I am going to build my first ever flash website. how to design cool and stylish websites? Like the flash websites we see at [URL], I don't want to order from web designers there because it's way too much money to buy unique websites, so I was wondering if you guys know any tutorials (other than google) where I can learn how to build these cool and stylish websites? Mainly I want to learn how to build animations such as when the mouse hovers, an animation begins. I already know how to code in ActionScript with Adobe Flash CS5 and Dreamweaver CS5, so I'm not those newbies trying learn new code, I just want to learn how to design Flash Websites with those cool and stylish animation features.

I know when I create a Flash file I can utilize ActionScript to link buttons created in the .swf video file. Can I do the same with HTML 5? I would like to change one of my swf files over to HTML 5 to experiment with the new code. I heard Flash was going to offer this feature in CS5.

Is it neccesary to know HTML todesign complete flash based websites ?Ofcourse i know simple things like the index.html and adjusting borders etc within the html code. But i dont know exclusively how to make HTML standalone pages. Im basically a video edit guy and dont have much time to spend on learning HTML webdesigning.I propose to further study and polish my skills only in flash and stick to that area of specialization, ie.designing websites purely based on Flash. Is this OK. Are there designers like this who only specialize in flash websites without venturing into HTML ?

I am trying to include my Adobe Flash CS3 movies on my HTML websites. The website is validated XHTML 1.0 strict. It works fine in IE and is valid. (IE uses the OBJECT tag) In Firefox, I cannot have my movie since the EMBED tag is depreciated-If I do have the Flash movie included to work in Firefox, it will not validate since the EMBED tag is depreciated. Is there any way to have it work in FireFox and be XHTML 1.0 Strict valid? My URL is:(Flash on top)

Each page is flash expect for the Content page.Now each page also has its own url without loading a new swf file. How is this done?Also how does the swf know what url its on to highlight the correct menu button?

I'm trying to create a smoke effect that will run in background of a microsite portal. I needs to be pretty big compared to the use we see everywhere of particle smoke effects usign PNG or flash 8 filters.Here's what I came with so far playing with some flash 8 filters but the solution still doesn't perform well enough, especially when we add the other div layers over the animation. I car emore about style that realism, that's why I like this approach, witch let me used a prerendered image for my smoke textureAnyone have some techniques or approach to suggest that could make this project possible? The way it is right now, almost no computer will be able to run it at a decent framerate.

In TFS 2010 build, I have a new build and I want to call an ant script that builds Flash. How do I call the ant script? Also How can I compile the Flash directly? I've seen the Power Tools and this question but it doesn't help me as we don't have TFS 2008. I can't find any documentation on how to use the power tools except the 1 sentence on the bottom of download page saying to create your build the old way and import it (which isn't very helpful). I've installed the power tools on the agent computer but I don't see any new options in the Toolbox when I'm designing the build flow.

I am using Flash Builder 4. In the Flex Compiler option, I checked 'Generate HTML wrapper file', and then added some text to the alternateContent variable in the auto generated index.template.html wrapper found in html-template folder. For Run/debug settings I have the src/index.html file set as the file to be launched. In the bin-debug folder, the index.html incorporates the content of the html wrapper, and when I run the app in debug mode it behaves as I would expect. However, when I export a release build, the index.html file doesn't incorporate the content of the html wrapper file, and therefore doesn't do the check for a valid version of Flash Player. Do I have to manually copy the index.html file from bin-debug to bin-release each time I export a release build (this does seem to work)

I'm planning a webapp. I have all the wireframes defined, the interfaces designed in photoshop, data structures etc. It will be built on php and mysql however I've been unable to decide on which technology to use as a GUI. All your insights are welcome.
The problem with going the html way is that the GUI makes use of a special font that is crucial to the visual aspect of the app. So this font is required. For headers and fixed sections I could do sfir or use images but being a webapp, the amount of dynamically generated content makes it imposible to use image replacements. Enter flash. Flash solves the font problem easily, it even adds font antialiasing and animations which makes it look even sexier. Another pro is being able to deploy as an air app to use local storage for users that have troublesome connections. This way when internet access is restored the app can sync with the main servers. BUT... flash is being ignored by major developers, this would mean the app wouldn't be accessible to mobile devices, ipads,search engines, etc and requires the installation of the flash plugin which is not that big a deal but should be considered.

I placed my AMFPHP folder inside my htmltemplate project folder, but now everytime i build it wants to 'refresh' the folder which takes forever. Is there a way to set it so that folder does not refresh each time? I put the AMFPHP folder in there so I can have a unique copy for my debug builds and leave the production build one alone.

I know a fair bit about flash, and can make a basic flash website, with just using on(release) gotoAndStop(2) etc and have have all my buttons link to other pages
but lets say I have a interactive music player on my flash website, and its on every page, and on viewing a page on the website, i want to change track on the music player to the second track.

I have been seeking for months to try to put my flash animations in myspace blog but I haven't succeeded in doing that. I have tried to put the code source of the html document but it doesn't work . When I saw the animations pre-maded in websites for myspace , it's exactly the same code as I have saw in the code source of my html page. Why it doesn't work? I have tried to convert to anothers format, to put them in youtube , but it wasn't very good.
I have tried a files hosting where I put swf files format and I put the links , but myspace doesn't accept this kind of links , they say that it brings spams. I have just think about it and I haven't done it yet. If I convert swf files into flv files and I put the correct video code , Will it works? I read that myspace doesn't accept the flash animations but it's not true because there are a lot of flash animations to put in that.

I've noticed that a number of Flash sites have urls such as [URL] which gives the ability to return to a specific area (in this case "services") of the site rather than staying on the homepage each time you go back to the page. As you navigate through the site the url changes to reflect where you are in the swf.
