I am using currentSlide.gotoNextSlide to change between slides, however I can't make it stop playback on load of each slide.I have a motion tween with I need to NOT play automatically when the slide loads... but no matter how many iterations of stop(), gotoAndStop(), etc I use, nothing will stop the clip from playing when it is loaded!

I have created a presentation that so far has three slides, each containing a flv that I imported and added a skin to.Is there any way to stop the movie on slide one (besides manually) when I move to slide two? View 2 RepliesI'm trying out Flash CS4, and am using it to create a slide presentation. as I feel stuck at the moment. Here's what I need: An intro slide to act as a "front cover", giving the user of the presentation a chance to load it up before initiating the following content. The next slide to contain a video, which starts playing as soon as the slide is loaded. Also on this slide, a few pieces of text need to appear at certain times as defined by me.
Here's what I have so far: A blank 'slide1', ready for my content. Presenter presses the right arrow and it proceeds onto slide 2. A 'slide2', which has my flv video clip placed on it with optional play controls. So I need to know how to start the flv player automatically when slide 2 is opened. I think I need to place some ActionScript on frame 1 of slide2, but I don't know what. If I set the video to 'autoPlay' in the component inspector, it starts as soon as the swf presentation is opened, which is not what I want - it should only auto play when it's own slide is navigated to.
What is the easiest way (for Fash novice) to navigate back and forth between the slides of presentation made with Flash Slide Presentation feature. Each slide contains animation and plays well the first time but when if I want to back to a slide, it would only show the last frame of that slidI tried many things including making buttons for back and forth and managed to make buttons that fade when you pan over them (big accomplishment:) but can't get them to actually do stuff for me, like go forward and backward. I tried to assign to the button's frame "UP" thee following script but it doesn't work:

If you add a 'Stop' anywhere on in the action script when using the arrow to go back and forward through slides it goes to the stops rather than the beginning of each slide.
I've been having a bit of a hard time understanding how to get a button which I have created in Flash to navigate to the next slide of the PowerPoint presentation which it has been added into.
I understand that I somehow need to make use of fscommand in ActionScript, but I'm not sure how I can get Flash and PowerPoint to communicate between themselves.
I'm using Flash MX 2004 7.0 and Powerpoint 2003.
Making a photo slide show to load as an external movie clip on my site when a button is pushed . Here is a link to the .swf file:[URL]..Basic problem: There is text that describes each set of 6 pictures. After the set of 6 pictures plays through the text is supposed to disappear and a new text appears to label the next set of 6 pictures. Problem is: the text doesn't disappear!
I made all the text layers a symbol/movie clip. I animated each text to disappear at a certain point in the timeline but when I test the movie the texts just remain there and build up one after the other.
When watching the movieclip, pay attention to the text in the lower left screen.

in XML gallery , how we can load all images first so that rest of the slide show runs smoothly
For example: I have placed 10 images in XML , when slideshow starts , all the effects not appears , because it waste time in loading each image on its turn I want to load all images first , then want to start the slideshow how i load all images at the start ?
i downloaded the sample file of making slide photos, but i just can't make it run and load pictures automatically and loop itself continuously. how do i do it without have to hit next or previous? and all done with action scripting only without using keyframes? can someone please provide codes for me to learn or use? View 4 RepliesI'm able to create all types of files except for a Flash Slide Presentation. As soon as I create a new presentation I get a R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call error, a message pops up saying Flash has unexpectedly quit and then the program hangs until i have to manually end the program in my task manager.
I've tried to find out a bit more but it sounds like people only get these errors pertaining to their browsers so not sure what this error has got to do with Flash CS4.
I'm developing a presentation based on flash and would like to utilize a presentation clicker to advance to the next slide. The presentation is a bunch of SWF files loaded from an XML file. My question is; is there a way to use a presentation clicker to access a snippet of code to advance to the next SWF file? If so, what do I have to use to make this work.

I would like to find out if there is a way to fadeout the slide show at the same rate the images fade out, or if there is a way to make a slideshow with a transparent background. I have the text portion complete and now want to add some of my own pictures into a slide show or gallery on a serperate page linked to my site. Is there a way to do so. have little experience using them. However, on a couple of slides, I want to play some short voice clips. How can I "turn down the volume" a bit on the main sound file so as to hear the short voice clips? View 2 RepliesI'm developing a new website one with a dynamic slideshow which can be found here. [URL] The problem is, after weeks of it working it all of a sudden now has issues loading the xml data into the swf. The swf loads but nothing displays in it, this worked and I changed nothing but updated the graphics which would display in it. If you hit refresh an untold number of times eventually it loads. To me this sounds like a server issue, but I'm not sure.
I've tried updating my flash player, updated the swfobject.js to the latest one I could find. I've made all my .js local on the server instead of calling externally to a source. I'm not sure what the problem might be. I've attached a working and not working example graphic to this post. I've tested this out on 7 different PC's both of which running either Windows 7 or Windows XP. Out of 7, 4 of them load the slideshow properly each and every time. 3 of them however loads it, but will randomly get the issue where it doesn't load properly.

View 1 RepliesWhen I changed hosting from the companies hosting to my own personal GoDaddy hosting everything went right, except for 2 flash slide shows (Simple rotating images). They just apear as clear boxes now. You can see what I am talking about here: [URL] and here [URL] . You will notice the empty large empty box on the right in both pages. When you right click on it the browser recognizes that it is flash. On the Piza site I tried taking out the original code and entering the flash object via Dreamweaver CS5, but that yeilded the same results (I only mention this because the code on that site will thus look a bit different).

There should be four. I am new to flash and am having a hrd time geting it to work. I can't seem to attach the flash document. It says invalid file.
