Jul 31, 2009How do I get an mp3 file to auto-play when I open a Flash movie on my computer? I presume it is actionscript but I am not sure what the code is.

Jul 13, 2009I work with 3d animation. Im have a problem with a personal website Im doing, I have a link in a button inside a flash movie to open a new window and play a youtube movie:

This works fine in Firefox but in IE it doesnt work, I then change the /v/ in the youtube link with /p.swf?video_id= and now I have the window open showing the small youtube thumbnail of my video but once a click play, nothing happens, I check it and is not loading anything.
Flash :: Movie Doesn't Auto-Play?
May 29, 2009When I export my flash movie to be hosted then embed it on my site (myspace) the flash banner(no controls) doesn't AutoPlay. I checked and unchecked Paused at Start in the publish settings, published and exported, but both times when I hover/click on the blank/unloaded movie the menu shows the Play option unchecked. My file has a preloader and the movie/content starts on frame 2. I have CS4/AS3.have the movie autopaly on it own. (I wish Adobe would have named the option Autoplay instead of Paused at Start,I wonder who came up with that).Here's my code:

Professional :: CS5 Movie Clips In Timeline Don't Auto-play
Oct 2, 2010So I used flash for some relatively extensive movies back in the MX days, but haven't done much with it since. I'm trying to build a relatively simple movie now in the newest version of the software, but I'm having some trouble.I want to create various smaller movie clips with animations in them, then drop them into the main timeline and have them animate automatically when the playhead hits them. However, when I view the movie (or test it) all I get is the first frame, they don't animate.Did I set up the document wrong or something, or is this something basic I missed in the newer versions? Is there a better way to structure this?

Jan 2, 2009I'm making an interactive film. At certain points within the film, the viewer has the ability to select from a few options that will direct them to an external video clip (they are flashback scenes). The main story pauses when the user selects a flashback scene and I'm clear on how to achieve this.
However, my issue is that once the flashback scene ends and the external video closes, I'm not sure how the main story will resume. Is it possible for it to auto-play (resume) in some way? My last resort would be to have the viewer select a play button - this is only because I do not want a break in the narrative and want to limit the amount of clicks the viewer has to make.

Dec 3, 2009I'm currently making an animation which will eventually exceed the 16,000 frame limit (don't ask haha), so, short of making two movies and having to just start up the next one, what is the code for loading a movie? I presume they need to be in the same directory? So basically all I want is on the last frame of the movie the code executes and the second movie file opens up and starts. I guess I'd want the current movie to close, too.

I have another movie that loads called "scene-3.swf that holds a small gallery of movies". is there any way to make "scene-1.swf" auto-mute or turn down the volume of "juke.swf" when it loads, Then auto turn it back up after I click to another movie?

Mar 20, 2012I am working on this cd-rom and have just reached testing stage for part 1 (of 5). There are lots of interactive activities, video and animations. For the activities, I dont know if I am just too tired but there seems to be items which are visible on my .swf on my computer that sometimes are visible and sometimes are not visible on the cd-rom, also in testing yesterday there sere some activities that seemed to not be working correctly (Althought they perform fine on the desktop version, on a reset of the cd-rom they then seemed to work. Is there anything that I need to take into account for the code being read off a CD to make it more bullet proof? I am stressing out a bit at the Unknown factor- I cannot continue to produce this resource if I cannot guarantee how it will perform in real life?

Aug 14, 2011My CS5 flash crashed when I changed the name of the root folder while it was open. Swf is working fine, but .fla file wont open, I get a "Failed to open document" message. This is a disaser because I've lost two days of work. Is there anything that could be done to fix this problem?

Jun 1, 2011I have been working on a project for a week and suddenly it crashed during save (nothing strange had been imported or anything i just saved after moving content around) and now i cant open my file again. I contacted adobe support who claim that since the problem is related to the file this is not their problem, what a load of HORSE ****, who should i contact about this dell if its an FLA FILE!? I have already renamed the file to flash.zip then opened with WinRar and repaired as a new zip file to a different folder (which removes the corrupt content which is document something.xml) then i tried renaming this folder back to flash.fla however the file still does not open.
