just created a slideshow that loops because I want it to continuously play. I added another timeline layer and inserted my music file which is 4:03 minutes long which I set to loop as well. However after it has been playing for about 15-20 seconds it sounds like it is layering another music file on top of the existing one and so on and so forth, so a couple of minutes
I added a music file to the stage, the movie clip is only about 35secs long. The music is like 3mins long. Anyway my problem is that the movie clip stops and music continues playing. And the movie clip and music start playing again while the first music is still playing. And it sounds as if it continuing to do this. How do I stop the music when the movie clips end. Is there some actionscript code that will stop this.
I have my mp3 audio clip and made my play and stop button. I am using cs4 and as3. I want to have the play and stop button on my main page but still have the music play when the users clicks onto one of the buttons which takes them to a new page.
I want a site to have background music, but when I attach the music to the file it makes it quite large ...3 meg and the site is slow to load. Is there any way of having the music separate from the flash file and still have start stop music buttons?
I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as.flashsoundmuz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?
I downloaded a flash template and have modified it to suit our company but there is something that I can't do. When the file loads in the browser, music immediately plays and loops until you click a button to stop the music. On our video page, we have video that we need to play that has sound in it. How do I get the background music to stop when my video plays without having to go up and stop the music manually. The videos are loaded via an external XML document and there are no buttons in the FLA file to link code to. the website is [URL]
I am trying to add a photo to a Flash file that we had created for us: URL...I am kind of sort of new at Flash. I can edit these files but I can't figure out how to add a new photo. I thought you could just add a new layer but that's not working.URL...
Is it possible to add a player component to your fla file? In all the documentation I'm finding the only thing I can find is adding it to an flv file. I've run into a roadblock, my flash video encoder is not installed, I no longer have the cds to install it and when I try to export to an mov file its saying that the version of flash is too new for my quick time application. There has to be an easier way to add add controls to your flash movies.
I have a website [URL] that you can but banner advertizing on it. The banners have to be a jpg or swf file and have to be a certain size. I have no trouble with PS. Everytime you refresh the screen or go to another page a new add appears. What I'm wondering if I can take several pictures and make them into swf file. What I'm trying to accomplish is a rotating banner so you don't have to refresh to see the new ads.
I currently have an HTML website but add some music. The specific type of music player I want looks a lot like this:[URL]It seems that it is flash based.how I can find the proper code and steps in adding this to my current HTML based website? Is it even possible since my site is not a flash site?I adore this music player but I'm not sure how it would work and where I can find the proper information on either downloading it or coding it into my website.
I have a website banner made in Flash. I have added a music file to it and Play and Stop buttons. I also have a Replay button to replay the banner animation once it stops.
I have put the music on a separate frame so that it will not play automatically when the banner loads. I have made the Play button direct to the frame the music is located at so that when clicked, it will go to that frame and play the music file.
The problem I am currently having is that if I click the Play button more than once, it will play the music file again on top of the current play-through.
So if I click Play, the music will play. Then if I click it again, the music will play again, but on top of the first instance of the music, so two instances of it will now be playing and it sounds horrible.
I would like to make it so that if you click Play when the music is playing, it will not play the music again until the music has stopped.
I will like to add more music which changes automatically changes on this code as well as creating a button that manually changes the music forward and backward. How can i do that?
I am working with a Flash template that includes a window linking to an XML document. We are trying to have three scrollable columns instead of what we have now which is the one block of text provided through the XML document.
This has been a long time question, why, when you bring illustrator artwork into flash does it add so many unnecessary control points to the object? something as simple as a circle with 4 happy control points in illustrator suddenly becomes a 20 control point circle when brought into flash. It has been this way forever and I know that there is no setting to change this?
I looked over some cool examples of media scripts such as sound manager and other music player plugins for websites. I find that they are running the music file from a .swf file. So as I'm not aware of any website from where I can learn to code this?
The SWF is defaultly about 1 meg. The music file is about 3 megs as well (total 4 megs).Once the SWF has finished loading, I would like the music file to play, and then loop indefinitely.I don't want to embed the music, because that will bloat the load time so much.Streaming seems like the obvious answer, but I am having trouble then with the music starting immediately after the load has finished. Additionally when you are streaming music you can't specify how many times to loop the sound?
I created an eHoliday card and there is a button at the end of the swf that you can click to replay. It plays fine the first time but automatically replays at the end and there is no music the second time.
Never thought waiting seven years to update my software would be such a relearning experience...lol In Flash MX to add audio into a movie clip, animation, etc, all you needed to was add the file to your library and drag it onto the frame in which you wanted the audio to play. However when I try this in CS5.5 nothing happens. I'm sure there's just a different implementation now, and I don't know what it is.
I'm working on an animation where I have my "dog" fighting the evil vacuum cleaner. I got most of it to work the way I want it to.
1) I have movie clips entitled pepper_mc (where my dog is supposed to be walking), swirl (where a swirly-type symbol is supposed to spin over the dead vacuum's head), and vacuum_mc (where the evil vacuum is supposed to have a swinging arm (called vacuumarm_mc) that I created using the bone tool). When I add them to the stage and test them, the animations within the movie clips don't happen.
2) I have background music that I'd like to stop playing at the end of the animation, but I'm not sure how to do that. (using the stop(); actionscript doesn't help).Where am I going wrong? I'm using Flash Pro CS5.
Here's the file --> Pepper and the Vacuum of DOOM!
When the movies performs the getURL action, I want the music to continue playing, but the getURL function seems to stop the music at frame 152 (where the getURL action is placed), when I wanted the music to continue to frame 257 (the end of the movie). I hope I've explained this clearly
As you can see, first I created an empty clip. Next step was to create a variable named "audioStatus" to know if the button has been pressed or not. It seems I'm doing something wrong because the movie is not loading the music and it-s not detecting my var.
I'm developing a band site and currently have all the song clips playing and stopping via start/stop buttons. The issue is that all of the songs can be playing at the same time if you don't manually stop the other songs. The idea would be to have a song stop automatically if a user pushed play for another song. This is all the AS I have on the button right now:
I am trying to create a music animator. It will have bars that move up and down do the beat of the music. This is like windows media player where the music animations play. I want it to be verticle bars, where some are in sync with like the base and others are in sync with the tempo. Does anyone know of a tutorial for this? I am trying to emplement it within my website so that whatever music I am playing will auto control the bars and sync.
