ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash Banner - Loop And Stop On Certain Frame

I am working with Flash MX and have a banner which is looping 3 times and then stops on the last frame. I have that working fine, but I have added a "wipe out" at the end and need the movie to stop on frame 164 instead of the last frame now.

Frame 1 has an flv that it plays once and stops, here's the actions I have on that frame:stop();stopAllSounds();What would I add to make the flv loop or replay when it finishes? (I have buttons and more flv's on other frames, so I want to have this stop on frame 1 unless someone clicks a button to go to another frame.)

i'm having trouble finding the answer to a simple (I hope) question. I made a flash banner and have successfully added an action that will loop it 3 times, stopping on the last frame. Here is the code I entered in a separate action layer:

I have been trying to find the answer to this for a while now. here is what I have tried so far.First frame is var loops = 0 then I dropped this on the frame i want it to stop on after 3 loops, but it continues to loop.if (loops == 3) {stop();}All I want it to do is loop three times and stop on say frame 119 after the 3 loops.

I'm working on a Flash CS5 file, with action script 3. I have a layer with all the audio for each frame. When I click the Next button, the audio from the last frame plays over the audio of the current frame. The only code I have in flash is:

WordPress site as an .swf with all the appropriate files loaded in the same directory. My client would like two things to occur in the animation: 1. The animation should stop after first time it runs and not play again. 2. Further, the animation should remain stopped throughout the duration of the visitors session so that when they view other pages they don't have to see the animation reloaded with each new page they visit. So far I'm unable to even get the animation to even stop on the first page load, despite having taken the following steps: 1. Created an "Actions" layer dedicated solely to actions.2. Placed the "Stop" Action Code in the last from of the aforementioned "Actions" layer. 3. I'm using Action Script 3.0 with a Flash Player 10 installed in my browser.

When I publish my movie to flash 6 using the 2 methods below the code works fine but when I publish this to flash 7 neither method stop the code from going into a loop and eating the cpu when you view the files online.

I have an interactive flash application that I'm building, but it's gotten kinda large (~200k) because of one large png file. So, I want to build a preloader for it, but I seem to have some difficulty getting it to a) stop looping back to scene 1, or b) look good if I use stop();
for some reason, the folowing scene's moving elements look crappy if I use stop(); in it's first frame in order to stop it from going back.
I don't want scene 1 to continuously reappear, but stop messes with the moving elements in scene 2.

I put too many trace() statements in, and it is taking forever. I know I can ctrl+alt+delete and stop flash CS5, but is there an easier way?

I am trying to create a movie clip that loops and on each loop it loads a random little .jpg banner from a directory. The banners are named 0.jpg, 1.jpg and so on, a script on the first frame of the loop saying

"bannernumber" is a variable from an external text file specifying how many random numbers to cycle through (how many banners), This works just fine and loads up a new banner after each loop cycle. The problem lies in trying to make each banner go to its own url, I have another external text document with variables "click0=url, click1=url etc" where I want the number in each variable to equal the randomnumber variable in flash, then use an on(release){getURL(urlvariable)} function to have it retrieve the url that is somehow in the url variable. Basically, how would I make the urlvariable be equal to the "click0" variable to get the url of the click0 variable into the getURL function? while having the number in the "click0" variable be equal to the randomnum variable?

I have to make a banner ad for my company's website that is 4 frames. It needs to play each frame about 3-4 seconds and then loop after 4th frame and continuously do so. It needs to begin this process when the web page is brought up without the user doing anything to it (so no clicking)And I have to keep it under 40k.I've found alot of tutorials for using external swf files and images but everything seems to use a button and I can't seem to get the coding down at all.

I previously posted a thread earlier today and my 'client' says that I still need to fix the banner. The premise of this banner is to act like yahoo's news banner, instead my frame with stop for 5sec and proceeds to another frame. Each banner has its own url for the user to click. My code is working correctly (with the help of Ned Murphy); however, my client wants me to have a specific frame to stop without having to proceed to the next banner. My banner will go to a specific frame for at least 10sec and then it goes to the next one (much like yahoo).

I am trying to use my buttons to single out each Animation and play each by ITSELF.

I am new to Flash and cannot get an FLA animation to stop on the last frame. I have inserted a blank keyframe with a "stop()" command, but this command stops the animation on a blank white frame (presumably the first frame of the animation).I am working with a rebuilt FLA file (i.e., decompiled SWF file) on the latest version of Flash. In addition to Actionscript, I have tried adjusting the Publish Settings (e.g., unchecking "Loop" and setting the Flash version to 7 or 8) and editing the embed parameters (as suggested in another answer on Stack), however neither of these efforts seems to make a difference.

I created on first frame menu. On second frame there is all my game. I use button to change the frames:
