URL...How can the pixelation in the video on this page be stopped? I'm assuming that this is a resizing issue. But if you are creating pristine video and it gets pixelated like this, what's the point?
View 7 RepliesI have a higher resolution .flv file and I'm trying to replace an older version within my Flash file. However once replace (by use of the "swap video" feature when right clicking video), it blows the video up way bigger. When trying to scale down the video, it become fuzzy/pixelated upon output to .swf. Any proper way to resize this higher-res video without loosing picture quality?

View 5 RepliesI have this site I'm doing in Flash with an embedded video.The site has background music that is loading automatically, but when the embedded movie loads, the volume on that is mixed in witht he sites music.If you mute the sites background music, it mutes the video sound as well. Make sense?How can I seperate them out or make the sites background music not load on that particular page.

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to resize a full flash site. I'm using if statements to do this. Is there a better way? I want the resize to hold the proportions. Additionally, my if-statement method is too cumbersome. It doesn't always keep the content in the center (doesn't resize to the content to be in the center).
Scenario: The base is a black background that resizes according to the window size. The main image stays in the middle of the page.

View 1 RepliesI can't seem to resize video right. I have tried using flashes own "video import" and of course setting up a standard video class instance, through AS... only to find my options of resizing it are funny. It seems like it goes off to the right rather than fill my screen up fully.

A client of mine has had 2 sites (both Flash sites) attacked over the last 12 months, so he's been asking: should he go for a static HTML site or stick with a Flash site? Is there ways to make a Flash site more secure?

But then, I want to resize it to be 300px wide. I've tried updating the attributes with jQuery but that didn't work.
My company sent me a video that they wanted us to post on the intranet. It's a simple powerpoint video with a narrator talking about some policy and benefit changes, etc.
I tried the exporting the video in both 720(width) and 1280 format, and found that when shown in fullscreen mode, the 1280 format was much easier to read than the 720, however, we didn't want to show it on the intranet page at full 1280 by default. So I modified the html and javascript that plays the movie so that it would show in 720 width on the page. The problem with resizing the 1280 video into a 720 space is that the video player bar (where the play, stop, volume controls are) becomes extremely small when I do this. Of course, this is because Flash generated the player with a toolbar optimized for 1280, so it's getting scaled down when I pack it into a smaller playing area.
Is there an solution to this that I haven't thought of? How can I generate this movie to get the better full screen appearance of the 1280 video, but also still show the video in a smaller 720 area when the user is not in full screen mode?
I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should.But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore?It does show this error:

I have been using Flash with actionscript 2.0 and I barely understand that...(actionscript 2.0). Now I am building a site in 2.0, and I need to add a video to the home page.The only way I have found is in actionscript 3.0.I made a separate swv file for the video as per the instructions I found online.It works but my site will not open it, ...probably because the site is in 2.0.My question is this: a:is there code to play the hd video in my 2.0 site? or b: do I need to redesign the entire site in 3.0?

EXAMPLE:
My document size of my animation is 520px width by 680px height... when i resize this as an embedded swf in an html page (through source coding) to 382px width by 400px height.. the animation does not flow properly and there are occasional jerks... its not fluid.
Is there an easy way to do this in flash after its been created? Or am i going to have to start from scratch with the proper document size?

View 6 RepliesSo I am relatively new to Flash and After Affects but I managed to make a nice video with Adobe After Effects that my friend wanted to put on his site. After I was done rendering it I used Adobe Media Encoder to make the .avi file into a .f4v file for flash. After opening that flash file with Flash i exported it out into a .swf file. When I opened the .swf it played perfectly, just the way it should. I edited my index.html with Dreamweaver and the coding and everything seemed fine. After previewing the index.html with my browser and Dreamweaver's Live View I was quite satisfied with my results. When I uploaded the files onto my site the flash did not play. It plays locally on my PC but not on the site. I later asked a few more experienced buddies what was wrong and they confirmed that they weren't able to play the file locally nor from the site. At first I thought I may have mixed up the links but they were fine. Here is the code I used for my index.html page.

How do I embed a Vimeo video in a Flash AS2 site?
View 1 RepliesLooking for a component which can be embedded inside my site (PHP, ASP.NET...whatever) and give a support for video chat. I'm not a flex developer and would like to use a component. There are some/many video chats available, like flashcoms, red5chat...but all of those are heavy(monolit) components.
What I would like to have on my site is just a small video showing output from my camera (me) and another video showing the other party...but those videos should be split, not in the same flash component, but separate (two different EMBED tags on my page).
Are there any components available to do that (of course with support from appropriate media server)? Are there any good guides on how to develop such a component?

My problem is that the client I am making a homepage for wants the site to be done in Flash, but also wants to have the ability to make changes to the website on his own. Creating the website in Flash is not the problem rather what other program or method can I use, which is easy enough for someone who is not knowledgable in Flash or any other web design program, so that this client can make random changes to the menus and photos on this website?

My goal- when I publish it and view it in the browser, when I resize the browser window I DO NOT WANT the website to scale up/down accordingly.At the moment my flash website is scaling according to the resizing of the browser window which is causing awful aliasing to my logo (jagged edges).The logo is 250 x 50 and I don't want the logo to change size while resizing the browser window. And at the moment the logo is growing or shrinking when changing the browser window.

I have recently created my own flash site and have added videos on it through creating my buttons. The videos are working fine, however when I click to another page the video is still playing. I'm really pulling my hair out over how to get the video to stop every time I naviagte around my site.
View 2 RepliesI am using a flash website template (basically stripped of 95% of the code they provided, and just using their graphics) from [URL] I needed to add streaming video, and I elected to use PHP streaming found on www.flashcomguru.com; as modified by lance of courierwebcasts [URL].
The problem I have is that when I use the scrubber.swf to play a video, updating variables and addresses as appropriate, it works fine. However when I take it and recreate every element of the player in a movie on the timeline of my template site, everything but the time counter works fine. It plays fine, it scrubs fine, etc.; it just always displays 00:00/00:00. I am guessing it has to do with variable definition or somethingbut it is beyond me... any help?
