I want to put protection on the server Because anyone can broadcast I want to put security on the broadcast only Not to receive sound and picture When you use any Flash Media Ankodr when the connection request requests a user name and password either, which does not have a user name and password can not broadcast sound and picture
So I have a FMS 3.5, which I want to do live streams. The thing is I want several different people to be able to do the live broadcast, and I would like the server locked down at least a little and not allow anyone that wants to, to start a broadcast. With that said, I have FMS 3.5 installed, and I installed the Authentificaiton Add-In (3.0). I added a user to the authentification add-in, but it's still doesn't require a username / password, doesn't even prompt me.
I have a task before me that I have not spent any time researching in the past because I never thought I would have to do it... I need some specific advice from some of you gurus out there.I need to set up a training facility in which we film a teacher in HD and broadcast it live across the internet to 30 locations around town. I also need to have a live chat going with the video in which any of the viewers can ask a question to the teacher and he/she can answer it in the lecture being given.
The 30 locations that the viewers will be at will be a board room setting with an HDTV on the wall , and maybe a wireless keyboard and mouse that they can share to chat with the teacher.I know I can quickly figure out all of the video stuff, like lighting and cameras. I really need advice on all of the technical stuff that it takes for the live broadcast on the internet.
I imagine that I will choose a content delivery network, but which one? I imagine that I will use Flash Media Server, but which version? Do I need a real time transoding device to feed the analog HD video signals to to feed it to the computer? The company has T1, is it fast enough on the uploading to get what we need done?
I've successfully set up a media server and a live broadcast today. I embedded the swf file into my website and my friends are able to see my broadcast. But my broadcast is only 10M. And the streaming bit rate is 1700. So once the audience is bigger than 6, the broadcast starts to slow down. I've seen on the website that peer-based networking technology can significantly reduce the bandwidth for a single stream, so that the audience can be expanded. Is there any tutorial describing how to implement this? BTW, is there any free VOD/LIVE template available on the net? I would like to encorporate a vod system on my website.
I have Windows and I have setup FME before with Justin.tv and UStream. But I do not like their layouts and lag. I only plan to stream to a few people, and I have my own personal home webserver. It's Windows XP and Xampp Bundle is installed. Is there any way I can broadcast to my home server? and if there's any way possible, to my website hosted by [URL]?
This is showing up in my logs, and i have no idea what is causing it and can't find any more Dropping application (stream_app/_definst_) message. Clients not allowed to broadcast message. It doesn't happen very often, about once every 1 to 2 days.
I am trying to broadcast live video using a webcam. I am using the developer version of FMS3.0. Actually i have a working code of webcam broadcasting, which i used before. But now i am using a free version of FMS3.0. When i tried to connect, the following error is showing:
HTTP broadcast delay is too long, I do a test in the LAN, send video using FME 3.2 the flow FMS4.5 server, use the sample folder under the videoplayer to play live video streams, using HTTP delay of 10 seconds or more,(RMTP play live rarely delay), who can tell me, how can I do this problem can solve the delay!
I want broadcast the television channel in the flash video component. It should be just like seeing TV channel in the internet. I have some knowledge in flash media server. I don't have knowledge to do this. First I want to know that, is it possible to broadcast television channel in the flash video components. If it is what are the software need to use or any other tutorial links.
I currently use FMS 4.5 to steam Live Technical Videos.
Hooked into Flash Media Live Encoder is a Roland VR-5 which lets me have multiple Camera switching.
I want to braodcast also a few live Audio only streams. I could easily use the VR-5 which in turn has a Behringer Audio Mixer attached to allow up to 16 Audio devices to be mixed in, and then just turn off the Video option in Flash Media Live Encoder but:
I don't want to have to put a video window on the Webpage. I just want an Audio controller.
So how can I use FlashMedia Server to just stream a live Audio feed?
I had a question about RED5 & Adobe... Does anyone know if it is possible to broadcast multiple video chats using Adobe flash player from "RED5 flash server"?
The method used in FMS admin administration reference to access the admin api is like so: http:[url]....but isn't this unsafe ? i mean any one can see the password this way?
Is it possible to record .flv in an encrypted mode? I know RTMPE, but I mean an encrypted flv file, not only encrypted streaming. we want to be sure that the recorded messages will not be avaible for playing locally via a flvPlayer. (the application is running on a FMS service provider' server)
i just wanted to say that there is a security lack with the HTML Protection. If you have a domain e.g.and you protect your rtmp streams with html protection, you can steal streams like this if you know the swf path:Then you can steal easily streams.Asolution is to not allow all subdomains automatically when you enter a domain in the allowedHTML~.txt file. Then you could create a subdomain for the player,
I have setup allowedhtmldomains & allowedswfdomains. is this safe enough? i just noticed a unusual entry to my server. log Accepted a connection from IP:X.205.45.212, referrer: [URL] the problem is all these url is not valid , site name is ok but there is no such directory /user/world_cup/player.swf so how was this connection accepted? is there a way to crack these security on FMS. What other things i can do to secure my live stream?
Security Sandbox violation Error #2123 (checkPolicyFile; sampleVideoAccess)The problem is not that I want to take an image of anything at all it is that I am exiting a view in Flash Builder 4 mobile application after disconnecting from the incoming stream but I get this error It looks like the slideview transition is taking a bitmap image of the "View" before leaving for an alternative "View". I use local

Can Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 run on AMD Athlon Dual Sock Quad Core?I just requested a Dell server to be added to our farm to run as a Media Server and to my surprise, while reading the requirements for FMS it states the following: 3.2GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 processor (dual Intel Xeon® or faster recommended)
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Flash Media Server working with a little video playback application I wrote a few years ago that has suddenly stopped working.I'm using CS3/Actionscript 3.My app uses the FLVPlayback Component, and was working well last time I checked. I recevied a report that the videos stopped working, and have been looking into it.I figured I'd add a bunch of event listeners to the FLVPlayback's ncMgr.netConnection so I could get debug info on things like io errors, net status, etc.The problem I'm running into is that the netConnection is null when I set it to anything on my Flash Media Server, and adding any event listeners to this netConnection throws errors. Here's what I've tried so far:
Playback of a local FLV file works fine.In the FLVPlayback documentation, I found an example and stole the URL of the stream they were using in the example, and that works fine, although it is an HTTP protocol stream rather than RTMP.Any attempt to access FLV files on my Media Server, which has worked fine in the past, basically cause the FLVPlayback object to sit and hang in "buffering" mode and never progresses beyond this point. The netConnection object in this case is null. Here's my code:[code]........
Again the purpose of this is to troubleshoot the video streaming from the Flash Media Server, and it seems like there is no netconnection to the server being created.Does this mean that the server is not working, or is there a problem with the way I'm trying to access the content on the server? This was all working fine before, and I have set up the server-side application .ASC files and such to allow things to work fine on the server end.
I'm trying to make a software which sends video and audio data to a flash media server by using RTMP protocol. Currently, my program can communicate with a flash media server correctly. RTMP specifications does not describe about the raw data in video/audio messages, so I muxed raw H.264 and AAC data into video/audio messages and sent to the server. The server seems to accept them, but a video player cannot playback the stream sending from the server. The player just says "Loading..." For a test purpose, I sniffed the network packets between Wirecast and the flash media server and ripped off only video and audio data. Then, I muxed those data into video/audio message and sent to the flash media server. In this case, the video player connected to the server can playback the stream correctly.
I checked the stream sent from Wirecast, the stream seems not to be H.264 raw data because those data are not started from 0x17 instead of H.264 start code. With those situation, I am wondering what kind of container format I should use for H.264/AAC data to the flash media server.
I have to a problem using the Flash Media Interactive Server Feature Explorer. I want use the sample: RecordStream. I can see the instance "RecordStream" in console FMS 3.5. and show me the video in app AIR, but does not save the .FLV in my server.
I have Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 (not Interactive) running on RHEL5.5 x86_64 Linux. All is working well, however how do I prevent unauthorized access to connecting to the live stream and streaming content? How can I setup the server to require a user and password to stream live media to the server?I am new to this product and I have been reading some documentation but I have not found a clear cut answer on how to force a username and password to connect to the server to stream live content only.I am using the Adobe FMS Apache install, what files need changing?[code]I want to lock down a person from connecting to the server on the public internet and starting a live stream? Can this be done with a user name and password?
We purchased FMIS and we are encoding large 15+ hour MP4 recordings using flash media encoder. When opening these large files for playback, which have not been opened recently the player displays the loading indicator for up to 4 minutes! Once it has apparently been cached on the server it opens immediately from any browser even after clearing local browser cache. So a few questions for the experts
1. Why is it taking so long to load the file. Is it because the MP4 metadata is in the wrong format and the file is so huge? I read somewhere that Media Encoder records with incorrect MP4 metadata is that still the case?
2. Once its cached on the server, exactly how much of it is cached. Some of these files are larger than 500mb.
3. What fms settings do you suggest I change. FMIS is running on windows server R2 64 bit, but FMIS itself is 32 bit. We have not upgraded to the 64 bit version. We have 8GB of ram. Is it OK to set FMS cache to 3GB. And would that only have enough room for 3-4 large files, because we have hundreds of them.
