Making a photo slide show to load as an external movie clip on my site when a button is pushed . Here is a link to the .swf file:[URL]..Basic problem: There is text that describes each set of 6 pictures. After the set of 6 pictures plays through the text is supposed to disappear and a new text appears to label the next set of 6 pictures. Problem is: the text doesn't disappear!
I made all the text layers a symbol/movie clip. I animated each text to disappear at a certain point in the timeline but when I test the movie the texts just remain there and build up one after the other.
When watching the movieclip, pay attention to the text in the lower left screen.

I've created a series of images that fade in and out. When i run the movie the transition from the last picture which fades out to the first image is not smooth. it transitions from a faded out image to a 100% opacity image

I am using currentSlide.gotoNextSlide to change between slides, however I can't make it stop playback on load of each slide.I have a motion tween with I need to NOT play automatically when the slide loads... but no matter how many iterations of stop(), gotoAndStop(), etc I use, nothing will stop the clip from playing when it is loaded!

I am customizing the Photo slide show with thumbnails from this site. It is great. I was able to customize it so it would work with bigger pics (640 width X 480 height) basically wider pics then they are tall, but I also have pics that are taller then they are wide (480 height X 640 width).
1. in the thumbnail area the taller pics load over top of the pic before it and then there is a large gap after it.
2. the movie clip that loads the full size image aligns the pics to the upper left corner of the movie clip. I would like it to center the taller pic. I know I will have the same problem with the wider pics when I make the viewing area 640x640 they will look to high.

[Url] This is kirupas great tutorial to make a vertical gallery along with a slide show. Normally this is fine but I find one problem here. When I clicked any thumbnail it will load the respective big image but the slide show portion is disturbed and it is not maintaining the correct numbering after clicking thumbnails. What I mean to say if I clicked No Six thumbnail it will load No Six big image and we hope that after that it will load No Seven, No Eight and so on as a part of Slide Show, but that does not happen all time there is some skipping of numbers in the big images after clicking the thumbnails.I posted the Code below. Can anyone help to make the No sequence to big image proper after clicking any of the thumbnails.

I like to move the four pages according to the name of the top menu items with certain intervals. ( The pages are just images) and like it to use xml to load. When the home page loaded the menu "home" will change its color to red and when the second image is in the frame the second menu item will be red.

I am attempting to build a small slideshow using as3. I have built it on a transition extension. i have it working, but all the images are loaded into the library, given a class name to reference them and the rest is done based on the class names.in the as3 code a array has been set up all the class names listed like this:

I have taken it a step further and created a xml file listing the url to the photos i want to load in but this is where i am lost the urls are being read successfully in, so the code can access the urls but im not sure from there how I actually import the images in, or how to assign each a seperate class , does the addchild command assign a class name that i can add to the above array?

I'm trying to get a movie clip to automatically load up another external clip, after playing an embedded flv.
This is what I've tried so far:
var holdFrame = setInterval( holdFrame, 5000);
gotoAndPlay(
_root.mc_holder.loadMovie("swf/library.swf"));
clearInterval (holdFrame);
Although it throws no errors, the setInterval is ignored and it just loads direct into the next mc clip.

For example: I have placed 10 images in XML , when slideshow starts , all the effects not appears , because it waste time in loading each image on its turn I want to load all images first , then want to start the slideshow how i load all images at the start ?

AS3 code that will allow me to play a series of 4 "slides" (movie clips) that are contained within a single container-movie clip?[code]...
now, at the end of that movie clip, I want to initialize slide2_mc... and after that, slide3_mc & then slide4_mc. After that, it should loop back to slide1_mc.

I am trying to load an external swf into a movie clip.Within my index.swf file I have a button that when released loads another swf into a movie clip within the index.swf. I have done this before and have no idea why it is not working. When I publish the movie I get no error reports.Here is the script:

_parent._parent._parent.contents.loadMovie("apache .swf");
}
All swf files are within the same folder on the server as well.

Is there any possibility to load external movie clip (from swf) into mc? I know as2 has loadMovie command, but as3 doesn't support it (am I right?).
If it is possible how can I access loaded object? Like any other instance?

I have an xml photo gallery which i'd like to embed in one of the tabs of my sites. I've tried to do this by loading the external .swf file into a movie clip which i called empty_mc, using the following code
ActionScript Code:
var empty_mc:Loader = new Loader();
addChild(empty_mc);
var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("main.swf");
empty_mc.load(url);
When I load the .swf on its own, the photo gallery works fine, yet when I try to load the swf via the movieclip, it gives the following error message:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference at main()
(All of the relevant files are in the same folder)

Im trying to load an external SWF on to a parent SWF with AS3... When I'm editing the code I get no errors, but when I test the movie I get this error.[code]...
The file I'm trying to load is called PhotoViewer.swf... But that file physically has nothing on the stage all it has is in the publish settings, at the action script settings in document class it says PhotoViewer, a .as file which I have... Its like a gallery and it uses an XML file... I want to be able to switch back and forth between 2 "Photoviewers" loaded by the buttons, only displaying one at a time. So I wonder if this affects the loading of the SWF or my code is just bad...[code]...

I already have the .php file (see code below) and I am successfully able to load the variables into the actionscript, but I cant get the images to show up. I've loaded an external .swf into a movieclip in my parent .swf using the loadMovie(); function. The file loads perfectly and in the right position, however I can no longer access the functions of the external .swf. When I load the file into a level rather than a movieclip, the functions (buttons and timeline) of the external .swf work properly. Is there any way to use the functions of the external .swf when I load it into an empty movie clip?

I want to build a nested movie clip which has 5-6 .jpg files which I want to load externally and then dissolve them at the transition time. So eventually I would also be having a timer to start the playback. I do not know how to get it going...... Just want the images to load through a loader, dissolve between them, timer to start the playback and at the end the movie goes back to the main time line. Just let me know where is the starting point for me and how do I address this issue.

I am trying to load an external image into a movie clip that is already on the Stage and size it to the movie clips size. The movie clip name is member_gallery with the width of 360 and the height of 251. One of the images i am trying to load into it is 1024 * 768. I would also like to load other images of different sizes into the same movie clip and they all change to 360 * 251 when loaded.

1)I was able to load an external .swf file into a blank movie clip (A TARGET CLIP WHICH I CREATED using createEmptyMovieClip) 2)Also by placing a button on the stage I was able to remove the movie clip
BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO KEEP ALL MY CODE IN THE FIRST FRAME. I would like to Remove the Movie without putting the code on the button. But it didn't work.
