Basically we upload FLA's to another system in which they MUST be CS4.. if a CS5 version is uploaded then the system crashes.
Just want to have a "checker" app that people without access to Flash could use to double check it is CS4 before upload.

I'm trying to create a flash program that uses it's own code to send and create images. Each square has a colour and that colour gets added into the array. A black, then grey, then white is:
filecode = ["Bl", "Gr", "Wh"];
That works fine, but when I try to paste it into an Input text box it will only fill in the first part of the array.
filecode = ["Bl,Gr,Wh"];
So the program has NO idea what I want.The only ways I can think of fixing this is by putting in 402 text boxes to suit every box...But every one of them needs a Variable Name.Or by sending the information straight into the array. But this way you are just looking at what you just drew, and that is not at ALL practical.
Whenever any text is entered by user in text-area.it should be have in correct format or in correct spelling.I have find out the way in flex 4, but i want to do it in flex 3.

I have a flash file which is supposed to display video in the background upon a certain button being pressed--the video just is set to play without any controls behind a swf that is also loaded in externally upon a click event.
When I test it locally, it seems that sometimes the video will play as expected, but usually I have to press the button again in order to get it to load(also, I've used different background videos and some just stop) Also, the netstream listeners dont trace anything. My question is: What code can I add to insure that the video is indeed playing?

Im trying to make password checker but in some reason my code doesn't work. I have one input text field "inTxt", one output text field "outTxt" and submit button "btn". My code checks if the text in the input field is same that is in the "pass" variable and if it is, it should print "Correct." in the outTxt output text field and if it's not it should print "Incorrect." But for some reason it prints "Incorrect." all the time.

View 2 RepliesI have been working on a full flash website for a while, and been testing it using the Ctrl + Enter command to export it to swf. Today I was working on the file making some text modifications, but when I tried to test the website, nothing happens. It shows the progress window, but after a while nothing happens, It wont show the swf test file, and It doesn't create the swf file in any way. I tried the other commands: file-publish, file-export to swf with no success. I'm using Flash CS4 professional (10.0.2) on Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit. Other .fla files export swf with no problem, and the Swf preview (Ctrl + Enter) works fine. It's only in this file.
View 7 RepliesI'm new to Flash and I need to learn how to do a slideshow with exactly the same features as can be found in this link: [URL]. Just like at the link above, it needs to play through the slides automatically once the page is loaded, each slide needs to link to a specific URL, and I need controls similar to the boxes at the bottom so the viewer can click on any specific slide they wish to view (I'd like to have numbers in the boxes though). The transitions don't have to slide across like this. If a fade is easier, that would be fine.
Actually, I thought I'd be able to do this fairly easily with Flash Catalyst, so I updated to Adobe CS5 Design Premium. I found that Flash Catalyst can be used to create a slide show like this, but unfortunately it won't play automatically when the page loads and the viewer has to manually click through the slides, which is not what I need. I could be wrong, but from what I've read, I need Flash Builder to add code so the slide show will play automatically if I create it in Flash Catalyst.

I have found a flash project online which does almost exactly what I need, but it only allows for searching a single word rarther than a full term or sentence. It also gives no error message when no word match is found. I am not very good at actionscript or I would be able to midify myself.

View 2 RepliesI have a font support library, however for each font I have to manually create a new swf file, such as Tahoma_14_bold.swf - which is a lot of work.I need to create a Flash automatization script (extension or command, NOT AS3 code) that automatically opens up a file, changes the font of a pre-existing textfield on the stage to, for example, Tahoma Regular 10 with bitmap font setting, saves it as Tahoma_Regular_10 .fla in a destination directory, compile, then change the font size to 11, save it as Tahoma_Regular_11.fla, compile and so on and so forth, up until all fonts are created.The end result would be 30 or so swf and fla files for each possible variation of the font.How would I go around doing this? Is this at all possible?
View 6 RepliesI have a borderless video that is going to be on a website I'm designing. I can add the play, pause, stop buttons but I need to add an exit video button. The video is going to auto play when a user goes to the website. The video is placed directly over a form, so I need the user to be able to click the exit video and have the video disappear allowing users to use the text fields in the form. I have tried many methods, but to no avail.
