View 2 RepliesI downloaded the trial version so I could work on the final project for class but for some reason when I tried to save it my computer froze up. Is this because the save feature is turned off for the trial version or was it just my computer? If I can't save using the trial version than I wasted memory on my computer and a lot of my time downloading the trial version that isn't going to be very useful to me.
View 2 RepliesI was quite excited about the new feature of the open FLA format and tried to save some existing FLA files as XFL using the CS5 Trial. I don't know whether the the feature is still in development, but it isn't working as expected at all which is some kind of disappointing.
It seems that the Flash IDE isn't capable of exporting existing bitmap assets properly and saving them to the appropriate path in the library folder in the file system. After trying to access the bitmap multiple times within the IDE and hitting the "Save as..." command multiple times and overwriting the current XFL, some bitmaps are magically partly there. Some others are not. Some of them have 0kb filesize and seem to be corrupted.

A couple of weeks ago I downloaded Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and it said I had 60 days. Now it says I have only 15 days left.

I also tried deleting the left flash cs5 program files after uninstall but it didn't work . I would need your advice. Here is the screen as it appears:
View 1 RepliesWe are looking to use flash to create iOS apps, so we have downloaded the latest version of flash, but when testing on the iPad we see pixalation, is there a later version of cs5.5 or an update that will fix this issue?
Or is there a setting beside the setting Resolution set to High...
I did read somewhere about AIR3 is going to better renderring for 3D, but will it be for the iPad and also what about 2D rendering, I mean it is vectors aand I thought they did not pixelate.
I installed Flash CS5 as a Trial and when I tried to launch it the error message appears on the screen:
Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
This application has requested Runtime to terminated it in a unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.
I already tried to re-install Vista again and even tried to install flash in XP with the same unsucess result.
I am using AS3 on a website. Part of the AS has been setup by an external source and I ma now updating and adapting it. My knowledge of AS is limited but slowly expanding.
Currently the site is a main flash file with all the content delivered via a main.as file and then populated via images and videos held in folders on the web.
In one section we have an email link.
I was using Email[url]... and it worked fine. It launched the email program and put the email address in ready to go.
When I added the subject element as below[url]...
it now does what it should with the email program but it also opens a blank webpage.
What can I do to get rid of the blank web page opening?
I was going to download the trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 but when I got to the download page it wasn't downloading. The "Download now" button was there, but it was unclickable, when I clicked on it it didn't work, plus it was a little dimmer than I remember it was when I downloaded another trial. I'm also using the latest version of Google Chrome and I tried downloading it on IE and Firefox.So, is there any solution to this?
View 4 RepliesI downloaded a 60 day trial of Flash Pro. I ran it once and it said that it was the last time I would be able to use it.
When I run it now I get a serial-number screen.
I'm trying to download Flash CS5 through Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). I've already logged into Adobe website but my DAP keeps on asking username and password authentication for trials2.adobe.com. It does not accept my Adobe username and password. What then is the username and password for trials2.adobe.com supposed to be?
View 1 RepliesI got an error in the end of the instalattion of Flash CS5 yesterday, but it seems to work fine when I open Flash CS5. Is there some kind of "repair" I can run to be sure, or do I have to delete the whole thing and instal it again?
View 2 RepliesI have tried to install adobe 9 five times now (free trial). I have disabled norton, disabled pop-ups, downloaded from Firefox and the same message: the wizard was interrupted before adobe acrobat 9 could finish the install.
View 2 RepliesI have setup a Flash viewer in a HTML Div container. In the Flash I have put a button which, when clicked, launches a new browser window with another site I've done to appear in. When I test this in Flash its working fine and launches the new window as it should. But when I go into Dreamweaver where I have placed the Swf. in the Div container, I test it locally in a Firefox browser window. The viewer appears and it works correctly, but when I click the button to launch the new browser window it just opens a window with an error msg 'unable to connect, etc'.
View 1 RepliesI have a preloader that measures the size of the external swf, then goes to a frame with a 'launch site' button on it. When the button is clicked, I'd like a popup window to open that is the exact size of the swf file (1100x800), but I can't figure out how to do that. I know there is some combination of AS3 and javascript required. Has anyone done this? I cannot attach the preloader file that launches the external swf since this is my first post, but have it available if anyone wants it. I have the site online for viewing as it is currently (just loads then opens in same window): [URL]

View 1 RepliesI went to adobe site. It have Flash Builder 4.5/4.6 now. where I can download older version(4.0)?
View 2 Replieslaunching word docs, powerpoints and pdfs from flash projectors on a CD. I've tried using -
fscommand("launch","mydoc.doc");
which does nothing. I've also tried as someone recommended, putting the files into a subfolder called "fscommand", that doesnt work either. Then I tried -
getURL("mydoc.doc");
which simply opens a web browser window then opens the folder where the file is stored rather than opening it. So to sum up, I want to make a flash projector on a CD which will launch those 3 file types with the click of a button.
I want to open a simple pop up window on a user click in a flash movie. I can make it work from all browsers except Chrome (6.0.472.41 beta) which blocks the pop up. Here is an example: [URL] (click the black rect, to bring up a google page in a popup);

i am trying to do a piece in flash and have figured out how to make it fun full screen...
now here's the problem, with Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; on the first frame it doesn't really scale the swf...
what i really want to do is take Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; out but then be able to see the swf play with out distortion... is that possible?
how do you go about retrieving the width and the height inside of the browser window and go about applying it in actionscript so the height is always 100% and the width is always scales proportionally so the swf doesn't get distorted?
Is there a way to launch a pop-up window from a transparent Flash file, without it getting blocked by the pop-up blocker? I know it's a security issue with the different browsers not to let you pop-up a window from a transparent .swf, but is there anyway around it? Like tricking the browser in anyway? I've tried everything I can think of, passing stuff to the html page with Javascript and then having the HTML page call the pop-up but that means that the page has to refresh then call the pop-up.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to create an Actionscript project in Flash Builder 4. However when I debug or run it always runs in the Flash IDE. I want it to run in the standalone flash debugger without the Flash IDE! This is driving me crazy. I'm on Mac if that makes a difference.
View 5 RepliesI have a main flash movie, that launches an external swf. Now this works fine, but this external SWF, launches more external mini SWFs. What happens is that after going opening and closing these mini swfs, is that eventually the main swf, will start to to run beneath the the 1st external swf. i.e. I have a small animation that is suppose to stop and remain invisible until the secondary swf is closed.
But this is not the case, and very randomly this will start to happen, and it makes everything look like crap. At first I thought it was the fonts that I was using through out the swfs, because there were some design changes, but after updating the SWFs with the new embedded font I am still running into this issue.
Look at it like this.
main swf---->2nd swf--->numerous 3rd swfs
I've had the CS3 web premium suite since 2007, but I've always had problems with Flash, though it's never been a huge problem until now. I don't know for sure, but I suspect there might be a problem with the disk, so I'm trying to see if I can fix the problem by downloading the Flash CS3 trial and activating it with my CS3 suite key. I downloaded the trial and it installed corrected as far as I can tell, but it keeps rejecting my key, saying that it's not valid, even though the CS3 suite is already activated on my computer and, even if it wasn't recognizing that, I still have one activation left. And I did make sure I typed it in correctly.
View 2 RepliesDoes anyone know of a place to download the cs3 trial? i need that version specifically.
