I have created a Flsh video which when previewing inside Flash CS4 works great, but nothing is displayed on the webpage. This is the markup I put inside my .aspx page:

what is wrong to this code?
header('Content-type: application/x-shockwave-flash');
$video_id = $_REQUEST['id'];
$content = readfile("http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=$video_id");
echo $content;
Why this code is not working? How should look the code? i've edited like this:
header('Content-type: application/x-shockwave-flash');
$video_id = $_REQUEST['id'];
$content = readfile("http://www.youtube.com/v/$video_id");
echo $content;
and if i get http:[url]...in browser it works but if i add it in jwplayer it doesn't work?
I created a simple video and I tried attaching a mouse click event to it but the event doesnt fire. Here is my code:

var stream:NetStream;
var video:Video;

why wont the mouse event work?
I am trying to load a .swf using loadMovie(). The .swf has a Flash video on it. All I get is a flashing FLV icon. Is it because my original file is Actionscript 2 and the swf I'm trying to load is Flash 3? Or what?
View 1 RepliesHowever one problem I have encountered is the only way I can make the buttons appear after the video is finished, is by dragging out the single frame of video on the timeline to whatever length in seconds it is multiplied by the number of frames per second.
Is there some way to maintain each linked clip in a single frame and only move to the next frame (which contains the relative buttons) after the video is finished?
I am trying to embed a facebook video on my website but it gives "Video Unavailable. this video has either has been removed from facebook or is not visible".video is public to everyone, is not deleted and I can watch it on facebook via other browsers that I am not logged in. I tried both below embed codes, neither is worked.
<object width="500" height="300">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/VIDEO_ID"></param>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>[code].....
When I import a video to my Adobe Flash CS4 and choose to add a full screen button the full screen button does not work. I choose the "Load external video with playback component" import setting and import my flv. The volume, pause and play all work but not the full screen button. The full screen button works when I open the file in my flash player on my pc.

I have this streaming video player with an asyncErrorHandler function which isn't working correctly.In Flash player 10 I get no errors, but in Flash player 9 I'll get a popup window with the error message that shows up in my output window when I test on my local machine.
Error #2044: Unhandled AsyncErrorEvent:. text=Error #2095: flash.net.NetConnection was unable to invoke callback onBWDone. error=ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property onBWDone not found on src.display.VideoClass and there is no default value.
I feel that I have my AsyncErrorEvent setup correctly however, but am unsure as to why I still get a massive error in my output window, here is the popup window and code below:My statusEventHandler function
// ☼ --- Handle Status and Errors
function statusEventHandler(event:NetStatusEvent):void {
trace("connected is: "+ncConnection.connected);
trace("event.info.level: "+event.info.level);

Recently i have visited so many video enriched flash site like this one [URL] Most of them shows video in full size. I downloaded the video using FF plugin. Video framesize is very small compared to the stage size. When i tried to add video and resize the video acoording to the page size , it slows the browser. I tried to embed the flv inside an swf and loaded the swf using normal loader and plyed it.. but the quallity and performance comapred to these site is very low..

I am having trouble getting a relative path to my video to work.It plays when I link to the video on the server or when I use the absolute path from my hard drive but I need this to play on someone els's computer so looking to enter a realtive path but then the video fails. I am using AS3 CS4. I used to do this using AS2 CS3 so something must have changed.
View 3 RepliesThis is driving me nuts folks. I've imported a video clip to my stage, added a skin for stop, play, pause etc. I test the Flash file using Control --> Test Movie and everything appears exactly as I want it to.
The problem is that when I upload the files to my server the embedded video clip does not appear, nor does the skin. Just a blank space
Am a novice so not completely sure if i am doing things rite! I have a video in my time line onto which I would like to place a button/watermark reading "click here" with a click-through URL. This needs to be visible always whilst the video is playing. To do this i have created a button on the video, created a new actionscript layer and put the following code:
[Code]...
I have the FLVPlayback component on the stage. This is the only code I have in this file:
ActionScript Code:
import fl.video.VideoEvent;
vidPlayer.addEventListener(VideoEvent.PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED, showVideo);
[Code].....
I have tried to make simple buttons to control play, stop, paus and play again of a video.When that did not work I found the below instructions, and made movieclips for the buttons to use with the imported FLVPlayback (with none skin).In step 2 I choose play (for the first play-button/movieclip).In step 3, there is no video to choose in the box - only my own movieclips.In step 4 - what's the difference?In step 5 - there is no setting field...Control video playback using behaviorsSelect the movie clip to trigger the behavior.In the Behaviors panel (Window > Behaviors), click the Add (+) button, and select the desired behavior from the Embedded Video submenu.Select the video to control.Select a Relative or Absolute path.If required, select settings for the behavior parameters and click OK.In the Behaviors panel under Event, click On Release (the default event) and select a mouse event.
View 1 RepliesI am making a swf file than can receive function call from c#. Right now, it receives "StartVideo" and starts the video really well without any problem. But, if it receives "PlayVideo" and "PauseVideo", it just restarts the video from the first frame. What did I miss??

I'm making a working scrubber on a video, but having problems. The scrub itself it starting out in the middle of the loadbar. I've looked everywhere, trying to find out what is wrong with it. Here is the code and link to my .fla [URL]

I am developing an app using zinc 3.0, flash, as2 and flash media server.. When I broadcast and receive cam data everything is perfect but when streaming flv video nothing displays. I created a custom player with Linked Video Object which shows the video from stream server. The video works perfect if i run as a swf file. But when embedded inside the zinc exe video not displays in video object except buffering goes as it shows it playing..
View 2 RepliesI'm editing a flash site that needs a multi video player. I've already added a few other features to the site, so know the drill now... This video player just doesn't load the external files to it. I'm doing exactly the same thing I did with the other elements, but this doesn't seem to want to work. I've triple checked the spelling of 'config.xml' and even tried changing the action script settings to frame 2, which just makes all the preloaders spin around!

I'm trying create an expandable banner that when expands plays a video that has play, pause, mute buttons and a seek bar.
I've successfully created the video player and converted it to a symbol and it works when I copy it into other flash files so I know it's the banner that troublesome.
The problem is when I use it in the expanded part of the expandable banner I can't click on any of the buttons. I can see it's working as the video is playing and the seeker bar is moving. It's almost as if there's an invisible button over the top (the hand icon is visible) stopping me from hitting the buttons of the player.
The code for the expanding banner is very simple (see below)
on (rollOver) {
gotoAndStop(2);
}
on (rollOut) {
gotoAndStop(1);
}
I'm building a video chat in flash and everything works really well, except for the part where I'm trying to detect if the other user is sending a working video stream. There's a couple of reasons why the other user isn't sending video.
-The other user got no camera
-The other user got a camera, but the camera is currently being occupied by another application(Skype, Photo Booth, Google Talk, etc.)
-The other user got a camera but hasn't allowed the use of his/hers camera.
(Other unexpected problems I guess...)
So how do I detect if the stream I receive from the other user is a black stream(because of the reasons above) using the NetStream class? The closest thing I have came up with is by adding a timer that polls the currentFps() function from the stream I receive from the other user. But so far this seems pretty unreliable because I might get currentFps() == 0 and show an error because of this even though I actually got video from the stream in some cases. The reason for this is because I poll the API every 4 seconds for the currentFPS function and let's say at 00:00:04 I get "no video" according to the poll but at 00:00:05 the video kicks in, and therefor I need to wait until the next tick until the error message disappears
This is what my current poll looks like
function subscribingStatusPoll(e:TimerEvent):void {
if (subscribingStream.currentFPS == 0){
error.text = "No video found from the other user...
} else {
error.text = "";
}}
This is the only hack I that I can come up with to detect this, but this is unreliable and I actually would prefer a way to instantly detect if the stream I receive got a working video attached to it.
On my stage I have a mc (videoLoader) with the mc (loadBar) inside it. When I preview the movie it shrinks loadBar to where it should, but it doesn't expand as the video loads.
ActionScript Code:
this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, loading);
function loading(e:Event):void[code].........
I have a video complete event that was working wonderfully, when it was part of my main SWF, but now I have pulled it out and have it as an external SWF and is being loaded into the main timeline. Now it does not work.
I now get this error on compiling:
Code:
Symbol 'reconnect_video', Layer 'Actions', Frame 141, Line 61119: Access of possibly undefined property COMPLETE through a reference with static type Class.
The code that is causing the error is as follows:
Code:
import fl.video.VideoEvent;
reconn.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, completeHandlerReconn);
function completeHandlerReconn(event:VideoEvent):void{
[Code].....
This is code is inside off a movieClip called "reconnect_video" which is nested inside of a movieClip called "journal_open". So the parent of this movieClip should still be the same. The "journal_open" movie clip is the one that was removed from the original SWF. (due to size) I am now loading "journal_open" externally, and since then this error has appeared.
Do I have to do something different since this is no longer the main SWF?
I'm using the action script 3 code below to run my main menu buttons, there are 7 in total. The trouble I have is when a video is playing, the user might not stop a video playing before clicking on another main menu button. So the user could go to a different section with video still playing with the audio etc.
// News
content_mc.news_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, link1);
function link1(Event:MouseEvent):void {
content_mc.gotoAndPlay("news");
}
So I thought I'd write an if statement, that asks if video video is playing then stop(). Trouble is can't get one to work.
[code]This is my code that i have inserted into the first frame(?) of the fla file.When I use the swf in a html web page, i can hear the video but I can't see it and play skin cannot control the video.This is also a part of a security token code which i'm implementing on the client-side.
View 14 RepliesCurrently I am working on FLVPlayer using AS3 and FMS3. When I test tthe connection
Traced NetConnection.Connect.Success And I had added eventlistener for NetStream. It also shown NetStream.Play.ResetNetStream.Play.Start But the video is not showing.
I've inported a flv video and embeded it in one of the templates flash has, when i publish it and I go to the video.html file it plays, when i go to the video.html via my website I get the loading type image on the tracker bar. what is wrong? THe files are all linked correctly, it's video.swf as everything is in my "video" folder.
View 4 RepliesI'm having issues with a YouTube video breaking a jQuery slider when viewed on an Apple mobile device. The slider uses a set width & height window that uses the overflow:hidden property. It looks great in all browsers except for Apple devices where all of the slides are visible in a row as if the overflow:hidden property did not take effect.

I'm creating a video player that is linked with XML. Everything seems to work fine with no errors in the compiler, but my foward_btn and back_btn don't seem to do anything. It shows the trace "foward button" and "back button" but does not move to the next or previous video.
Code:
package {
