I am using a logo in .png form. I would like to have the logo very small at first and then get bigger frame by frame as it goes down the timeline. I created a keyframe on frame 1 and then another keyframe on frame 40. I then made the logo on frame 1 a small size, and I have the logo on frame 40 a large size. I am not sure how to tween them to produce the effect. It won't let me select the "shape" tween. I tried "classic" tween and motion tween (makes you convert to symbols), but no dice.
I have a dynamic gallery of images with a small picture that you click on that loads a bigger picture. I would love to be able to just have one photo that loads into the bigger mc and also the small mc. right now what I am doing is making two size photos a small 47x47 and a large141x141. How I can use the same photo for both mc's. If that works will it make the small photos take forever to load since their sorce is a large photo?
I am wondering what that effect is called or how to achieve it where let's say I have 6 squares, 3 on top, 3 on the bottom(2x3 matrix) and where if I click one, it gets bigger, and all the other ones get smaller. The problem here is the how they get bigger. If I click the middle square in the top row, it should stay in it's position and grow where as If If I click the bottom right one, it should grow towards the far left side. I'm guessing the registration point needs to be changed dynamically?
How should vector artwork be drawn in Freehand so that white details sitting over a blue base are still readable when alpha of e.g. 50% is applied in Flash 8 ? In Freehand 9 I created a logo. Logo has an rgb mix blue base rectangle and rgb white drawn shapes on top. I also drew over the text and gave it the rgb blue as a fill with line none. That sits on top of one of the white shapes.

So is there anyway I could use any of the above code to load the big image associated with the small image? If event.target points to the current thumbnail being picked up, could i do something like event.target.url to point to its name or something?
The user uploads an image. After uploading is complete the image is displayed the screen. The user can select a particular pixel on the image. Accordingly the image should be removed of that color and made transparent. 1. i tried the getpixel and setpixel32 the image still is very blurr. 2. i also tried threshold its also of the same result - not able to see how to make the output of the image more crisp.
How would i make a web banner that maybe could expand to a bigger size when i roll over it? i see people doing these over the internet but do not know how.sometimes the web page changes to accommodate for the bigger web banner once the user rolls over with their mouse.

I am not sure that I have to break the image to multie peices then put them in a different time line or use Masking. i am designing a web for my friend and i need help making a 3d logo which spins 360 degrees. the logo is of a giant G with a guy on top of it and some minor text.

im trying to make a logo where the text avoids the mouse ( i got that much) but than the text springs back to its original position when the mouse isnt close to it anymore. heres my current code
I have a flex project and if I build a release version of the application using flash builder with RSLs on my swf is 115k. If however I build the same application using ant the swf is 342k. Without RSLs the swf is 520k.
How do I get the swf to be as small as the one built by FlashBuilder?

I am trying to make a text effect where the colours fill up inside the logo lettering as if water was being poured in. Is there a way of doing this either by Actionscript or some form of advanced masking perhaps?
I have a pure Actionscript 3 project, using flash.* libraries, compiles down to about 6k (using mxmlc). Program handles about 1k shapes, a few sprites, a sockets connection, works great (tastes less filling).

However I don't know how to make the small squares motion, I want them to "spawn" around the text with alpha slowly growing, not behind the text so it's clean and to move outwards and slowly disappear.

My First Question is - how can you get it to show the drawing of the line - almost like an animation? This example instantly shows the line - I want the appearance that you're watching the line being drawn. Do you animate the lineTo variable and just keep refreshing? My Second Question is - can you do the same with a Bezier curve? In the end, I'm trying to draw random bezier lines from the left to the right in varying thicknesses and shapes (being able to see them being drawn from left to right).
im following some suggestions to cut my flash website into a few sections to make preloading a bit easier. so all i want is to make a small round ring rotate as long as the file is loading. so i looked and followed a lot tutorials but all the preloaders tutorials are much more compliceted then i need. they all have persentige sowing, and a bar that is filling according to how much the file has loaded, and colors changing etc. so i tried to take from the tutorials wat i need for my simple preloader to work but i get stuck.i built the animation of the rotating ring, but i get stuck with the actions i need to make the animation work as long as the file is working. i called my ring animation "circularloader". here is a image of the page with the ring:
