I have a movie clip on stage which length is 600 frames. I put a actionscript 3 code "stop();)" at the end of movie. it stops when it reaches to 600 frames but it disappears from the stage as well. Which I don't want. It should stop animating but stay with last fram which has a welcome message.

I assume that I need to create a listener of some sort....I haven't been able to find what I need in any documentation (and I'm even been looking through AS dictionaries going back to Flash 4).

It plays and resizes the movieclip, but doesn't get rid of it(i.e. it keeps looping). I also noticed that when I just used removeChild(thing); without the if statement, it only removed the graphics, and not the sound.
i am creating a movie clip(gotoAndStop1) which when a movie clip reaches x = 0 it will gotoandstop(2).
View 5 Repliesi just wrote a radial preloader. i have a problem though: there seems to be some "residue". it is for a small gallery.. so when i test the loader using the bandwidth simulation, the first time it look perfect, but the second time, i can see part of the preloader from the first frame, and as soon as the preloader reaches the leftover region, that region is cleared.

In frame one of "Scene 1" i have a movie clip that acts as a scrolling image banner, scene 1 is only 1 frame long and there is no scene 2 yet, or any other frames, But, when i preview, or publish, the scrolling image movie clip disappears, for like, no reason. theres no actionscript in any of the frames at all so that wouldnt be causing it somehow.

i have a mc on the main stage that loads the photos in.
i do not want the cursor to be seen when users mouse is over the photos.
I have a movie clip symbol that is about 8 frames long. I am staggering it 14 times throughout scene one, with varying times.My problem is that it plays once then disappears (I added actionscript on the last frame in the symbol movie clip). I would like it to play then keep the last frame displayed in scene one until a specific keyframe (60). Not have the movie clip instance loop, rather show the image that is on its last frame.

View 14 Replieswhen I leave a window with flash content, in this case, a scrolling movie clip with buttons inside set to hyperlink popups (only 1 hyperlink is set so far): [URL] the flash content will disappear. So if I go back to the window, I have to reload the page to get the flash to appear again. Same thing happens if I minimize the window, when I bring it back up, no flash, and I have to reload the page. The menubar with the boxes at the top is flash as well (different swf) and that doesn't have this problem.

I have a timeline that has some label frames at the very end of the timeline. During the timeline a user will hit a button on a frame and will jump to one of the label frames. On the label frame is another button that when clicked - returns the user to the previous frame. How do I make the movie return to frame 1 - without a button - but before it reaches the label frames? In other words, by simply reaching a certain frame in the movie, I want the timeline to go back to frame 1.

I have an invisible button and only one mc, the mc loops 3x then stops, this is defined with as in mc.
Now i want to play the movie from the invisible button but only loop it once. Which means i would like to play it from frame 1 to frame 215.

I am making a quiz/game, and it works like this, two teams that have to take over the united states, by answering history questions, so right now I have it were when you click on a state, it takes you to a question (on a different frame in the main timeline), then I have a problem, if you get the question right it takes you to the "board" of the United States (that works), but when you are back the color of the state should change its color to red (on frame of the clip) if south got it and blue (another frame of the clip) if north got itBut instead i changes back to grey (default color, all start grey to begin with). I have been playing with this idea for a few hours and now I'm completely miserable,I have two movieclips, mc1 & mc2. mc1 is palying a simple animation.I want to write a script so that when you rollover mc2, it checks mc1's frame number. if mc1's frame number is for example "10", it should play its own animation. otherwise is should wait until mc1 reaches frame "10" then play mc2 animation.
