A blue box surrounds each individual line I make with the paintbrush. I'm on the final stages of an animation. I'm currently using Flash CS5.5. The problem with these blue boxes is that it treats it like a seperate drawing disabling me from filling the the object in with paint bucket, however it does appear on the drawing it self. As a side note I've noticed it has labeled it has a drawing object, where as the other ones are considered shapes.. Is there a way to deactivate each thing as a drawing object
I've noticed when browsing my flash site sometimes--not on every computer but--when I click on something (like a button) suddenly an outline or border appears around my entire flash movie. Anyone know what causes that and how to make it go away?
As stated in the title an odd blue box appears around my drawing not allowing me to continue with what I was creating. I tried to get rid of it but just dont know how.

Is there any way of making the MOUSE_OVER of an object not work until touching the actual object instead of the square box that's around it? I have a bunch of stuff packed together and there are certain objects that cannot be detected due to others pretty much enclosing it with it's surrounding box. I am making a grid based game with movie clips of 4 colors. Till now I have completed to populate the clips on the stage randomly. I can trace their names like this

the first thing I am doing is to draw a shape. Object Drawing is selected. I have clicked the rectangle shape tool, have selected a color and fill. I drag across the stage and a rectangular line appears, but when I let off the keys, it dissapears. No shape, no stroke, no fill.Invisible, gone, disappeared.What the heck am I doing wrong?

Since at least cs3, Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop has all had the Alt + mouse wheel zoom function. I have wondered when this would become available in flash. I just installed my cs5 design premium and immediately noticed that the zooming function has been further improved in the other programs but still nothing has happened in flash.
Am I missing some way to enable this zoom function or is there some third party plugin that can help me? It is annoying and time consuming to have to press z then click around to get the right zoom level and then click whatever tool I was using before instead of just pressing alt and scrolling a bit.
I just upgraded from Flash CS3 to CS5 and when I draw something and try to convert it to a movie clip, duplicate it, etc. the entire drawing's outline just disappears.
when drawing an object and using that objetc to mask another layer im having trouble making more than one object act as the mask. Eg I draw a circle and use the mask function to mask an image, works fine, then i draw some more geometry (in the same layer) and it will not mask as the first object did. Is there any way I can 'Join' them togeter to act as one big mask?
I'm drawing with Flash's brush tool and the marks I make are appearing not just where I draw them, but also in the timeline or elsewhere on the stage. It goes away if I minimize and restore, but this is a big time-waster.
Is it possible to draw a strokeless shape with the pen tool (as in Illustrator)? It is quite tedious to have to go back and remove strokes from my shapes.... especially since I can't see how to do it without clicking on each segment and hitting "delete"!
When I am drawing with a pencil, the line looks like the shape I want to draw, but when I stop drawing, the shape reshapes to another shape whick looks like circles and rectangles = it does not look like the shape I wanted to draw. What is the problem?
bit of a noob at flash, so I've been having a bit of a difficulty in using the pencil/brush tool in drawing an animation. I set a keyframe, and paint a yellow stroke. Then i continue onto the next key. I then go back to the first keyframe, and want to paint a black stroke over part of the yellow stroke i made earlier.
after selecting this first frame (making the layer active), I go to change the stroke color of the brush to black but find that it now changes my yellow stroke (which I want to keep yellow) to black. I see that in selecting the frame, by default whatever strokes were made on this frame are also selected (which I don't want). So I'd like to know how do I avoid altering my previous stroke and still put a different colored stroke overlapping it on the same frame?
also is it possible to append a brush/pencil stroke to an old brush/pencil stroke?
I have a drawing thats made up of (closed) ovals, which i have imported into flash from Illustrator. The ovals are simple "drawing objects", 0.1 thick with no fill. I need to find a way to animate these ovals "drawing" themselves.
I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe Executive Suite CS5. In the Flash Professional CS5 program I am trying to do a drawing with the pencil tool. In the old version of Flash that I have (4.0) if I draw two lines that overlap, I can delete the line past the point where they cross. In this version I can't do that.It treats each line I draw as a separate item and won't combine them. I notice the properties panel says I am in Object mode which would be the reason. However I can't get it to go to merge mode, which is supposed to be the default.Is this because it's the trial version and not all features work in that version? I have a transparent png bubble in movie clips that are being randomly sized and animation started using code. The design has a reflection and I am using a gradient mask for the effect. The issue is when the bubbles animate they are causing drawing artifacts. Is there a drawing board in Flash Professional CS 5.5 installed or an extension? I want to use it to display a text string, and the user would be able to draw above the text. For example I could display a question and the user would be able to circle the right answer. Is it possible?
When I create drawing shapes I cant see any color or fill. I know there is a setting that need to be changed so I can see them. Here is a pick of what is happening on my screen
This is ridiculous. All I have is a blue box tweening across the screen, nothing else, and it is having all these intermittent distortion *blips* in the box as it tweens. Only 1% of my cpu is in use! Below is a link with a zip that has both the fla and swf. Could someone download it and tell me if it blips on your computer too? why I don't seem to be able to get a simple tween to work without getting distortion??
Basically I've got a reasonably complex drawing object in a fla and I want to reproduce it in a class definition using the drawing api. However obviously this is a tedious task, so is there some trick or automated method of doing this?
Last time I needed to do this it was a drawing of an arrow and I ended up writing down x,y,width,height values for everything but this one has curves in it which I don't have experience with drawing anyway.
