I am currently making a banner ad. Within this there is a note about an event that happens at a certain date.Is it possible to make this note play until that date, and then stop playing while the rest goes on?
View 3 RepliesRight now my stage dimensions are 980 X 800 px. I need to cut or "crop out" the bottom portion of the footer because its height is too long. So I changed the stage dimensions to 980 X 600 px (and changed the corresponding dimensions in the embed tag in the index.html file to match). Doing this seems to cut out the bottom but at the same time adds space to the top and seems to distort the overall spacing. Is there a simple way to crop out the bottom of the stage (just like cropping out a section of a photo)?

So, as the user moves their mouse I want the timeline to change (for an image will load on each new timeline). So, it will be kind of like a flip book that is activated by the mouse moving. Hopefully that makes sense. Each scene a person will be moving (new picture in a new frame) as the mouse moves up or down.

I have created two photo slideshows to put on a site I'm working on. One is on the home page and it seems to work fine. The second is on another page. This one is not working for some reason. I published it in the same way I did the first from Flash Professional. When I post the slide show on the home page it works. When I take the slidshow from the homepage and put it on the second it does not work.

But... if you click on one of the videos below... I keep talking over the top of the new video.
Is there a way to "tell target" the one video to stop playing from the action of clicking play on the other video so I stop talking the minute any button on the page is pressed?
I am using AS3 with the FLV Playback component for all these videos.

View 5 RepliesI have a .swf that loads into a movie clip in a Flash website. The .swf has all necessary stops to play once and stop once loaded. When tested outside of the movie clip, it does what it should, but once loaded, it loops forever and the speed is faster. How do I make this stop looping? (This only happenes to .swf that were made in CS4, doesn't happen with older .swfs that were made in Macromedia)

I am working with Flash MX and have a banner which is looping 3 times and then stops on the last frame. I have that working fine, but I have added a "wipe out" at the end and need the movie to stop on frame 164 instead of the last frame now.

View 1 RepliesI'm making a "master movie" for an assignment and I'm stuck right now. What I've got is an Intro page that will serve at the Parent.swf to load 4 other child swf's upon a mouse click. The problem is I have a theater stage where I tweened an animation to make it appear the curtain on the stage is going up but once it reaches it maximum height....the tween abruptly stops. I want it to HOLD there until a user clicks a button.

As you can see, in the upper right hand corner, I have a very simple rotating flash banner that shows the local companies that keep it going. I'd like to provide an additional service for people that are interested in using them, where each sponsor gets a drop-down menu that has a map, address, directions and contact information IF the user clicks on it, and wants to see the information for that sponsor.
Now I know enough about flash on how to create the actual banner itself, but for the life of me, I simply cannot make it extend over the rest of the page. It always ends up displaying the entire .swf file, no mater whether I make half of it transparent or not.
I've tried using several banners, including the Double-Click Ad Kit and some other expample flashes, but for the life of me, and through very extensive googl searching I can't find any clear cut instructions on how to make it extend OVER the rest of the body. I've found some pages that sorta mention how to do it, but I really have had no luck in duplicating it.

However, when I create the buttons/lozenges on the stage the text seems perfectly aligned within. However, when I publish the SWF it seems to misalign. Look at the screenshot below for an example of what I mean.

My home page has a search engine and every time the search the result will display with the banner playing again. this is the same for navigating through pages. Now I want to replace the scrolling effect with a fade-in/out. I know there's a way to make a fade-in/out effect with two mc_containers. I tried that but with no result. Then I tried to make a Array where the info is pushed in.
