i have a movie that has a swf player practically on every page playing a number of different videos.When I export it usually and play it on another computer the flash file won't play the videos as they simply are not there

However one problem I have encountered is the only way I can make the buttons appear after the video is finished, is by dragging out the single frame of video on the timeline to whatever length in seconds it is multiplied by the number of frames per second.
Is there some way to maintain each linked clip in a single frame and only move to the next frame (which contains the relative buttons) after the video is finished?
I'm new to Flash and have the following problem: I've picked up a Flash project tat has an embedded .mov that I need to edit. I then need to save an .swf of my Flash project. I've edited to file in Premiere, but I can't import the new .mov file to Flash, only .flv. Saving as an .flv isn't a problem, but even when I import the .flv I still can't save to .swf because I get the following error:

Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:VP6 Codec requires Flash Player 8 or higher
I need to export my .swf with the embedded video file for Flash Player 6 (client agency requirement). How do I solve this?
I'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.

View 2 RepliesI have created an animation in Flash which is 2mins long at 25fps, so 3000 in frame length. However when I export it as either a swf or a mov it plays for 6mins! The frame rate is definetely 25fps in Quicktime export settings also but still it doesn't play for the correct duration? The Quicktime movie says 6mins also desptire the fps matching.
The movie is a standard timeline animation?
How can I use a linked object without exporting it in the first frame? I'm asking that because I don't want to put an aditional load on the beggining of the loading progress...
View 4 RepliesI have a main movie on my site with buttons that display linked movies in the right half of that main movie. One of the movies is the kind that I only want to play through once, then stop. In the FLA file of that linked movie I've put a stop(); action in the final frame, and when played alone it stops accordingly. But when it plays as a linked movie, it continues to loop. What can I do about this? The button script on the movie doing the importing is:

I have created a movie in flash8 and when testing it as a swf file everything is fine, however when I expoxed the movie to avi format the sound secuence does not run at the same time as the movie, in other words the sound is running slower than the movie?I have the frame rate set at 12.0 fps and have tried exporting in different formates. As an example one formate I have used is Microsoft MPEG4 and changed the frame rate in the settings to match as 12.0 fps but the sound is always running slower behind the movie?
View 6 RepliesI am having trouble exporting my animations created in Flash CS5 (or Macromedia flash 5, or CS3) to .MOV files. I'm having these issues on different platforms (mac and pc) and different operating systems (XP and win 7) - I only get error messages and out of memory errors, even on the fastest computer I have with 4gig of RAM working on a 2mg Flash file. I just want to convert my Flash files to a format that can play on Youtube and standard DVD players. Also I've tried many converters (flash to video) - not all free (Moyea, Roxio, iWisoft, Winfx Video Converter, Amor, E.M. Magic, etc, etc) - nothing works. The main problems are either the sound is not synched, the playback is choppy, and the quality is awful. I think my only hope of getting a good video is starting with a good .MOV file exported from Flash. [URL]..
View 10 RepliesI am creating a Flex 4 project and would like to do an actionscript based login with encryption, but I obviously don't want it to be easily decompiled.If I dynamically link to a swf file that is in a "non-browse" directory, would a decompiler of the base application actionscript file also give the code of the linked file? I'm expecting a bunch of different animations that were made in Flash CS3 as JPEG sequences, however, many of the animations contain seperate timelines that contain seperate movie clips. When I view it as an SWF, everything looks PERFECT, all the movie clips within the animation are moving like they should and it looks awesome. But when I export it as a JPEG sequence, the parts of the timeline that are seperate movie clips and in their own timelines are completely static and don't move.What settings do I need to have set so that, when I export it, the JPEG sequence looks and behaves just like the SWF?

Now i have a FLV video clip that i want play on a webpage with a full screen option so this is what im doing:
File > Import > Video
On my computer > Browse > (Found my file 17.8mb) > Load external video with playback component > continue
Skin: SkinOverPlayStopSeekFullVol.swf
Now its been imported i export it into my directory that im upload to my server (the swf file is now 59kb)
In dreamweaver drag the file onto my webpage and upload. When i view the page online it gives me an empty white box. Meaning its not playing.
Is there a way of exporting an FLA file to a human-readable format, so that different revisions of a file can be compared?
I found a script for exporting to XML here (post 6):[URL] -- but it doesn't work as advertised - e.g. it doesn't export any details of items in the library.
I had imported some sound files into an fla (CS5) and then i accidentally deleted the files.So those sounds are present as symbols in the fla. How do i export/extract those files from the symbols?

I have taken some video files from Final Cut Pro converted them to FLV's imported them and embedded them into flash to create some banners for the web. I need to know what settings I should use to get these out of Flash for the web.
Also I need to send them to someone to look at before publishing. What would be the best format to do that in and how to do it.
Also has anyone has any experience creating banners in or online ads in a Video format like FCP and embedding them into a flash file to export them in flash for we publishing. Sorry again for the dumb question, just new to Flash.
I need to export an animation from flash as a PNG sequence. I'd like the exported PNGs to be as small as possible so I'm checking off minimum image area instead of full doc size. But this had no effect it still uses the full doc size. I can export a single image and it works then. I deleted anything that could be altering the size. I even tried it with a simple scene with just a box and it still uses the doc size. I can scale down the doc, but that is very time consuming and won't allow for easy iteration so that's not an option. Is this a bug, does it just not work?

I'm using the CS5 Web Premium suite and want to publish an updated version of a Flash movie that contains PhotoShop files which I've recently modified. Unfortunately, when I open the .FLA file in Flash Professional CS5, it's not apparent to me how to do this. I don't see the PhotoShop files anywhere in the Library pane and thus can't figure out a way to update the Flash movie to recognize my newly modified .PSD files.
View 1 RepliesI have created many flash video over the years so I definitely know how to embed an flv into flash. Also, it is very hard to screw up the import video wizard in flash so I have eliminated that as a potential problem. I haven't created a movie in quite a few months and yesterday I tried to create one. I used the wizard in flash to import the working flv and when i hit ctrl+enter to preview, a blank white screen showed up. When I right clicked, it said movie not loaded. So I tried to use AS3 and netconnection to embed the movie. When I previewed it, the same thing happened. I then went to view one of my existing swf's that did not have a video and that did not work either. I searched and found the adobe flash player security preferences and changed settings and NOW I can view swf's that do not have video. I can ALSO view old swf's that have video embedded BUT as soon as I open the original fla file and press ctrl+enter to preview, the swf's DO NOT preview anymore
View 1 Repliesbasically ive made a movie file and every time i publish it or publish preview i just get the first frame, i can scroll through the animation frame by frame but it wont play and it wont start! are there some settings i need to fiddle with or is something turned off? its really annoying me now because i cant for the life of me find whats wrong or even google an awncer. there's no error message, it just acts as if i didnt animate anything, ive tried going to propertys and putting the first frame to play but nothing ive tried worked!

View 2 RepliesI have Flash CS3. I have created a flash file. If I click on the SWF file I have no problems opening it It plays. It looks nice I'm the man.However, now when I try to publish it, the HTML file will not work. It says "windows cannot find this file,you have typed the location correctly".I am double clicking directly on the file and not typing anything, in fact I was considering checking on Ebay to see if I could upgrade my PC to have eyes.The feature has worked previously, which leads me to the conclusion that something else has changed. I have tried using the publish setting, I have also tried using Dreamweaver to embed the file, and have also tried manually inserting the necessary code after seeing some on a website.

View 21 RepliesI have been useing fonts like A.C.M.E secret agent, Crashlanding, Feast of flesh, mouth breather and so on.When i export the project all the text becomes Times new roman on other computers but mine. Or let me re phrase that to make sure there is no confusion.When the project is viewed on my computer the font looks fine but when viewed on any other computer the font is Times new roman and the sizes are completely messed up.

My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?
