the experts here please recommend some product to record a computer screen session that then imports well into Flash? I want to build training videos that record the screen session and my voice and am looking for a software product that can do this.
View 3 RepliesI'm running Vista, 32 bit, and the latest version of Firefox. Any time I enlarge a video I'm watching on a website that uses the Flash Player, (youtube and others) to full screen, the computer eventually locks up. The video continues normally, but hitting escape does nothing to reduce the video back to the smaller size. I then hit CTRL ALT DEL and still nothing changes. The mouse can't move the cursor, hitting tab doesn't work, nothing.
I've tried uninstalling the Flash Player using the offline uninstaller, and reinstalling the latest Flash Player using the offline installer. I've gone to the Flash "about" page after each of those 2 actions to make sure that Flash is completely uninstalled, and reinstalled. I've also run CCleaner after uninstalling Flash Player just to make sure no registry entries, etc. remained.
I'm having trouble with my computer and the latest version of Flash. What happens is that everytime i get in contact with a flash-based media on the internet (Youtube, banners, games, etc.) my computer freezes and after 15 seconds it starts 'melting', as in the pixels slowly turning blue and black. This happened right after i installed the latest version of Flash. I have to take the battery out of the computer to get it working, which is offcourse not healthy.
Does anybody have an idea what this is due to and how it can be fixed? I am pretty desperate.
FMS can record computer sounds, I use flash to do a piano, it can play sound, I want record the sounds, FMS can record it?

I need to have a banner that changes every 5 seconds. Problem is that when I move from page to page it starts at the beginning. If I had a session that recorded each change and that could be read by flash on initialise then this would work. My prefered platform is PHP but can use ASP

What I am wanting to do is somehow to take a screenshot of the entire webpage and import that into flash so that i can manipulate a live website in flash. View 1 RepliesThe navigation buttons in my .fla file are set to the font, Arial MT in Bold. It displays no problem on my desktop computer. However, when I view the website on my laptops, the font changes to what looks to be something like Times New Roman. The same thing happens with my "Read More" button text. It's also originally in Arial MT Bold. On my desktop it appears fine but on my 2 laptops it appears to be in Times New Roman. This is more of an issue because I have these buttons underlined. When viewing in my laptops, these underlines appear to be too long. If I shorten it, it'll probably appear to be too short when I view on my desktop. How can I get the font to be one consistent font for all computers?

View 12 RepliesI'm trying to put together a Product Features Application, which allows visitors to our Website to view what their product will look like with add-on products via a simple checklist, and image layering platform. So essentially:
- Visitor see's the main Product (Fireplace) on Website Page- Visitor sees three Lists containing Checkboxes below the main image- Visitor clicks one checkbox from each list, and sees that ADD-ON product added to the main image above (so that they can view what the product will look like). I'm using CS4, and I'm slightly new to Flash.
Ever since I installed Flash CS4 on my computer, it runs fine for a while before becoming really slow to respond and a pain to use, so I have gone back to using Flash 8 which runs fine. Is this a problem with my computer or the program?

View 5 RepliesI am working on this cd-rom and have just reached testing stage for part 1 (of 5). There are lots of interactive activities, video and animations. For the activities, I dont know if I am just too tired but there seems to be items which are visible on my .swf on my computer that sometimes are visible and sometimes are not visible on the cd-rom, also in testing yesterday there sere some activities that seemed to not be working correctly (Althought they perform fine on the desktop version, on a reset of the cd-rom they then seemed to work. Is there anything that I need to take into account for the code being read off a CD to make it more bullet proof? I am stressing out a bit at the Unknown factor- I cannot continue to produce this resource if I cannot guarantee how it will perform in real life?

For instance, if you try simply to run the .swf file: MinimaSilverPlayBackSeekCounterVolMuteFull.swf in Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Flash CS5/Common/Configuration/FLVPlayback skins/ActionScript 3.0, you get the following error message:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class fl.video::UIManager could not be found.
Such a skin cannot be used in a published application (though it will work within the Flash IDE in Test mode).
Not all the skins have this problem. However, at least all of the Minima prefixed ones do. Of course the one I wish to use is broken. Is there a way I can fix this? If I try to publish the corresponding .fla (in FLVPlayback skins/FLA/Action Script 3.0 I get "Warning: unable to load SWC FLVPlaybackAS2.swc".
