Cannot Stop A Flash Animation On The Last Frame (instead Of First)?
Oct 20, 2011
I am new to Flash and cannot get an FLA animation to stop on the last frame. I have inserted a blank keyframe with a "stop()" command, but this command stops the animation on a blank white frame (presumably the first frame of the animation).I am working with a rebuilt FLA file (i.e., decompiled SWF file) on the latest version of Flash. In addition to Actionscript, I have tried adjusting the Publish Settings (e.g., unchecking "Loop" and setting the Flash version to 7 or 8) and editing the embed parameters (as suggested in another answer on Stack), however neither of these efforts seems to make a difference.
i'm very new at flash and finally ended all the work i wanted to do here. now i just need to had the actions so it will run properly. basically i just need it to stop in each frame and run the animation of the movie clip on that frame. if it's i can put the project here so you can see what and were i need to had the actions.
how can I stop my animtation at a certain frame. Is it only possible due setting up a timer, or can I also enter a code that stops at a certain frame? And when I stop the animation, will my buttons still be able to get clicked?
I have an animated movie clip (a man walking). I have created a tween with that clip, but when he stops at frame 30, I want the animated movie clip to stop, so it doesn't look like he's walking on the spot.
One of my school projects require that we make use of button in a small flash animation but the teacher has only taught us how to create buttons but not add script to them. My question is how can I make the animation stop on frame 1 as soon as it loads up and how can I add code to my play button so I can play from frame 2. Most of the code I found end up being in Actionscript 2 or something or just didn't seem to work at all.
My objective is to paste together several ( a lot, actually ) armature animations, each in a separate symbol.I have no idea how to do it, armature layers are a bit... strange. So i see only one solution: convert it to a regular layer.
I am new to ActionScript 3.0. I am trying to create a button that will jump ahead to a specific frame, let the animation run, and then stop before reaching a specific frame. I have the first part working:
I have a project which consists of 4 frames (+ one starting frame), where each frame contains a Timer class based-animation. You can visit each frame by selecting the appropriate button.
Let's say the animation in frame1 lasts for a total of 30 seconds, but I'm too impatient to watch it and decide to go frame2, which also I don't like. In the background however, the animation for frame1 is still running, for when I go to frame 2 and go back to frame1, the animation starts both from the beginning and also continues to play from where I left off.
I also get an error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Kan geen eigenschap of methode benaderen via een verwijzing naar een object dat null is. at fl.transitions::TransitionManager/saveContentAppearance() at fl.transitions::TransitionManager/set content() at fl.transitions::TransitionManager()
I have a project that involves flash animation- almost movie like. I need some advice on how to do flash animation. I think I'll create the graphics in illustrator. Basically, the storyline is this:
- guy leaves house and walks to car
-starts engine, puts on shades and speeds off
-scenes of downtown chicago (nightlife)
-view license plate
What is the best way to do this? create graphics in illustrator for frame by frame? Should I use after effects? The client doesn't have a high budget so video is out of the question.
I'm working on a Flash CS5 file, with action script 3. I have a layer with all the audio for each frame. When I click the Next button, the audio from the last frame plays over the audio of the current frame. The only code I have in flash is:
stop() btn2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK forward); function forward(event:MouseEvent) {[code].....
I've been making a Flash animation in AS3 for quite some time now and I'm just about finished, except whenever I go to test it, it will always stop at a certain point. First of all, I definitely do NOT have a stop script there. It's 27 scenes long. It will always stop roughly 11 minutes and 10 seconds in. Why does it do this?
I am working on an animated web banner. The specifications say that the animation must stop after 30 seconds but can resume on a mouse rollover. My animation is just a looping rotating circle created on the timeline. How can I get this looping animation to stop after 30 seconds? Also, is there a simple way to have the animation resume on a mouse rollover
I have created an opening animation for the webpage. It works well, a main movie loading in all the component parts, to keep the overall filesize down.Except this seems to cause me a problem: the animation sits in a normal html page, which has links to other pages. As the animation loads in, the little percentage checker ticking away in the corner, it is either impossible or at best slow whenever you click on any of the html links. It wants to keep loading the bits in rather than stop and do what the browser wants.IS there anyway of forcing the flash animation to stop loading?I notice on macromedia's site that most of there navigation is controlled by other flash movies, rather than html links, altho the html links do seem to interrupt the main animatin loading and then navigating on.
so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.
the think is; in the main timeline im on the frame 1 (animation stoped here), i want to pass to frame 2 but first i play a MC, who is an animation of a black square who covers all the movie that goes from transparent on his own frame 1 going to full opacity in frame 5 and then transparent again in frame 9. Well i want to pass from main frame 1 to frame 2 when the MC animation is exactly on his own frame 5
I have a movie clip with a stop command on frame 1 and a stop command on frame 20.I'm trying to have two separate buttons that tell the MC (onRollOver) to play forward or to play backwards.
The actionscript on button #1- PHP Code: on(rollOver){ gotoAndPlay(_currentframe +1);} The actionscript on button #2-
I have wondered if I can have an animation play on just the first Frame using ActionScript 3.0?? Can I call a certain frame inside an animated movie clip, with ActionScript3.0?
I have created a short animation in Flash CS4 which has one button with a URL link. the button shows up on frame 217, and on that frame I added the following action script:
[Code]...
however, the 'hit zone' for the button shows up from frame 1 of the animation. is there a way of getting the hit zone to start when the button shows up?
I was wondering if there is a way to have different frame rates in different parts of the same flash animation? I need some parts to be quicker and some to be slower?
I have a Flash Project that has 2 Animations in it and when I Play the movie and click the button that is specified to play the sample motion animation Both Animations Play one after another.
I am trying to use my buttons to single out each Animation and play each by ITSELF.
Can someone take a look into my file and see where I have messed up?
I've a MovieClip symbol with 5 frames (let's call it the main MovieClip), each frame holds a different MovieClip symbol and each of those symbols has a small motion in them. If let's say I move to the 3rd frame in the main MovieClip: object.gotoAndStop(3);Then symbol's small motion animation, which frame 3 holds, automatically starts as I saw. So I'm thinking here do the other frames (1, 2, 4 and 5), which are not visible on stage though, are stopped and I don't need to worry about stopping each of them myself (like attaching code to each 1st frame to call .stop()) ?Because if I would now call right away object.gotoAndStop(1); it would start that frame's animation right away.
I am facing a very peculiar problem while creating a preloader in flash. I have created a flash image gallery entirely in flash as requested. And a preloader. Now when I test my movie in local machine using simulate download feature the preloader works just fine. However when I upload it on the server the first frame of the preloader can be seen and it freezes there nothing happens though after some time the movie loads and rest of the animation then plays fine. I have checked my code it doesn't give any error on compiling. The flash SWF is being inserted in a Joomla driven website. However, that will not be a cause of problem I guess as an old preloader seems to run fine. I am using Flash CS5 Demo. I also tried saving file in CS4 and then publishing it. Still no luck.
Any way that I can adjust the frame rate of a movieclip without affecting the frame rate that I set for the rest of the document. I want to speed up the animation of this clip and it would be difficult to adjust the timeline of this clip to accomplish this.
Is there any way to click on a button (or movieclip) in Flash and somehow get the current framelabel that the instance happens to be on? my_button_instance.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickInstance, false, 0, true); private function clickInstance(e:MouseEvent):void { trace(trace-out-the-frame-label-here?); }
I'm still struggling with going from a loaded swf to the next frame in my timeline, where a new swf file will be loaded.Ths is my current code which is trying to move onto the next frame in my timeline is located at the end Frame of a 10 second animation:
I am making a frame by frame animation, where I draw a character, make a new frame and use the onion skin to slightly move my character. Is there a way to make a certain part faster than others? I made a character prepare to kick someone, but since i was doing it frame by frame it looks slow. So instead of taking out frames and making it look choppy, how do I make a certain part faster or increase its FPS? I tried making a new scene and changing its FPS, but that still changes the overall FPS.
I have an problem whereby I have created a Frame by Frame dancing human figure and now I want to move it across the screen as well as scale it using a Tween.
I have spent quite some time slightly adjusting the upper arms, forearms, hands, legs etc and creating a new keyframe for each movement. All the movements are all in one layer... ie the forearm doesn't have it's own layer etc. I am running the animation at 24fps so there is quite bit going on.
I now realise that I should have created a symbol/movie clip from the first image I created and then scaled and moved the image first before animating it's limbs but I only realized that after hours of work and I would hate to start all over again.
So basically what I have is a dancing human figure in the one spot moving it's arms and legs and I want it to move across the screen and become larger by scaling it using a Tween. I could of course re-edit each keyframe by slightly scaling and the slightly moving the figure but that will take quite some time to get right as there will be a fair bit of trial and error doing it that way.
