I'm trying to make straight lines grow out of a stationary dot, like veins. I've tried shape tween, but it only works for shapes, not lines. I'd just get a blank workspace when I hit play. I've also tried motion tween, but I can't get the line to grow continuously to a point.

I have created an animation in Flash which is 2mins long at 25fps, so 3000 in frame length. However when I export it as either a swf or a mov it plays for 6mins! The frame rate is definetely 25fps in Quicktime export settings also but still it doesn't play for the correct duration? The Quicktime movie says 6mins also desptire the fps matching.
The movie is a standard timeline animation?
I have a time line of 1441 frames my frameRate is 24 fps so it takes 1 minute exactly to complete the timeline animation I want to Display the Remaining time as file starts I need formula to place in ENTER_FRAME event which displays the time left
View 2 RepliesI'm testing Live streaming with FMSS. The stream is pushed to FMSS buy Adobe FMLE software. Streaming works fine until I reach 1300-1400 simultaneous connections.No matter what the encoding ratebit is (150kbps or 2000kbps) the stream is no longer play from time to time (5-8 seconds).
The CPU (2xIntel Quad) is loaded less than 20% and memory used is about 2 GB (there is plenty of memory installed 32G). The OS is RedHat 5.3 64bit platform. Network uplink maximum rate is 4Gbps.I disabled the Queue but the problem still persist.
My issue is that for my website I want there to be movies in between the interactive parts of it where the interfaces slide in and out. However, I can't stop a movie from playing over and over instead of playing once and going to the next frame.With 2.0 I haven't been able to find any research that helps me, probably because I don't know the correct keywords to search for.Right now I have my main time line set up with a loading bar on frames 1 & 2, that then jumps to frame 3 where I have embedded a movie (Instance named: mc_start) of the interface sliding in. Preferably after that I need it to jump to frame 4 where the actual interface is.
I can get the movie to end by going into the embedded movie's time line and simply have stop() ; at the final frame, but I can't get it to go to frame 4 on the main time line. If I having something like gotoAndPlay(4) ; on the final frame of the embedded movie's time line, it simply goes to frame 4 of the embedded time line and not frame 4 of the main time line. If there was a command to make it jump back to the main time line instead of the embedded time line, that would work perfectly.Coding on Frame 3 of the main time line to jump to Frame 4 would work if I knew the correct language to detect when the movie has ended (Movie is 191 frames long), so that afterwards it would immediately jump to Frame 4, but I haven't been able to find any resources that will teach me how to do it. Right now having gotoAndPlay(4) ; on Frame 3 of the main time line obviously makes it immediately skip the movie on Frame 3 and jump to Frame 4.
What I have is a movieclip and a button in scene 1 (which is the main timeline).There is an actionscript layer also on the main timeline. what I want to do is when I click the button, it would do a nextFrame(); in the movieclip timeline instead of the main timeline.

So lets say that I have 20 pieces of an "A" MC and one of a "B" MC, 10 of the "A" MC have the code "_loc1=1" and the rest have "_loc1=0" and if I roll over the 10 A MC that have _loc1=1 the B MC will gotoAndStop(2) but if I roll over the rest of the A MC's nothing happens.

View 5 RepliesWhen using the Pencil Tool in Flash CS4 the line does not appear until after I've released the left mouse button or Wacom Pen nib. In other words you can write on a blank page the letter A but it only becomes visible after releasing the mouse button. It's invisible inkThe same problem occurs on my other machine with the only difference being an Intuos compared with Intuos 4 tablet - however it has same problem with a USB mouse, so it doest appear to be a Wacom issue.I've found a (kindof) fix.Open the Wacom Tablet properties panel either from the Start Menu or Control Menu - leave it open while using the Pencil Tool in Flash CS4 and it all works fine!I would be interested to know if anyone else has the same issue - might only be relevent to Windows 7 - 64 bit (i've not tested 32 bit). Within the web page I have created Motion Tween with Motion editor and once previewed, it works fine. Going back to the stage and previewing the result shows the initial position of the Motion tween but it doesn't move and behave the way it shoud. What's missing? Where am I going wrong?

View 1 RepliesI have an instance of a movie clip on the stage that jumps to different labels (within the movieclip) when the large buttons at the top of the scene are in rollover state. The problem is that it stays there when the mouse leaves the button.
How do I make that symbol go back to frame one (not there) within the movie clip so that it disappears when there is no activity on the buttons?
Is there a button parameter like MOUSE_OFF (I know that's not one)?
I have made a pixel font using an array and have made it so it scatters from the mouse, (magnetic effect).Example at BladeMonkey Test Page.However if i make this string longer it slows down quite severly.

I've been developing a fairly simple presentation in CS4, AS3, OSX, which runs as a standalone projector.Everything was working for a while, but now for no apparent reason, any file I publish as a projector starts the Flash Player app, but the projector does not appear or play.Older versions that I had already published will play correctly, but if I re-publish them they do not work any more.
