Flex :: How To Change Location Of HTML Template Folder
Jul 7, 2010
The normal structure is:
project/
bin-debug
html-template
libs
src
I want to change it to:
project/
bin-debug
flash/
html-template
libs
src
I know how to change the libs and src folders, but not html-template. Is it possible?
I placed my AMFPHP folder inside my htmltemplate project folder, but now everytime i build it wants to 'refresh' the folder which takes forever. Is there a way to set it so that folder does not refresh each time? I put the AMFPHP folder in there so I can have a unique copy for my debug builds and leave the production build one alone.
How can I change the location of the src folder? Right now I can just move the src folder from the navigator to some other location, but it's not being referenced as the src folder. (it doesn't have the square-ry icon on the folder icon)?
I have a .net client app that needs to play some content (images, movies, swf files etc) on the client machine. What it does is download the content from a server to the HDD in a folder, and play it. BUT: the SWF file has a need to read RSS from the web, and what i need is the folder where the app content is kept to be added in Trusted Locations (what you regulary do when right click .swf file, go to Global Settings > Advanced tab, and Trusted locations.. button, and specify a folder.
Now, i have searched the web, and there is a place where this is saved: :Documents and Settings\Application DataMacromediaFlash Playermacromedia.comsupportflashplayersyssettings.sol, however, i don't know if this is changeable from another app : eg. when my .net app is installed or started, that it adds the folder to trusted locations, so that the SWF would be able to play RSS from web.
when I compile my action script project in Flash Builder 4 it creates a html wrapper file based on index.template.html in my html-template folder. That file automatically gets the name of my project or main application (project name.html). But usually I want it to have the name index.html
I need to change the default location of VOD media files from opt/adobe/fms/applications/vod/media.what I did:1. Created a dir test under default "media" dir2. Placed my f4v files inside "test" dir3. Modified applications.xml as follows:
I have my server configured so that the installation is on c:, and the media files are on d:.To begin with I tested the streaming files in the original installation location and this worked.I've have now moved the vod folder - D:applications:, and updated the FMS.ini file to accordingly look for the applications folder on the D: and restarted the server. The Administration console is correctly identifying the VOD and LIVE applications in the new location, but all the streams have stopped working
I was reading about Flex- JavaScript communication via ExternalInterface. But I had a doubt, it said that the javascript code should be written in the HTML file of the application ? Now which is this HTML file ? Is it the index.template.html file per project or the HTML file created per MXML application ?

Im a relative novice in Flash and Im used to working in CS3. However, I am trying out CS4 to do a change a template that a client bought. Everything is going smoothly for the most part. However, I am not able to change the tab names on the template that she wants. I expected for the text to be on its own layers as seperate rollovers, but I guess somehow they are nested within the button shapes and I cannot locate them. I've been trying to change them for the past 2 days and I have had no luck thus far.I know you guys are some of the best when it comes to Flash. Here is the working template and what I have done thus far. I was able to change the girl's eye color from blue to dark brown and change the default title that came with the template to the name of her business:
i need to change the automatically generated index.html flex output to admin.anotherExtension. I understand that if i change the index.template.html the changes in html level will be preserve when the file is generated, however i need to change the name of the file also, and the extension.
I am using a web template for a client that contains a flash header. Images and text can be changed with a data.txt file and image replacement. However I also need to change the colors of the button backgrounds and one of the display fields...I have macromedia flash 8, the fla and swf files.
I work in expressions a lot and not in dreamweaver or macromedia 8; I've opened the files in M8, but this is totally over my head right now.
I have the foling template: [URL] But i need to change the foling link: [URL] to another page. So when i click on the link,i need to open a page inside, like page one, or page number two, to have the same fuction like the menus above.
I've pretty much taught myself everything about editing html so far, but this one is loosing me quickly. I've downloaded a html css template, edited out the fat i don't need, so on and so forth, now all I need is a photo gallery. However, I'm not sure how to embed the flash template to get it to run. I'm trying to use a sliding gallery, but can't seem to get it.
I have a website template in which I am trying to change the header text words and menu text words to customize the template. How do I do this in Flash CS4?
I bought a template. xml flash. able to change anything in that. I had trouble, but the gallery section. I met with template-help. did not help. I want my products section of the text when I click on the menu on the left side there are three. I want to get these categories. When I want to come to each of the other galleries. but somehow could not.
When I use mxmlc to compile my mxml file, I get swf file. Now, I want to change the config to make mxmlc compiler generate html file instead, as we can do in Eclipse or Flex Builder.
I am editing my website, a full flash site bought from Template Monsters and it seem there is a problem with screen resolution. When i publish the fla in flash only, it fits the screen exactly with no scroll bar but when i publish in html the flash content is bigger than screen size and menu bar stays outside the screen in the way that i have to scroll down to see menu contents and tabs.In order to make this site more user friendly I have tried to resize the screen to a smaller but seems to be not a good idea. I have also tried to use different .js and includes in order to solve the problem but still not giving the result i am looking for.
I'm currently doing a project that has to be multi-lingual. I need to be able to use Flash Var's to locate the XML file.why the below code does not work?ere is my AS3 code:
var xmlPath:String; xmlPath = root.loaderInfo.parameters(encodeURIComponent["xmlPath"]); Here is my HTML code:
I built a flash file that pulls in an external file. During testing this worked because the html file with the flash and the external file to be pulled in were all in the same directory. Now I have the html file that loads the flash else where. In my flash file I have something like this.Code:xmlData.load("file.xml");What I need to do is to programatically get the directory location of the html page that is loading the flash so I can append it to the above code like so...
Is it possible to have a link in Flash link to a different (named anchor) section of an HTML document? I suspect not but I imagine it may be doable with Javascript.
<a href="#tips">Jump to Tips Section</a>
HTML version of a jump to a named anchor. Question is can you accomplish the same thing from a link in a swf?

If you make multiple flash files from the same template and then edit that template, will all those files have those same changes? If not, is there a way to make the same change on multiple files at once? Basically the same idea as linking HTML files to a single CSS file...
How do you change the home location inside a symbol? The little crosshair that denotes the 0,0 x,y inside a symbol? Yea I know its a noob question, i've tried searching!
How does one change the location that the pics are called from?
The xml path was easy for me because there is a path type that I'm familiar with -- gallery_xml.load("whateverHERE/gallery.xml");-- but I just can't see where to put the path to pics. I saw a path built into the xml file example I used -- <gallery path="whateverHERE/"> -- but that doesn't seem to effect anything. As it stands, the code below requires the pic's to be in the same folder as the .swf.
spacing = 10; bar._visible = false; containerMC._alpha = 0; var pArray = new Array();
