Professional :: Possible To Run SWF Files Without Flash Player Using PHP
Aug 1, 2011
How can we run our flash files in client machine if they have no flash player. We should not give any link to install flash player. Should run automatically while opening our website..
I'm new to Flash and have the following problem: I've picked up a Flash project tat has an embedded .mov that I need to edit. I then need to save an .swf of my Flash project. I've edited to file in Premiere, but I can't import the new .mov file to Flash, only .flv. Saving as an .flv isn't a problem, but even when I import the .flv I still can't save to .swf because I get the following error:
WARNING: This movie uses features that are not supported in the Flash 6 player Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:VP6 Codec requires Flash Player 8 or higher
I need to export my .swf with the embedded video file for Flash Player 6 (client agency requirement). How do I solve this?
My loader component works when I publish to Flash Player 7 but not when I publish to Flash Player 8, why? The publish setting are for ActionScript 2.0 on both.
I installed Flash CS4 Professional trial version for school use. It wouldn't install successfully. I deleted the font files the troubleshooting guide said to, tried again, but gave up. (I'm afraid to run regedit and mess up everything else I have loaded.) (I previously had the Fireworks CS4 trial version loaded, then uninstalled it.) My problem is this- I have it running, but it saves files and then they can't be opened, even if I use the save function often- it's worse when I create the file, test the movie and then save.If I try to open it again, it says "cannot open file." Once it opened a copy I had saved, and it appeared blank, even though it was 544 kb file size. I only need it for a few more days, one more assignment and I'm afraid my previous files are corrupt. I have Windows Vista Home Edition.
I am constructing a Flash animation and I was hoping to build it by scenes. These scenes would be individual SWF movies that I could import into my final Flash file in consequential order and when finished I would have a completed Flash Movie. There would be no interaction beyond Play/and replay. Where can I get information on how to construct this and is this a recomended way to do it?
I have a flash player which play mp3 files from xml. at now mp3 files are downloadable with software like internet download manager. if i move mp3 files to out of www and change xml location attribute to '../mp3filename.mp3' player can not play mp3. my question are
1) flash file can access files out of root folder
2) what is best way to protect files from download?
in older versions of flash player if I opened a swf file in a web page locally it would bring up a security settings box where I could allow files to play locally - but this doesn't seem to happen in flash player 11 - how do I enable my swfs to play locally?
I've recently encountered a problem whilst coding when trying to upload local files to flash. With Flash Player 10 you can use the following code to load local files into flash.
[code]...
This is not available in Flash Player 9 which is causing me issues as I only have a copy of CS3. All I need to do is retrieve a local jpg from the users computer and temporarily display it in my flash application. So to clarify, uploading to the server isn't required unless this is the only way to do this with Flash Player 9?

I am using a embeddable Flash based MP3 player (The standalone Version of Wordpress Audio Player, to be exact) to play audio on the web page of a client. Given the nature of Flash based players - AFAIK they all use Flash's audio/video decoding libraries - the exact player product might not matter, though. She complains that some specific audio files sometimes tend to play slowly, as if on a tape deck that doesn't run at full speed. Her machine is a 5 year old Sony Vaio with a 1.5 GhZ Pentium M Processor.
So it's not top of the line anymore but it should not have trouble decoding anything, let alone a MP3 audio stream. I can't verify the problem because we can't set up an audio connection (slow Internet on a remote island), nor can I reproduce it on my 3.3 GhZ dual-code Workstation, but this is a person whose error reports have seldom turned out unfounded in the past, so I tend to take them seriously. I see differences between the encodings of the MP3 files (see below). Any pointers towards which setting(s) to change?
This is what Winamp tells me about a file that is sometimes slow: MPEG-1 Layer 3 128 Kbit, approx. 966 frames 48000Hz Stereo CRC: Yes, Copyright: No
This is what Winamp tells me about a file that is never slow: Encoder delay: 576, Zero Padding: 1584 MPEG-1 Layer 3 151 Kbit (VBR), 12405 Frames 44100Hz Joint Stereo CRC: No, Copyright: No
Alright so I'm making a website for my friends band, and they want to have a music player to play their MP3's. One of the things I'm concerned about though, is the security of the MP3 files. Their albums are on iTunes to buy, so I'm looking for what the best option to have the MP3s be played but not be able to be downloaded and saved. The best thing I can think of is embedding the MP3's inside a Flash music player, but that would be more work than it's worth it seems.
I have a banner ad which contains an flv player. Due to size restrictions for banners at the site, I've found a player which I think will do the trick (chrometaphore). However, the site in question does not allow anything more than the actual swf for the ad, so I cannot include the com folder for the player and need to include all AS3 code in the swf file. I'm not a scripting genius, and wonder what it would take to include all the classes in the AS3 file contained in the swf. Is it possible? Does anyone know where I can find a VERY lightweight player whose entire code is contained in the fla?
[edit]: It just occurred to me that if the flv is on a remote server, could the com folder and files also be remote? Currently, the path for the com files looks like this:
Read about saving files directly from flash player 10 recently. If I can pull this off then it will be a life saver with a project I am working on. I read a tutorial on [URL] But i am not able to understand fully what's going on there. For my project I allow users to drag and drop object around the stage and save the the whole thing as an image once they are done.
I'm looking for a Flash video player that is able to stream m4v files on all browsers. Example file: [URL]
Unfortunately, I can't convert the format since it originates from 3rd party servers. I can't rely on HTML5 video since not all browsers support this format and the encoding it contains.
I've already tried several players such as JW Player, Kaltura, Video JS, Projekktor, and more. Testing them with Firefox and IE, some of them couldn't play the m4v file at all, while others downloaded the entire file before starting to play it.
I would like to update the swf player that I specify into FDT and what Flash IDE uses to play files, namely from Flash 10 to Flash 11 for Stage3d preview. How does one do this?
I have a flash file located on a web server. When it's loaded, I want it to access the user's PC and display some data (such as file directories, files, etc)I know there are security rules about what a flash player can access, but so far all I can seem to find are rules regarding local flash players accessing the internet, but not much on the other way around, or how do go about doing that.
I'm trying to load a local file using FileReference load(). It will load small files just fine, but when I try to load a file of around 4-80 megabytes the flash player will crash. I read the load method officially supports up to 100 megabytes.
Here is the exact class I'm using to test: ActionScript Code: import flash.events.Event; import flash.events.IOErrorEvent; import flash.events.ProgressEvent; import flash.net.FileReference; import flash.net.FileFilter [Code] .....
i am new with adobe flash and i have made 2 swf files that need to link to one main one, i am not sure what the actions should say. so far my programming for my main swf where i want all the other swfs to open from are:
var movieLoader:Loader = new Loader();function addMovie(event:Event):void {var movieRequest:URLRequest=new URLRequest ("slideshow.swf");//define a loader to load a movie to the stage//Set the loaders load property to the the var movieRequestmovieLoader.load(movieRequest);//add the image to the stageaddChild(movieLoader);//set its x and y positionsmovieLoader.x=0;movieLoader.y=0;}PictureSlideshow.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,addMovie); function activateButtons() { removeChild(movieLoader); }
I'm new at this. Bought a flash template website. I have made text changes in the psd files that came with it. How do I link them back to Flash?? Plus, I need to add a psd file of a logo also. Many thanks, I am trying to learn this.
This has been going on for quite sometime and I've just neverfound any solution. On sites with Flash it asks me to download theplayer. I have the player already, but I download it anyway. Thebox on the Flash site shows that yes, I do have Flash installednow. Then I go back to the site that uses Flash and I'm back to thestart - download Flash Player.I can't understand why if it's on my computer, why the sitekeeps asking me to download it again, yet it shows I do have it onmy computer.I started to use Macromedia Flash 8 Training from the Source,James English, and needed to play Flash in one of the tutorials. Itsent me to the download site. I downloaded, shows the Flashmovement in the sample box that if you have Flash you will see itin the box. I go back to the Flash site and once again - wants meto download Flash. So it's just a continuous circle with no end.
how we can update the Flash IDE player, or the player used when testing a movie (sometimes called the Test Movie player)? In the case of CS3, when you download the latest sets of players and replace the "Players" folder, you'll still test the movie in version 9,0,115,0 As you might know, this player version has a bug: When loading an AS2 movie that has a MovieClipLoader into an AS3 movie, the AS2 movie's eventListeners for the MovieClipLoader fail.
