I've placed some of my videos flv and f4v in the vod/media and webroot/vod folders with sample files provided. My files were checked with flvcheck and passed. When I load the embed code into a Dreamweaver HTML file and save the page to the webroot folder as instructed, the provided sample files play in my Firefox browser. However, when I edit the code to insert my files in strict accordance with the instructions concerning codecID and extension, I get the following message on the Browser "We are unable to connect to the content you've requested." My videos are less than 30 minutes in length and were encoded H.264 using Adobe Media Encoder and as I said passed the flvcheck.

View 2 RepliesWith the Flash Player that comes with CS3 and on my PC XP Pro laptop.I want the player controls to appear at the _bottom_ of the video not on top of the video and not under (behind) the video.
- my video is 640 x 480
- so I modified the "properties" tab at the bottom of the screen to 640x480... (it was 550x400)
- but that just makes everything larger when I click File > Publish
- and then look at the video in Internet Explorer... the Player Controls are still _On Top_ of the video.
I guess I need to learn how to
- Make the stage bigger
- Position the Player controls below the actual video

I watched some videos at Youtube , about "Open Screen Project" (that Adobe leads) . And Adrian Ludwig(at Flash team) was using HTC HD2 and showing the Flash 10.1 at phone. I'm thinking that , if he used Flash at HTC HD2 , then there must be a release for phone too. I'm not sure , it's very important for me.

All was fine (i.e., videos played well; e-cards displayed well) up until a few days ago. Now, videos won't play (the screen remains black) and e-greeting cards won't open. View 5 RepliesMy computer jsut keeps freezing, before it completely does this message appears: (I am not playing any movies - I just reinstalled my whole operating system, so its not like I doing tons of things on when this happen, if I open more than one page - things just freeze and even with one page it takes forever to get to anything. A script in this movie is causing Adobe Player 10 to run slowly, your computer maybe become unresponsive, do you want to abort the script.

Operating System - Windows 7, 64 bit Web Browsers - Mozilla Firefox, Version 3.6.6 Microsoft Internet Explorer, 32 bit, Version 8.0 Flash Player Version 10.1 For some reason, the new version of Skype is playing havoc with my Flash Player plugins for both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
I downloaded and installed the latest Skype software today and noticed immediate problems. Skype was not responding and the Flash Player plugins on both browsers began crashing. I uninstalled both Skype and the Flash Player plugins. I then restarted my computer and reinstalled the Flash plugins. Functionality was restored to the Flash plugins in my browsers. I then reinstalled Skype. It was immediately non-functional and my Flash plugins started crashing again.I am now at the point where I have reinstalled the Flash plugins again and functionality is restored. I know if I try to install Skype, the Flash plugins will crash again.
After I updated Adobe flash player I noticed that videos I streamed did not play correctly.A video will begin to play but part way through it will freeze. It will indicate that it is buffering but it never finishes buffering and never continues to play, even if I refresh it.This occurs for several sites such as youtube, megavideo, and wisevid. This occurs for every browser I have tried (Firefox, IE, and Opera.) I also realized today that now iTunes cannot not download video either. I tried to save it as CS3, as CS4 alows me to do so and even that does not work.Details: I am using Dreamvewaver CS4 and Flash CS4 to build this site, could there be some type of an issue with DW4?
View 1 RepliesI just updated to CS5 - I'm working on a custom video player. It works fine embedded in a web page both locally and on the network. It works fine in the debug player. However, when I test it in the authoring player I get a NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound error and no video. I have tried setting the Local Playback Security publish settings to both local and network - doesn't find the video either way.
It used to run fine in CS4 in the authoring environment.
I am having an interlacing issue when I load my .flv files up to my site.The strange thing is that when I watch them after encoding in Flash Video Encoder (with adobe AIR) the interlacing does not appear. I can't understand why the interlacing issue would appear once the videos are loaded up to the site and yet they look perfectly crisp and clear when I watch the completed .flv's in AIR. I didn't de-interlace the videos the first time I created the .flv's but that shouldn't matter since they play fine in AIR right? Of course I can go back through and de-interlace them, but I want to make sure that this is the problem before I take the time to re-encode them all.
