Professional :: 60 Day Trial Only Works Once?
Jun 26, 2010I downloaded a 60 day trial of Flash Pro. I ran it once and it said that it was the last time I would be able to use it.
When I run it now I get a serial-number screen.

I downloaded the trial version so I could work on the final project for class but for some reason when I tried to save it my computer froze up. Is this because the save feature is turned off for the trial version or was it just my computer? If I can't save using the trial version than I wasted memory on my computer and a lot of my time downloading the trial version that isn't going to be very useful to me.

View 2 RepliesI was quite excited about the new feature of the open FLA format and tried to save some existing FLA files as XFL using the CS5 Trial. I don't know whether the the feature is still in development, but it isn't working as expected at all which is some kind of disappointing.
It seems that the Flash IDE isn't capable of exporting existing bitmap assets properly and saving them to the appropriate path in the library folder in the file system. After trying to access the bitmap multiple times within the IDE and hitting the "Save as..." command multiple times and overwriting the current XFL, some bitmaps are magically partly there. Some others are not. Some of them have 0kb filesize and seem to be corrupted.

I downloded and installed Trial version of Adobe Flash CS5 but when I try to launch it, it just does not launch. I don't get any error messages or any pop up.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to download Flash CS5 through Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). I've already logged into Adobe website but my DAP keeps on asking username and password authentication for trials2.adobe.com. It does not accept my Adobe username and password. What then is the username and password for trials2.adobe.com supposed to be?
View 1 RepliesA couple of weeks ago I downloaded Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and it said I had 60 days. Now it says I have only 15 days left.
View 1 RepliesI got an error in the end of the instalattion of Flash CS5 yesterday, but it seems to work fine when I open Flash CS5. Is there some kind of "repair" I can run to be sure, or do I have to delete the whole thing and instal it again?

View 2 RepliesWe are looking to use flash to create iOS apps, so we have downloaded the latest version of flash, but when testing on the iPad we see pixalation, is there a later version of cs5.5 or an update that will fix this issue?
Or is there a setting beside the setting Resolution set to High...
I did read somewhere about AIR3 is going to better renderring for 3D, but will it be for the iPad and also what about 2D rendering, I mean it is vectors aand I thought they did not pixelate.
I was going to download the trial version of Flash Professional CS5.5 but when I got to the download page it wasn't downloading. The "Download now" button was there, but it was unclickable, when I clicked on it it didn't work, plus it was a little dimmer than I remember it was when I downloaded another trial. I'm also using the latest version of Google Chrome and I tried downloading it on IE and Firefox.So, is there any solution to this?
View 4 RepliesI've had the CS3 web premium suite since 2007, but I've always had problems with Flash, though it's never been a huge problem until now. I don't know for sure, but I suspect there might be a problem with the disk, so I'm trying to see if I can fix the problem by downloading the Flash CS3 trial and activating it with my CS3 suite key. I downloaded the trial and it installed corrected as far as I can tell, but it keeps rejecting my key, saying that it's not valid, even though the CS3 suite is already activated on my computer and, even if it wasn't recognizing that, I still have one activation left. And I did make sure I typed it in correctly.
View 2 RepliesDoes anyone know of a place to download the cs3 trial? i need that version specifically.
View 6 RepliesI cant install flash builder trial on my laptop winXP prof as I get an error message after I click on setup and about a few minutes into installing. It says to restart the PC ?
THat same trial download I used to install on my PC fine?
I have downloaded the flash cs5 and the right/bottom panels move sometimes. They move 1-2 pixels and move back again every few minutes and it is annoying. I have winXP sp3.
I could reinstall the trial but I dont know if security will prevent me doing this (only 2 days into the trial).
I want to try a trial of adobe flash but it will not let me even start downloading the software at all. It says redirect loop, i tried to dload on firefox and google chrome, internet explorer does not work on my comp. Also it told me to delete all my cookies from the list and i did but i get the same problem.

View 1 RepliesTrying to recode map program to utilise modest map rather than original hand made map routines. Finished up yesterday and had squashed bugs pretty much(annoying flicker issue but that didn't appear on another web browser I figure it's flash/browser related issue). Then I realised I need to try this in IE as well. And it doesn't work. Map loads up so modest map code is working. What is NOT working is everything else. It's supposed to track locations and draw arrows to their positions.
It doesn't go to where it's supposed to initially. No arrows are drawn. No control buttons from HTML side work. Nothing. Zip. I have suspicion it could be the ExternalInterface which works differently on firefox and IE. Could that be reason? If so how does one go detecting what browser I am using and how does one need to take that into account? Or is there something else that's different between IE and firefox I need to take into account?
IE itself only gives rather mystified error message.

Play animation and after clicking the button once it no longer works. The button takes you to the frame labeled "shake". I want it to continue to take you to "shake" each time it is pressed but its not.I've got a button inside of a movie clip - actually its inside of 2. The first MC runs through and stops on the stop(); frame and than you click the button that sends the play head to the frame labeled "shake" which plays the next MC with the same button inside of it. I have put the button's action on its own layer on the first frame. The length of that buttons timeline starting from the first action keyframe is the length of the time of the other 2 MC's.
The Code
mcButton.shakeButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick);
function onClick(event:MouseEvent):void{

It plays perfectly well in 'Publish Preview' and when you launch the HTML page offline. However it won't play online. First I published it in Flash 8, where I'd created it, uploaded the swf and the html. In Firefox it loaded a blank page which revealed on right click that there was a Flash movie there, but you couldn't see it or do anything. In IE it just stuck half way through loading. Then I resaved it in Flash CS3 and published it with AC_runactivecontent.js. Uploaded it to my site and the result was exactly the same. To check my syntax a friend uploaded it to his webspace, and put another swf on the same page using the same syntax. The new swf played, but mine didn't. The 'publish settings' for the two were the same. Again, if you look at the page offline both play. My friend made some changes to the FLA and published it successfully on his webspace. He suggested the file size may have been a problem: I had had some fairly large audio files in it and 'updated' them to smaller ones. The resulting swf was 6mb. We wondered if the old ones had been retaines somewhere, boosting the file size. The only other difference I can see between his version and mine is that there's a font I used which wasn't on his PC. His version has it as Arial (there is only one word in the whole thing). I took his version, deleted the sound files and reimported the smaller versions, which then published as a 3mb file. But now it doesn't play! Results in IE and FF exactly as above.
View 7 RepliesI've got a project that loads a couple of external flv videos. It works great locally but when I upload it to a web server I just get a blank screen.
Googling reveals two possible issues... server mime types, and flv path issues.
Everything is in the same folder so I'm doubting it's a path issue.
If it's the mime type issue, how do I go about fixing it? My host is dreamhost.
*update, I tried adding the following two lines to my .htaccess file but it didn't change anything:
AddType application/andrew-inset ez
AddType video/x-flv flv
Here is the html: [URL]
And here is the whole project in a zip if anyone has time to take a look:

I have some proLoader code that works on one FLA file and I am trying to reuse the code on another file to pull in the exact same .swf in the same location and I am getting this error.. What do you reckon is going on?

View 2 RepliesI've been developing a fairly simple presentation in CS4, AS3, OSX, which runs as a standalone projector.Everything was working for a while, but now for no apparent reason, any file I publish as a projector starts the Flash Player app, but the projector does not appear or play.Older versions that I had already published will play correctly, but if I re-publish them they do not work any more.
View 2 RepliesI've made a file in photoshop with layer. I brought it into flash. I created the movie and it plays but when I want to use the "test movie" feat. it does nothing. The graphics come up but no movement. I exported it as an .swf file but still no luck.
View 8 RepliesI created a textfield on stage, set it as dynamic, put a UIScrollBar next to it , with component inspector I set scrollTargetName to the instance name of the textfield then I wrote these actions:
var externalReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest("loremIpsum.txt");var externalLoad:URLLoader = new URLLoader();externalLoad.load(externalReq);externalLoad.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, textReady);function textReady(event:Event):void { theText.text = event.target.data;}
Ot works on pc just fine. When I upload the swf and the text file to my godaddy linux hosting account the scroller doesn't work.example on server: [URL]the text you see displayed is only about a quarter of the file, I should be able to scroll through it.
I've created a Flash file that reads from several different xml files and displays them when requested. When I run the Flash player, (by pressing Command-Space within Flash), it all works flawlessly. But when I open it within a browser, only one of the xml files loads, the other two just spin away on the preloader.I have another Flash file that is doing the same thing. A click on a scrolling new list should take you to another web page. In Flash Player it works fine, but from a Browser nothing happens
