View 2 RepliesI am working on streaming programs through "Adobe flash Media Live encoder" in my website.The steps that i done for streaming is
* Installed Adobe flash media live encoder
* In the FMS URL entered as " rtmp://myserver ip/live "
* In stream given as "livestream"
* when i click connect the follwing error is displaying " Invalid primary FMSURL "
The website i am going to implement is [url]... which is done using PHP. Is there anything i have to do in coding to connect the media server.

Given: Source video media on the server/web storage, either as solid assets or pre-fragmented into defined 'clip' segments Source 'overlay' media on the server/web storage, as video-with-alpha assets Source audio media on the server/web storage
Given a '3 layer' playlist where the desired outcome is to: Stitch together the selected clips (regions from within the source video media) from various sources into a single, solid video asset. Composite the 'overlay' media using normal alpha compositing into that asset at variable times (defined by the user). Mix the audio media into the solid asset (mixing with any audio contained in the original source clips).

I'm new to Adobe Flash and I'm just trying out the Flashe Media Server 4.5 to stream live video on a local machine. I'm using a FLME 3.2 to capture the video from my digital camera, which works fine, and I can connect to the server with no worries as well. But I have issues streaming the content in the Sample Video Player that comes with the server.

I could contact about building a custom live Flash media encoder for our website. We have a database for authentication and a list of upcoming events with stream information (FMS URL and Stream Name) that we want to automate into an encoder. Currently we have our customers use Flash Media Live Encoder and copy/paste the values into the encoder, but would prefer a solution that is more tightly integrated with our site

I have installed the Authentication Add-In on a FMS 3.5.5 Development version, running Windows 2008 Server.I can easily get to the users.exe command prompt and add users with no problem.BUT, when I open the Flash Media Live Encoder and go to enter a username/password when connecting to the server, I keep getting "User Not Found".I've went back several times using users.exe and tested for my user credentials and it always states that the user is there.

View 9 RepliesI am trying to create a flash player to stream an on online Internet radio station using FMS. I chose FMS after being told that I need RTMP server to extract the metadata. Our radio audio is being encoded using a DJ interface called SAM Broadcaster. But for some reason, it does not have an option to send over the stream directly to a Flash Media Server. Only options are either IceCAST or ShoutCAST. How should i setup the stream? Should it be Stream encoder>> IceCAST/SHOUTCast Server>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client. Or should I setup Stream Encoder>>Flash Media Server>>Flash Player Client? Shouldn't Flash Media Server be an alternative to IceCast or Shoutcast? If that is the case, how do I send over the stream from SAM Broadcaster directly to Flash Media Server without restreaming through another streaming server?

i have got a video application using FLVPLAYBACK component. isLive=true, rtmp://application/live/demo Flash media live encoder 3 the instance is demo. Everything works fine.I need to know when Flash Media Live Encoder 3 is off-line. how i can do that FLVPLAYBACK detect this action and the client is disconnected. i try using buffering but i don't know, how take a time for it. for example is 5sec in buffering do another action or is there some function that detects when there is off-line?

Right now I'm telling my customers to buy the MainConcept AAC plugin, or to buy VidBlaster or Wirecast. Can anyone from Adobe comment on when Adobe might release a version of FMLE that includes AAC?

However, I'm wondering whether Flash has any support of such mechanism.Can multiple client publish their Mic object to the same stream hosted by the FMS and get mixed together there? Or, rather, I have to create multiple streams for each speaker to publish to respectively and instruct every audience to subscribe all of these sterams and do the mix on the receiver side?
View 2 RepliesI want to record a stream which is published with Flash Live Encoder to FMS 3.5, but split the recording in files with predefined length. For example if a stream 'webcam' is published I want to record it in chunks of 10 minutes: 'webcam1.flv', 'webcam2.flv' ... From what I can tell there's no facility to work with timers. The only solution I could think of was using stream.record() with a time limit parameter but that seems like a hack because it triggerstStream.Record.DiskQuotaExceeded on the stream when the recordin should stop and start recording another chunk. Has anyone done something similar?

I know we can store single live streaming with DVR but I need to store all the live cams into single video. Note: I'm using FMIS for above application (with rtmp).
I develop failover fms application with server-side action script. But i have a problem that FMS can't continue to record stream with record mode "append".
Environment: FMS 4.5.1 r484 on CentOS 5.5/6.0
Goals:
I have 2 same data streams in failover application and republish primary to livepkgr application.
I have to store of last 10 hours intact recorded video (DVR).
Failover app logic:
1. I create NetConnection and NetStream to livepackager;
2. When primary stream is connected it attach the primary stream to livePackager NetStream
3. If primary stream is disconnected it reattach the backup stream to livePackager NetStream
Problem: I have testing environment. It stop primary stream every 5 min, and started primary stream 5 min after stopping.
It work's, fine, but after a few hours testing LIVEPACKAGER falls. It can't record a stream, NetStream.Record.Start -> NetStream.Record.NoAccess -> NetStream.Record.Stop
Search a solution: I try to relaunch recording process and have no success. try to shutdown/start livepackager, it's same, try to restart server, same no success.
I cant stream.clear() or record with mode "record" cause it clears my dvr cache, I cant clean stream directory in livepackager application.

I am trying to encode and stream live video. I have downloaded both the Flash Media Encoder and Flash Media Server. To complete the process of streaming video, it appears that I need to obtain a "flash media server URL address" which is called "RTMP" on the encoder page. Where can I find this? Is this something that can be downloaded, or do I have to purchase this from a partner like Level 3 communications, AT&T, etc.?

View 1 RepliesI have a web app that connects two computers and streams video to each other like a video conference. It currently works and also records the video in .f4v format. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to enable the client pc's to stream in H.264. Is it true that I have to use some type of encoder (like Live Encoder) to use H.264? If so, does Live Encoder have to be installed on the client computers? If that is true, is there a way to install the live encoder through our web app, configure it, and close it down when the conference is over, with no interaction from the client? Is there some type of plug-in that we could use that would eliminate the need for installing live encoder on the client computers?

Right now we have the problem, that we can not connect from FM Live Encoder 3 to FMS 3.5 running on the localhost (M:AdobeFlash Media Server 3.5Apache2.2). Can Flash Media Encoder handle several video sources and live srteam them all at the same time? We want to stream a few over the air broadcast sources using Flash Media Server v3.0. Is it possible to install several TV tuner cards into a PC and have Media Encoder live steam each of them at the same time? If not, can several copies of the software run on the same machine (each with it's own video source live streaming)?
View 3 RepliesI am using FMLE 3.1, but I presume that any server side solution would support all encoders. A basic version of the problem would be where I have one server and two encoders (with the same video source over SDI). If one encoder fails I want to be able to deliver the feed from the second encoder, without having client side logic. Is this possible?
I would welcome a discussion on ways to provide improved resiliency in the live streaming environment. It is amazing that no out-of-box solution is available to provide such basic functionality.

BTW: I asked a similar question some months ago but got no answers. Apologies for bringing it up again, but this must be a fairly common problem, as anybody using FMS and FMLE will need some solution. I have tried the livestreamcast application, but had little success. It also appears to be for a much bigger scale than I have, requiring an all origin environment.
I'm wondering if anybody knows of a guide or a step by step process for configuring a VBrick HS.264 encoder to send video to my FMS for live broadcast. I'm experiencing issues configuring the Transmitters on the VBrick admin panel and unsure how to have FMS recognize the video stream to publish it. Has anybody used a VBrick encoder with FMS?
