I need the counter to count up to a set date and end on a set number. The date would be 12/31/07 and the number would be 1,000,000. Just like the current counter I would like it to reference to the users cmoputer clock.
I would like to make an .exe file that shows a starting number (that I would designate in the code), and then every 30 seconds, it adds 1 to that number. So for example, the exe begins by showing "11,057" on the screen, and then 30 seconds later, that number changes to "11,058", and so on. Is this possible? How do I do this? I wish I could find an .fla that does this so that I could understand everything from setting up the text box to show the number to assigning the actionscript code to make that number change.
PS - I need this counter to run as an .exe file on a Windows 7 computer that will not be connected to the internet, so code that requires PHP or running on a web server won't work. But an XML file called from the .fla would work, because I could keep the XML file in the same folder as the .exe on the computer.
Just a small problem here. I have built a counter that is suppose to correspond an ordinal number to it's respective picture. Currently I have managed to do so graphically using the timeline, however this proves hasselsome when having to change the number of pictures. The pictures are loaded into my photoalbum dynamically using an array. I would like to dynamically correspond a number to each picture. This way is i have five pictures it will go to 5 then back to 1, same as if i have 99 pics (maximum to be set). Attached is the what the counter will be used in and the counter itself. As you can see it starts at "00" but that's just initially, it should never go back to "00" when a picture is present even though image starts at image0.jpg. if this is confusing here is the layout example layout:
pic generater loads with initially nothing no image, counter displays "00" user clicks the forward button image0.jpg loads, counter displays "01" user clicks the forward button image1.jpg loads, counter displays "02" user clicks the back buttion image0.jpg loads, counter displays "01" when user gets to the end and clicks the forward button image0.jpg loads, counter displays "01" if user is at the beginning and clicks the back button imageXX.jpg loads ("XX" being whatever the last image number is), counter displays "NN" ("NN" being whatever the last counter numeber is that corresponds to the image. ex. image49.jpg, counter displays "50").

Unfortunately, the file would be to big if i included the pictures, but if u like you may test the view by making a folder called animation is the same directory folder as the test4.swf (do not put test4.swf in the animation folder) and save 9 pictures in there with there files names as image0.jpg, image1.jpg, image2.jpg... image9.jpg. The pictures should be no bigger then 425x425 pixels. Also there is additional code is used for the left and right keys to correspond to the back and forward button, these will need to be changed to.
I'm trying to make a volume button for my site and it looks something like this:
- ||||| +
i want the volume bar to start filled and when the user hits the minus button it lowers the volume and when it hit plus it takes the volume up well when I go down and up the volume bars start to get crazy...it just works when I go down the whole way and after it goes up the whole way, when I change direction on the midle of the path it jumps some bars...
Code: volDown.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, menosVol); volUp.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, maisVol); var cliques:uint = 0 if (cliques == 7){
I am working on a Flash Video player and am implementing the ability to start a video at x time within the span of an FLV (served from FMS). I am able to start it x seconds into a stream without any issue using
netStream.play(source, startTime);
but as far as I can tell, it only supports seconds. I am looking to be able to give a start time (or even a seek time if that is supported) in milliseconds, or really anything more precise than whole seconds.
Anyone know of any way to achieve this even by monkey patching the fl classes?
Is it possible to somehow tell what scripts/intervals/onEnterFrames are still running in a flash file while viewing the .swf? I seem to be having some possible RAM issues with the .swf and just curious if there is a way to track this.
how would i resize the window in a flash movie at different intervals? example here:[URL] in that movie, the window box resizes at different set intervals.
It feels like it's been ages since I've worked in Action Script (dissapointingly the demand just isn't there for me) and I'm really, really rusty.
I'm working on a Flash banner, and one particular part has 5 movie clips. I want each movie clip to fire off at separate intervals(i set it at 300 miliseconds per clip)
Here is the code I have written that works for two clips:
Code: //Animate each icon var timer:Timer = new Timer(300, 1);//create the timer timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, doNextTween); timer.start();
I am trying to develop a simple product catalog using flash and xml. The xml file only has a list of catagories and under each a few products. I have a combobox wich list the catagories and another which list the products in that catagory. Each works fine but the products don't change according to the catagory that is selected in the catagory combobox. How do I change this. I use xmlConnector to bind the data to both.
2. When I browse through the products using a loader component sometimes there is flicker and you can see the image before it is resized. This is realy annoying. Should I use a movieclip loader? The images are not all the same size.
I am trying to create a website with a product where you can change the colors on the product similar to this url...Is this something that I can do with flash?
I will redesign a product page that contains products like Vase, Ceramic Plates and more, Customers can customize the colors of the product. Now I need some advice what approach would best fit, I am planning to use Flash/Flex/Actionscript in implementing this; That way I can minimize loading to many jpegs for the product and at the same time making the page more interactive.
Is there a way to have a flash control scroll through a number of images with descriptions without knowing Flash?Perhaps like LightBox but with nice scrolling.
I have been creating mini product movies in Flash using sound recordings, key frames, and tweens. This is the 5th in the series, and just NOW I'm having problems.I had my frame rate set to 30fps with one long sound bite, about 2.5 minutes. Everything looked fine on my end, but when I loaded it into a landing page in IE, everything was out of sync, but only on other people's computers. It still looked fine to me.
I compressed the sound file more, which helped some, but did not aleviate the entire problem. I noticed the frame rate when I did a quick preview (just pressed enter) would fluctuate from the 30 fps all the way to 9 fps.I then cut the sound bite up into 13 segments,shortened the tweens, and reduced the frame rate to 18fps. In development and in preview, it looked fine. However, when I put it into the landing page, the animation was way too fast for the sound and the sound bites looped.
the experts here please recommend some product to record a computer screen session that then imports well into Flash? I want to build training videos that record the screen session and my voice and am looking for a software product that can do this.
Why not have the Adobe Flash CS5 product directly generate mp4 and other formats in addition to SWF?From my chair (as an Adobe Flash CS5 user) it
-Going about using other additional software has direct effect on a software budget. -Costs extra manhours to gather information of how it is done. -Costs extra manhours/user time to process. -Perhaps even increases the likelihood for errors and noise in re-processing already processed files (SWF->{F4V,MOV,MP4}) (F4V->{MP4,MOV},)relative to the original source FLA file?
I have to make a flash product displayer for the main page of their site. They don't know a whole lot about web development (but they know enough), so they keep asking me to do things that I keep telling them I can do.Well, I can't. What I need the thing to do is have the user hit a button, and the product change. They can also hit the back button for the last product. The previous and next product will be visible but not touchable. Almost like a scrolling wheel of products.
i've been batteling with this for over a week now and i've just been unsucessful. I wonder if someone has got a better solution/theory to solve my problem I am trying to make an online product selection in flash. So the user goes from stage 1 to 6 choosing different options.
The first stage is where they choose the material. I have over 100 different materials to display! I want to put them in a database so i can update it later and also apply filters on the display page, because each thumbnail needs to store the Picture url for thumnail and main picture, the name of the material, the Price range code, the Colour description, pattern description and the material description.
How can i achieve this?! I really have looked high and low for something that stores it on one page and filters can be applied. It just needs to fill a movie clip with as many thumbnails as it finds in the DB, whilst storing the information for each thumbnail. Eventually i would like to add a button below each thumbnail which says 'select this one' which then just sets a variable to the name of the thumnail button they clicked.
I've found a simple count up script over on Actionscript.org
var count:Number = 0; var maxNum:Number = 1250; var num:Number = 1; this.createTextField("txt", this.getNextHighestDepth(), 0, 0, 100, 50);
[code]....
This works great for my use, but now I am trying to figure out how to make it count down. I've tried changing everything to opposites like count=1250 and maxNum=0 (I think this would be the minNum instead), count+=num to count-=num, and count>=maxNum to count<=maxNum.
I want a movieclip consisting of a dynamic text box that, from the time it's loaded onto the stage, loads a randomly selected text string from an array, and continues to loop until the clip is removed from the stage. I also want the text strings to appear in the text box for random intervals between 500 and 3000 milliseconds.
While I've found tutorials here and elsewhere on loading one element from an array, usually triggered by a button, I don't know how to combine/alter it with the other elements.So I want this movieclip on the stage randomly flashing phrases from an array, some for a barely perceptible time, and others for a readable time.
I'm having some issues with a thumbnails scroll that I found in another forum. I was able to modify it to fit my needs, but now I want to incorporate a interval that plays my next image without having to click on the buttons. I have tried several methods but nothing seems to work. here is the code:
descriptions=true; alert._visible=false; var ease = 5;
Is there a way to put a hit counter into a flash video? Or is that something that would need to go into the HTML file? Also I need it to be invisible, but be able to check it somehow.
