I placed my AMFPHP folder inside my htmltemplate project folder, but now everytime i build it wants to 'refresh' the folder which takes forever. Is there a way to set it so that folder does not refresh each time? I put the AMFPHP folder in there so I can have a unique copy for my debug builds and leave the production build one alone.

I wanna creating a flex application. In that application left, down and right side will be same all pages but on center screen will be changed in order to click event. Is that possible? When i click button on the center screen, center screen will show another MXML (call another MXML but left, right and down side will be same). How can i do that?

View 1 RepliesI have an accordian which contains a repeater. That repeater takes an array as a dataprovider. The array in turn gets data from an XML file, on server, via HTTPService.
Now, data in the XML file gets modified after sometime frequently so I send the HTTPService after every 5 secs by using a Timer.
Problem: When the timer timesout after 5 secs, HttpService is sent, data is retrieved and showed in accordian but each time this happens, the accordian flickers. Thus, the flickering happens every 5 sec which is quite irritating.
Can I somehow remove the flickering to make the accordian update seemlessly? If it's the problem with accodian, will it persist if I use a DataGrid in place of accordian?
When executing dataprovider.refresh() for a chart component it redraws the chart. How do I determine when the chart is redrawn? I would like to take a png screen shot of the chart when it is fully drawn.

View 3 RepliesIn TFS 2010 build, I have a new build and I want to call an ant script that builds Flash. How do I call the ant script? Also How can I compile the Flash directly? I've seen the Power Tools and this question but it doesn't help me as we don't have TFS 2008. I can't find any documentation on how to use the power tools except the 1 sentence on the bottom of download page saying to create your build the old way and import it (which isn't very helpful). I've installed the power tools on the agent computer but I don't see any new options in the Toolbox when I'm designing the build flow.
View 2 RepliesI just started working with ant a few days ago. Right now I have a general buildall.xml which should call each project's build.xml. Because some projects depend on each other, I need to rebuild some other projects which depend on it. This isn't a problem--I'm just setting the depends property of the target. However, ant is always building the dependencies, even when the files haven't changed.Let's say project1 has no dependencies; project2 depends on project1; project3 depends on project1, 2; project4 depends on project1, 2, and 3; and so on.I could hack a solution which looks at project K, and checks if project 1 .. project K have updated files using uptodate. If so, then run the target. This is messy and appears unnecessary.
What is the cleanest way to implement this?EDIT: So I decided to just hack in a bunch of targets, "check_projectK" where it does the uptodate checks on all of its source files, its build file, and the build files of the 1 .. K-1 projects. Due to dependencies, this is always handled correctly. However, this is still a large amount of copy and paste for a large workspace.
i have situation in which i have some library projects, say

, included in my lets say "MainProject" (a web project) placed on directory

, when i build the project it automatically place all the libs .swf in its "E:in-debug" folder, but when i debug or run the project it it gives loading error that
"E:DataProcessors.swf"
not found but i have those lib files on
"E:in-debugDataProcessors.swf"..
what could be the possible errors.

I've downloaded a html css template, edited out the fat i don't need, so on and so forth, now all I need is a photo gallery. However, I'm not sure how to embed the flash template to get it to run. I see that flash uses crossdomain.xml from browser's cache. Is there any trick to make flash to not get crossdomain.xml from cache? In the Flex Compiler option, I checked 'Generate HTML wrapper file', and then added some text to the alternateContent variable in the auto generated index.template.html wrapper found in html-template folder. For Run/debug settings I have the src/index.html file set as the file to be launched. In the bin-debug folder, the index.html incorporates the content of the html wrapper, and when I run the app in debug mode it behaves as I would expect. However, when I export a release build, the index.html file doesn't incorporate the content of the html wrapper file, and therefore doesn't do the check for a valid version of Flash Player. Do I have to manually copy the index.html file from bin-debug to bin-release each time I export a release build (this does seem to work)

I'm planning a webapp. I have all the wireframes defined, the interfaces designed in photoshop, data structures etc. It will be built on php and mysql however I've been unable to decide on which technology to use as a GUI. All your insights are welcome.
The problem with going the html way is that the GUI makes use of a special font that is crucial to the visual aspect of the app. So this font is required. For headers and fixed sections I could do sfir or use images but being a webapp, the amount of dynamically generated content makes it imposible to use image replacements. Enter flash. Flash solves the font problem easily, it even adds font antialiasing and animations which makes it look even sexier. Another pro is being able to deploy as an air app to use local storage for users that have troublesome connections. This way when internet access is restored the app can sync with the main servers. BUT... flash is being ignored by major developers, this would mean the app wouldn't be accessible to mobile devices, ipads,search engines, etc and requires the installation of the flash plugin which is not that big a deal but should be considered.

Go into project explorer and can't see much AS so how the hwll are they getting the images and text into the flash swf. By the html??? I don't think so.
I'm looking to create a popup which opens a "template" html page with an image placeholder. This way you should be able to send a variable from the swf and open up the same html page each time but the image would change as you change the variable from the flash button.
Basically I have flash page containing various thumbnails and when clicked, each one will open a larger version, but I dont want to make a html page for each one so rather 'send' the filename to the html page if this is possible?

I am designing a web application in Flex 4 and currently facing an issue rendering advanced HTML tags and entities in Flex 4. All I want to do is basically render an HTML text coming to me something like the one given below:-

I have a swf with a link which loads another swf, the second swf is not visible unless you refresh the page or "back out and go in" again. have a look at [URL] If you click on the image labeled "Television" you should see the new swf but all you see is the television image link in the lower left (this is correct as you use this to (back out) return to the main swf. If you then go back and try again the new swf shows.
