Professional :: Moving A Keyframe Within A Motion Tween Span?
Feb 7, 2010
I have created a motion tween to fade in a symbol on the stage. I have set a there is a diamond keyframe marker at the point where the alpha of the symbol goes to 100%. I want to be able to drag that marker to a later point on the motion tween span (not sure if I have my terminology right here) but I find that I cannot -- I have to delete the keyframe and recreate it at the point where I want it.
Is there no way to do this from the timeline? I have a layer on the timeline with a MovieClip. It's set for motion tweening. On Frame 30 it has a keyframe for all tween properties ( rotation, scale, position, etc ).I want to copy those and set them on frame 1 using the Timeline editor.
Everytime I want to insert frames or keyframes after a tween, from whereon the object should rest, it is just enlarging my tween. How can I finish the tween and go on with normal keyframes and frames?
I have motion tween of 100 frames. The motion tween path on the stage shows me Keyframes at every 5 frames i.e. it shows keyframe of 5,10,15,20 and so on till 100. No issues with that at all. But when trying to motion tween the duration to 99 frame or even lesser the entire motion tween path shows me each and every Keyframe on the stage which becomes so cumbersome to handle as then I have to manage all the keyframes on the stage. Whereas, when it is 100(just a frame more) it starts showing a different display. How can I have to same display if I were to reduce the motion tween to 99 or less, in that instance it is much easier to ease the frames in my animation. Is there any setting which controls this? I am using Flash Professional CS5.0
I feel like this should be pretty straightforward, but I can't figure out a way to easily move a single keyframe within a motion tween to adjust timing. I can't even figure out how to delete a single keyframe, for that matter. Everything I try ends up deleting all the keyframes within the tween or the entire tween.
I'm sure this is a ridiculously simple question, but it's one that's giving me a ton of trouble. I just switched to CS4 and cannot seem to figure out how to insert more time between motion tween keyframes. Basically, i have a motion tween that starts on frame 30 and has a property keyframe at 35 and 40. I want to move the keyframe to 36 and keep the other at 40. It seems so simple and used to be. I used to just be able to select the keyframe and drag it to the position I want.
I understand that motion tween is a new form of tween in CS 4 however I am unable to move a keyframe within the time line? am I missing something? I would hope I could select the keyframe (diamond shape) and move it around the timeline but apprently Im missing something.. I am not able to do a cut and copy either... is this normal behavior?
How do you create a motion tween when I insert keyframe in frame 28 then I click on the object and create motion tween but when i click in 60 to insert keyframe I get opition of position, scale, skew, rotate ect. I just want to insert keyframe. What am I doing wrong?
I have one layer with two tween spans, and would like to have a different symbol for each span. However, I cannot seem to do this without adding a keyframe in between the spans: if I have just the two tween spans, and replace the symbol in one, the symbol in the other span is also changed. What am I doing wrong here? (Using CS4)
I used the liquid Flash layout file from this site , but i got one problem.I placed the script in a layer called actionscript and on frame 1, under it there is a other layer called background. I placed in just a square with a gradient color and made it a movieclip. I also placed this on frame 1. Everything is working perfect from this point but when i want to place a keyframe on frame 10 in the background layer and make a motion tween so that the background fades in from 0 opacity to 100, it doesn't work.
I'm just learning the software and haven't been able to figure this out. I'm trying to create an historic timeline for our company and am using 20 jpg images, which I placed on separate layers and then converted each jpg to a symbol and motion tweened to go across the screen. The problem is that there is a gap between the frames when they play as a movie and I don't know how to get rid of that so that they flow continuously across the screen from left to right seamlessly.
If I perform a motion tween along a curved path, Flash CS4 does not allow to change the curves to "corner point" or "linear" in the motion editor. URL...
I have a horizontal motion tween that is juddering as it moves across the page - it's text and very noticeable although I can't seem to find a resolution to make it move smoothly...
There is a movie clip "card" created dynamically through the code. I have a class, and I instanced it and add it to the stage. I need to move the movie clip on the button click, so I created a motion tween and export it to the code. Then I wrote a function and asign it to the button through the event listener. But the movie clip doesn't move. The event fires, but nothing happens.
Code examples: 1. Instance of a movie clip var card:MovieClip = new Panic(); card.x=456.20; card.y=77.30; card.width=285; card.height=355; card.n = "IME"; [Code] .....
When I try to insert a keyframe in Motion Editor, Flash CS5 crashes.I tried to use two computers running the same Mac OS X 10.5.8 with the same specs and only one of the machines crashes.
I have two files one is called tween_start.fla and the other is called tween_end.fla I am trying to create a motion tween where the animation begins at tween_start.fla and ends at tween_end.fla Each file consists of 7 shapes (it's a tangram if you're curious). At frame 10 of the tween_start.fla timeline I right-click on each layer and do Insert Blank Keyframe. Then I go to tween_end.fla click on a shape and do Modify>Convert to Symbol. Then I go back to the timeline for tween_start.fla, right-click on frame 10 and do Paste Frames or Insert Keyframe. If I do Paste Frames with all of the symbols I've created in tween_end.fla then the shapes end up stacked on top of each other. If I do Insert Keyframe it doesn't insert the symbol I've just created, instead it just keeps the same shapes that were at the first frame of tweet_start.fla. So how do I insert the symbols from tween_end.fla into the tenth frame of tweet_start.fla and then execute a motion tween between the frames?
I will have three seperate pages for the motion tween, mask effect and shape tween... would you make the seperately, in a different scene, as a symbol or on the same scene with the website.
I am facing a problem in one of my animation with flash CS4 - I have nested a Shape Tween in a Motion tween to get more control over the easers and effects, unfortunately I am not able to view on the timeline of my Motion Tween the action of the Shape tween nested inside.
It only show the first shape of the Shape Tween during the entire Motion Tween and that is really a problem for me because I need to see the final frame result of that Shape tween to be able to position it in a precise way on my scene according to other instances.
I'm making a "master movie" for an assignment and I'm stuck right now. What I've got is an Intro page that will serve at the Parent.swf to load 4 other child swf's upon a mouse click. The problem is I have a theater stage where I tweened an animation to make it appear the curtain on the stage is going up but once it reaches it maximum height....the tween abruptly stops. I want it to HOLD there until a user clicks a button.
How would I make this happen? Here is the page in question: [URL]...
I have a MovieClip, named "thing", that's in one position and in another position on the next frame. I added an eventlistener to "thing" to advance frames. Very simple, everything works fine.I then add "thing.alpha = 0.5" in the button's event listener. Now when I publish the file, thing fades but doesn't move.
p.s. For reference, here's the entirety of my AS3 on the first frame:
after I create a motion tween, why is it that I don't always see the path of that tween? It seems that I've got to shuffle stuff around a bit before I actually see the colored path. Is there some trick to this?
I am trying to move the instance in a particular path, but by the time I finish defining the entire path, the first few points all go astray. I then completed only 5 change points, but by then the 2nd, 3rd and 4th point were all astray, as in, not in the position I had originally defined them.
I am very frustrated with this as I have been working on this file for ages now, and nothing of this sort happened before. I have redone the tween atleast five times but it still acts weird by the time i move ahead a few frames.
I created a motion tween. I stried to put an action script, stop();, at the end of the tween but it says "Current selection cannot have actions applied to it.". How do I stop the tween then?
I am new to flash and working on creating a simple animation. I have the objects ready, but problem is I can't seem to get motion tween working. Following this, I tried a very basic motion tween just increasing the size of text from one frame to another and can't get even this to work. I followed the basic steps, converted the text objects to symbol etcetera. What is seen is for frames 1-9 there is no change and in frame 10 there is sudden change in size. I also notice that there is no 'arrow' observed in the tween as shown in a sample tutorial.
I'm finding it useful to add labels to my timeline so I can easily see where animations start and stop for different symbols. However, I can not seem to label sections that are motion tweened. The entire motion tween section is selected when I just click on any section of it. Even if I use CTRL + click to select a single frame, there is no option for "label" in the properties window like there are for other frames. It shows the motion tween options. So is there a simple way to label a motion tween?
I have an object with 500 Frames. I gave it a Motion Tween. Now I want to cut it down to 100 frames, without changing the Tween duration. Usually you can insert a blank keyframe, or remove the last 400 frames on that layer. But since it's a Motion Tween you cannot?
WTH is going on with Flash's timeline editor, this is ridiculously unintuitive.
I'm trying to create a Motion Tween where at a certain point the initial image it's replaced by another one.I've tryied to do "Swap Symbol" but the symbol changes in all the tween.
