Professional :: Flash Movie Exporting As Longer In Time Than Fps Duration
Dec 21, 2011
I have created an animation in Flash which is 2mins long at 25fps, so 3000 in frame length. However when I export it as either a swf or a mov it plays for 6mins! The frame rate is definetely 25fps in Quicktime export settings also but still it doesn't play for the correct duration? The Quicktime movie says 6mins also desptire the fps matching.
The movie is a standard timeline animation?

I'm trying to make straight lines grow out of a stationary dot, like veins. I've tried shape tween, but it only works for shapes, not lines. I'd just get a blank workspace when I hit play. I've also tried motion tween, but I can't get the line to grow continuously to a point.

The only thing I get is a swf file.I don't really know why Flash CS 5.5 refuses to generate my project's apk file since I've never encountered a problem like this before. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? My player is set to AIR for Android,I have my certificate,I don't get any errors, and debugging on my device via USB works flawlessly.

I'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.

Is there a way to tell a movie clip duration without opening it? I have several movie clips on scene and it would be great to be able to tell where the scene ends, without opening each movie clip, adding their length to the starting frame and comparing them, which one will last the longest in the end.

I'm testing Live streaming with FMSS. The stream is pushed to FMSS buy Adobe FMLE software. Streaming works fine until I reach 1300-1400 simultaneous connections. No matter what the encoding ratebit is (150kbps or 2000kbps) the stream is no longer play from time to time (5-8 seconds).
The CPU (2xIntel Quad) is loaded less than 20% and memory used is about 2 GB (there is plenty of memory installed 32G). The OS is RedHat 5.3 64bit platform. Network uplink maximum rate is 4Gbps.I disabled the Queue but the problem still persist.

I have created a movie in flash8 and when testing it as a swf file everything is fine, however when I expoxed the movie to avi format the sound secuence does not run at the same time as the movie, in other words the sound is running slower than the movie?I have the frame rate set at 12.0 fps and have tried exporting in different formates. As an example one formate I have used is Microsoft MPEG4 and changed the frame rate in the settings to match as 12.0 fps but the sound is always running slower behind the movie?

I'm expecting a bunch of different animations that were made in Flash CS3 as JPEG sequences, however, many of the animations contain seperate timelines that contain seperate movie clips. When I view it as an SWF, everything looks PERFECT, all the movie clips within the animation are moving like they should and it looks awesome. But when I export it as a JPEG sequence, the parts of the timeline that are seperate movie clips and in their own timelines are completely static and don't move. What settings do I need to have set so that, when I export it, the JPEG sequence looks and behaves just like the SWF?

Im working on a Dragonball Z MMO. things are goin great so far utilizing Flash PHP and MySQL. but thats not the issue right now.Im running tests of the battle system. i have the enemy set up as Mr. Popo (character from the series) The quality of the sprite appears great and in good color.however, when i compile everything into the final .swf, the movie clip appears diminished, discolored, and just really crappy looking.[code]it only happens to this movie clip in particular, any insite would be grossly appricated.

I need to export an animation from flash as a PNG sequence. I'd like the exported PNGs to be as small as possible so I'm checking off minimum image area instead of full doc size. But this had no effect it still uses the full doc size. I can export a single image and it works then. I deleted anything that could be altering the size. I even tried it with a simple scene with just a box and it still uses the doc size. I can scale down the doc, but that is very time consuming and won't allow for easy iteration so that's not an option. Is this a bug, does it just not work?

I need this to work so that on my stage i can have a dynamic text box displaying the current time of the flv and the total time ---- example 3:45 / 6:58 where the 3:45 would update as the flv was scrubbed or played, or whenever a jump point was pressed. I found an example of this on this page.I have been using the as3 code to import my video and use cue points and for the life of me I cant get this to work.

Installed the new flash player and all of a sudden my flv audio no longer played in an existing media player built using the FLVPlayback component.
Finally figured out that if I change the FLVPlayback component parameter "maintainAspectRaion" from false to true, the audio will play.

Audio flvs that previously would play fine no longer play. I get "NetStream.Play.Failed".This occurs when progressively playing over HTTP, i.e. starting NetConnection.connect(null) and then NetStream.play("http://url_of_my_flv");Regular RTMP playback still works. So, I've seen two posts with similar issues in the last day or so:

In the following code The Photo, Fade, Rotate and Squeeze Transition effects work none of the others work. I think the transition is actually processed as the image isn't rendered till the duration time is up. I've tested all the commented out examples none work.

I'm trying to modify an mp3 player to work on my site, and I can't seem to get it to display time elapsed and total duration. I've included the .fla file below so you can see it (keep in mind that the mp3 file it loads, and the title are both passed to it through the link, i.e. "mp3player.html?audlink=test.mp3&audtitle=This+Is+The+Title").

I have a FLV player using netstream. I am using metaData to grab the video duration and time. It will grab the total duration time, but I want it to countdown to zero, like iTunes. Basically, the time will play and the duration will countdown to zero at the end of the video. I thought that I could take (duration) - (time played) but it's not working.

I've read various online docs but am still unclear on exporting to video format in my particular circumstances.
My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?

I'm having trouble exporting my flash movie to quicktime. I receive the error: The installed version of Quicktime does not support this type of Macromedia Flash movie. Quicktime requires Macromedia Flash version 5 or before. Please select "Version: Flash player 5" in the Flash tab of the Publish Settings dialog. I've tried changing the settings to every Flash versions 1 - 5, none of which seems to resolve the problem. I continue to get the same error message when I try to publish. I'm using Flash 8 and Quicktime version 7.7.5.

Every method I have tried so far to export my flash file as a workable AVI or MOV is by creating the entire animation on the main timeline. This means every animation, every tiny bit is edited and altered on the Parent time line, and looping animations will have to be painstakingly copied and pasted for the duration of the loop.Surely there must be a way to save the movie to include all the sub timelines? I think to the very simplethat video is everywhere - even on youtube! you can't say that has been copied and pasted for each loop?

I am having trouble exporting Quicktime videos from Flash CS4. Previously, in Flash CS3, I got the following dialogue box: Flash CS3 export box Notice the fact that I can change the export resolution in this box. I set the resolution to what I want, and then click the quicktime settings box to change the movie's imensions to what I want. The resolution settings in this picture determine what dimensions the flash movie is rendered at, not the final quicktime movie. Now, take a look at my new dialogue box:
Flash CS4 export dialogue options Notice that I can't change the resolution settings here. If I go into the quicktime settings and export out a movie at a higher resolution, it first renders the flash file at the ative resolution in the picture and then upsizes it to the quicktime resolution, resulting in a very low-quality, blurry movie.
