at all. The PC computer does have the most updated version of flash as well. Also, when I try to view the html document created from Flash on the PC computer, my flash player does not show up either.

Mar 6, 2011Flash content should have wmode set to opaque. In my case, part of the JQuery dialog is above and part is below. Obviously it's possible for stuff to appear on top of the flash video (because part already is), but I don't know why most of it appears under the Flash.

Video framesize is very small compared to the stage size. When i tried to add video and resize the video acoording to the page size , it slows the browser. I tried to embed the flv inside an swf and loaded the swf using normal loader and plyed it.. but the quallity and performance comapred to these site is very low..

Oct 24, 2010I'm currently building an application using the Adobe Facebook API and I've run into an issue where for the login method the Facebook login popup displays but when doing a Facebook share/post the popup is blocked.
This code works fine and displays me a Facebook login popup without question (Firefox):

Facebook.login( onFacebookLogin, { perms:permissions.join(',') } );
However, the following code running in the same application throws up a popup blocker (again Firefox):
Facebook.ui( "stream.publish", "popup", params );
Does anyone know of a work around this issue to make the share popup come up just like the login popup?

Oct 11, 2011I have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.

May 26, 2011I've imported a video into Flash and have selected a skin for the video player.When I test on my local machine the video controls (skin) display and function as they should.But when I load the upload the .flv to the server, then re-import into Flash and select video deployed on server, publish, upload to server and and test the movie, the video plays fine but the video controllers are not appearing.I am using the html that Flash(CS5) created in the Publish Settings. I've different player skins with the same result.I've tried importing both .flv and .f4v's with the same result.
