View 2 RepliesIntermittently when I go to test a movie, Flash CS5 will crash. I usually get two this-program-is-messed-up boxes about the crash from windows before the program shuts down completely. If I try to open my .fla after this point, Flash tells me that it is an unexpected file format and refuses to load it. These are often projects I have been working on for several hours, and since it corrupts the .fla - all my work is wasted.
Details:
Flash CS5 from the Adobe Web Premium CS5 suite
Windows 7 64bit
.fla is on a network drive
I'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.
View 7 RepliesFlash crashes when I try to open any Movie Clip with a text field. This happens with both CS 5 and CS5.5. I am on a Mac Running 10.6.8. The files in question began as a CS4 about a year ago and have been converted to CS5 and CS55 since.
This problem happens sometime but not always, but it has definitely gotten worse with the latest Flash Pro update. (Flash Pro CS5.5 v. 11.5.1.349)This appears to be related to Mac only. I have reprouced on two other Macs, but have not been able to on a PC. (all running CS 5 or CS 5.5)We have a Javascript that goes through the FLA and embeds the fonts in all text fields. (Because font embedding in CS5 or CS5.5 infamously does not work at all). Sometimes if you run this script before you try to open the MC it will apparently fix the problem and let you in, sometimes it will not.
i have a movie that has a swf player practically on every page playing a number of different videos. When I export it usually and play it on another computer the flash file won't play the videos as they simply are not there
View 2 RepliesI have created an animation in Flash which is 2mins long at 25fps, so 3000 in frame length. However when I export it as either a swf or a mov it plays for 6mins! The frame rate is definetely 25fps in Quicktime export settings also but still it doesn't play for the correct duration? The Quicktime movie says 6mins also desptire the fps matching.
The movie is a standard timeline animation?
I have created a movie in flash8 and when testing it as a swf file everything is fine, however when I expoxed the movie to avi format the sound secuence does not run at the same time as the movie, in other words the sound is running slower than the movie?I have the frame rate set at 12.0 fps and have tried exporting in different formates. As an example one formate I have used is Microsoft MPEG4 and changed the frame rate in the settings to match as 12.0 fps but the sound is always running slower behind the movie?
View 6 RepliesI'm expecting a bunch of different animations that were made in Flash CS3 as JPEG sequences, however, many of the animations contain seperate timelines that contain seperate movie clips. When I view it as an SWF, everything looks PERFECT, all the movie clips within the animation are moving like they should and it looks awesome. But when I export it as a JPEG sequence, the parts of the timeline that are seperate movie clips and in their own timelines are completely static and don't move. What settings do I need to have set so that, when I export it, the JPEG sequence looks and behaves just like the SWF?
View 4 RepliesIm working between Dreamweaver & Flash cs4
Now i have a FLV video clip that i want play on a webpage with a full screen option so this is what im doing:
File > Import > Video
On my computer > Browse > (Found my file 17.8mb) > Load external video with playback component > continue
Skin: SkinOverPlayStopSeekFullVol.swf
Now its been imported i export it into my directory that im upload to my server (the swf file is now 59kb)
In dreamweaver drag the file onto my webpage and upload. When i view the page online it gives me an empty white box. Meaning its not playing.
Im working on a Dragonball Z MMO. things are goin great so far utilizing Flash PHP and MySQL. but thats not the issue right now.Im running tests of the battle system. i have the enemy set up as Mr. Popo (character from the series) The quality of the sprite appears great and in good color.however, when i compile everything into the final .swf, the movie clip appears diminished, discolored, and just really crappy looking.[code]it only happens to this movie clip in particular, any insite would be grossly appricated.
View 1 RepliesI need to export an animation from flash as a PNG sequence. I'd like the exported PNGs to be as small as possible so I'm checking off minimum image area instead of full doc size. But this had no effect it still uses the full doc size. I can export a single image and it works then. I deleted anything that could be altering the size. I even tried it with a simple scene with just a box and it still uses the doc size. I can scale down the doc, but that is very time consuming and won't allow for easy iteration so that's not an option. Is this a bug, does it just not work?
View 2 RepliesI've been running flash CS4 without error for a few months now, recently though whenever I close it I can't open it back up or I get this error:"The application Adobe Flash CS4 has unexpectedly quit.A crash report has been generated. To provide us with the best chance of fixing this problem, please select Continue to add a detailed description that includes the steps required to reproduce the crash.Recently I've been creating panel extensions and commands but deleting them from the directories to stop them loading didn't make any difference so i doubt it's that
View 9 RepliesSince about 4 days ago, every time I open my Flash CS4 project file, Flash crashes.Besides reinstalling.

View 1 RepliesI have Adobe CS5 Master Collection trial installed on Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, 32bit operating system.Every time I try to exit Flash CS5, no matter how (File/Exit, ALT+F4...) it crashes and won't close the window. While I work in Flash, open and close documents it works fine.
View 15 RepliesI'm well & tired of the volume of crashes from Flash CS5. Some are more predictable, like now every time I try to import an FLV it's crashing, so I'll try repairing permissions, and rebooting the computer. Some are more random, like I'm moving something in the Library and it'll just crash out. It's really a terrible experience working in the Flash IDE. I love Actionscript 3, and the Flash Player seems pretty stable. But my God, what do you do when Flash starts bugging out?
View 1 RepliesEverytime I attempt to import anything into Flash CS4 the application crashes. This happens when I try to import a single 14.0 KB file.I have tried to run in compatability mode but it crashes there too. I am currently running Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Flash CS4 version 10.0.2. I have tried to import them into an existing document as well as into a new document with the same issues. The import screen never pops up, there is a quick flash over the application screen and then the "The application Adobe Flash CS has unexpectedly quit" window appears.I need to do this multiple times through out the day to updates sites, and I am at a standstill until I can get this fixed.I know this happens alot and I hope there is somethign other than reinstalling to get it working again.
View 3 RepliesI've been working with Flash CS5 for the last few months, using it for animation, on an iMac 2.0Ghz, 1GB RAM, Mac OS 10.6; Once the files start becoming heavy Flash starts acting up, crashing frequently, freezing up, and takes too long to save (almost a minute or more!) I've been told that Adobe products aren't working 100% with Snow Leopard; is this normal? i have all the updates, both from Apple and Adobe; Is there any kind of bug fix, any of the sort that I can download?

View 7 RepliesI use Hikari a C++ library which allow to display flash control in a texture for the Ogre 3D Engine. I have a flash control which play a sound (.mp3) when I set a param (param = 0 with arg = 1022). The string I sent to raw_CallFunction() is:
"<invoke name="SetParam" returntype="xml"><arguments><string>0</string><string>1022.000000</st ring></arguments></invoke>"
It works very well. But when I close the application, it crashes, even if the sound of the .mp3 is finished. It crashes only is an .mp3 sound have been played (all other setparams and getparams do not crash the application). I have the same problem with different flashes, and with different sounds. I don't think the source of the problem come from the Hikari library, but I think it come from the way i close the flash control. Is there something to do when I close the application after having played an mp3 in a flash control? A function to call?
Every time I try paste an image from anywhere in the flash file (all scenes) it crashes. I also cannot export to .swf.I tried saving the file with different names in different locations and did not work.I also have no corrupt font (tried looking for them after I read it in a forum)I really need a solution or find where the problem is to be able to continue what ive been working on.
View 2 RepliesI have been working on a flash website for a few days now and I cant open the file any more. When I try and open the file, Flash Professional cs5 Crashes with this error:
[Code]...
System: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) If you want me to send you the file I can also do that...
I've got a large(at least I assume it's large, ~200meg) flash file I'm working with that upon saving, it goes into the dreaded "(Not Responding)" mode. Is this a symptom of being such a large file? It's image intensive--I can try reducing the image quality--or is there something else I'm missing?I'm on a toshiba laptop, using the latest version of windows.
View 3 RepliesEvery time I try and add any kind of action script (2 or 3) to my file, it crashes. I'm using CS5 on Win 7 64-bit.
View 2 RepliesSince the beginning of nov.2010, it crashes after some time of use. More precisely the toolbar disappears, then reappears, some GUI elements blink. It's not related to a specific user action. When this happens, closing flash is difficult (the window remains here). When switching to another app, some Flash parts remains The graphical memory seems saturated. Launching another app is met with a window error message. A windows restarts becomes necessary. This problem arises only in Flash, and with no other apps from CS3 suite.2 colleagues of mine has the same issue, also in the last weeks (= nov 2010). We work in separate places. We didn't exchange files. We are on Win XP Home Edition, Dell computer. They have more recent PCs than mine (which clearly meets the CS3 requirements), with enough memory, etcOne colleague has reinstalled winXP. The problem arised again, but I don't kow when. He also tried CS4 and CS5 and had the same problem.Today he un-installed all Adobe products with this utility:
View 2 RepliesMy CS5 flash keep on crash when duplicate 1 library moive/button or anything. My CS5 cannot save file, if do so, it will crash on next time when opening. For instance:

"Adobe Flash CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." This only happens when I open this specific fla file. I've attached it to this message, (download it here: http:[url].... (I didn't know which file to send so I sent all three that seemed to be related))
I made a AS3 web site. Made my own classes and am using quite a lot of media in this site. At least 10 mp3s/page for 3 pages and one site with 20 short .flv videos. All data is being loaded with an external XML. I also use a lot of tweening from the TweenMax package. The final .swf is only 600 KB big.
When I export the site everything loads beautifully. But when I do like a lot of site changing - I counted that arround 30-35 page changes - make my flash player and Flash CS5 crash. It will crash also when I click through the pages slowly.
