I made my movie of size 1400 x 400, butI'd like to make it of size 700x200 without losing much quality. Also I want to be ableto use it in a power point presentation, to whatformat can I convert it to add it to the presentation
ive made a flash banner 1000x500 with lots of objects tweening etc etc photos fading in and out,and ive being told to resize the banner size to 800x300but im having trouble when i do that,is there a way to get the everything that ive done into the 800x300 with out having to move all my objects around again and resizing each pic individualy,or do i have to start it from scratch again??
I have been importing illustrator .ai artwork into my project, and along the way, something wierd has happened with resizing stuff. If I am putting font iside a movieclip that is being used for a button, I can put the same size font into two different moviclips and they are different sizes. I somehow zero them out so they are 100% at the size I want or do I have to resize in another porgram and then reimport into Flash?Am I missing a magic button here?
I got a flash movie mostly composed of bitmaps and not a lot of tweening animations or actionscript. I initially made it quite large but now my customer decided he wants it smaller. This'd prolly be a piece of cake if it was made of vector shapes, but since it isn't, I need to resize the source images as well (no point in wasting bandwidth or introducing resampling artifacts with big images). Most my movieclips don't have a consistent registration point so I'm afraid they'll move around if I just resized the images and updated them from the library.
So I'm just wondering if there's a smart way of doing this or should I just start everything from scratch?
Is there anyway of resizing a swf after its been created in flash?
EXAMPLE:
My document size of my animation is 520px width by 680px height... when i resize this as an embedded swf in an html page (through source coding) to 382px width by 400px height.. the animation does not flow properly and there are occasional jerks... its not fluid.
Is there an easy way to do this in flash after its been created? Or am i going to have to start from scratch with the proper document size?
I was wondering if anyone knew how to scale pictures when doing a website in FLASH. I am creating a flash based website for a friend. I have done all the links and it works greatThe only thing is that the images increase as the web browser is maximised.I would like it to decrease as the web browser is decreased, but to increase to a certain size 900 x 651, and stay that size no matter how big the browser is increased by.
Ive got a bg image in my flash movie and I want it to resize it 100% to the window when the movie resizes in the browser, but i dont want anything else in the movie changing in size, just the bg..
Because i design on a new mac book pro, my resolutions is very high and the flash movie fits perfect in my screen, just the way i want it to sit in every computer.
But on a computer with a lower resolution, i now that that my web site would be much larger and not fit right.
So how can i make it so the movie adjusts to different resolutions and sits just perfect?
I want to make the stage and contents to resize in ratio to the window size, Like the file I have provided, When you make the window bigger or smaller the contents change with it. How did they do that? [URL]
I am trying to create a flash website, my document size is 1024 X 766 pixels. My goal- when I publish it and view it in the browser, when I resize the browser window I DO NOT WANT the website to scale up/down accordingly. At the moment my flash website is scaling according to the resizing of the browser window which is causing awful aliasing to my logo (jagged edges). The logo is 250 x 50 and I don't want the logo to change size while resizing the browser window. And at the moment the logo is growing or shrinking when changing the browser window.
I have a higher resolution .flv file and I'm trying to replace an older version within my Flash file. However once replace (by use of the "swap video" feature when right clicking video), it blows the video up way bigger. When trying to scale down the video, it become fuzzy/pixelated upon output to .swf. Any proper way to resize this higher-res video without loosing picture quality?
URL...How can the pixelation in the video on this page be stopped? I'm assuming that this is a resizing issue. But if you are creating pristine video and it gets pixelated like this, what's the point?
I have and SWF file I created from a PDF through Print2Flash. I am trying to bring it into another SWF file which is my navigation shell.
I am trying a simple test to load it and it work fine all the way up to when its time to resize. This is AS3 and this is the code I am working on:
[Code]...
This seems to work as long as I dont try to resize the container. repositioning the containg alone the X and Y works....but when I add the resize of the container to 800 x 800, I get nocompiler errors but the SWF doesnt seem to load either. Can someone let me know why this would be the case? I have found other threads concerning this but still the SWF I am bringing in just will not show when I add the width and height resize.
I have a client who has a Flash project that was used for a cd rom. The flas are 1000 x 1043. I need to know the best way to be able to save the entire presentation for the web. I already tried re saving the flas publishing in percentage that doesn't work. If I make the actual stage smaller the mc's and all dimensions would have to be made smaller manually am I correct.
I am running into an issue using the free version of PageFlip I'm trying to resize the flash file, but when I do, the mouse rollover in the corners appears on the opposite corner of the current page. I was able to get everything to work OK at one size, but after I resized the stage and all the other elements the problem showed up. I have examples posted at the links below. The first the page is sized to 600 pixels (which worked); the second is sized to 720 pixels (with problems).[URL]..
I am having a slight issue, i have created a flash file 800 x 600,But i need to split it into half... i already have animations on both halfs which overflow to the off screen,Is there a way of cutting the content in half via width (400x600)? (im uploading the content into a system which requires it in 2 halfs and also if i have any content off screen is messes up...)
I've run across multiple sites that have the cool effect of resizing themselves to accomodate pictures, or content or whatever and i think it looks very smooth and clean. An example of what im talking about can be found at link me to a tutorial or tell me a little more about how this is acheived?
i am trying to use the Tween class to change the size of movie clip to certain height.the code works for me but when resizing the parent, it effects the child.i tried the height and scaleY property for the thum, but does not work.
I am trying to make a brain anatomy game in flash CS3 and I am having some difficulty getting the buttons to respect certain proportions. Allow me to elaborate.
[URL]
And then I bring it into photoshop and make a different layer for each different structure (in the screenshot I only did it for one structure but you get the point)
[URL]
Now what I would like to do is import my .psd file into flash and make every layer a different button. But I don't know of a way to view layers of a .psd file in flash. But here's the bigger problem. As you can see, it makes the "clickable" area for the button a rectangle shape.
[URL]
Whereas I would like for it to be the shape of the specific structure. If the clickable area is a rectangle then there is an overlap onto other structures which is not at all ideal. Especially when I get into smaller structures. What I want is for the button to be exactly like the layer in photoshop.
I have created a series of classic tweens in one layer starting on frame 30 through frame 60. How can I shrink just those frames and scale the tweens with them so they are proportionate to what I had originally, without moving those frames over before frame 30? So I want them to still start on frame 30 but I want to end at 47 now instead with the tweens still there and proportionate distances that I had originally set up?
I'm using the following code to resize user input text when it gets too long for the textfield. The resizing seems to work fine but when it resizes it it becomes left aligned and is outside the textfield. I only see the end of the text. It's as though it's centering to the cursor instead of the text. If I use the arrow keys to back up the text it snaps into the center of the textfield like it should have been from the start.[code]
I have all my content inside a movieclip called 'allmenu' but im only resizing it to fit the stage with a timer hehe , is there any way it could be resized before you see it on the stage, because right now you get this glitchy resizing moment on every page.
I've looked in many places and still haven't found a solution to my problem... how his content stays positioned even after you resize your browser window?
I have a request to bulid the Flash website looking somewhat similar to LabelloI need a fullscreen flash that position elements dinamically, based on the stage dimensions. I found this tutorial on Kirupa:I need to do the same, but in AS 2.0, since it is the requirement. Is there any tutorial or finished script for this or I just need to write the code from scratch, as I'm not so good in AS3?
i'm trying to make a slide show under the image is a grey bar that has to resize to every new image width.i found this kind of effect on this very nice site of a german photographer [URL]i would like to implement this into my design.i tried to make it by making some changes to a script i found a kirupa, but ... i don't get the right result.
I am not simply trying to contain things and have the container resize without the contents resizing. I would just use a simple MovieClip for that.. My main focus is on the use of BitmapFill. I'm trying to make a repeating background image for a container; thus far I'm able to draw my BitmapFill sprite to the size I want. (Which is the stage's height) but when the stage is resized, I want to re-size my container but have my containers BitmapFill crop or add more as the window is resized bigger or smaller. Allow me to illustrate what I mean:
I've got a simple rectangle sprite that fills with a bitmap from the library and a simple resize handler function that detects when the window has been resized.what I would like to do is have my rectangle resize to the height of the stage.stageHeight maintaining its bitmap fill, but not resizing the bitmap fill or any children within the sprite.
From what I've read, this is a little tricky because the sprite resizes in relation to what it contains.. or.. something like that.. I really don't know any more.. I saw one example where a person extended the sprite class but I don't know why or how..
in my library there is an image called 'pattern' and my code looks like this:
I'm loading a few pngs/jpgs externally so they can be swapped out occasionally, and the issue I'm running into is when they are shrunk they become fairly choppy. Is there a way to have flash re-render them, or do something to smooth the resizing as opposed to going in and resizing every file manually myself?
As the title says, how do you animate the resizing and moving of graphic symbols without making the other objects go invisible? I'm using Flash CS4. Here are the bizarre, unexplainable problems I've had before. First of all, here's my basic scene. It's 6 rectangles and 8 half-circles. [URL]. First thing I tried doing was applying a Classic Tween (since Motion Tween did nothing and Shape Tween was disabled). However, what that did was turn every object in the entire work space into one giant object for no reason at all, which certainly isn't what I wanted. [URL]. What I realized is that in order to avoid having all of the objects merged into one, I had to create a brand new file first. [URL].
Next, I added in a blank keyframe and a Classic Tween while the workspace is still empty. [URL]. Then finally copy/paste the objects into the first frame from the first file: [URL]. Now I paste those shapes again into the target frame and resize one of the diagonal shapes: [URL]. Then I moved that rectangle to a new position: [URL]. However, when I preview the animation, only the animating object shows up... everything else is invisible. [URL]. Also, if I try moving a different object, the rectangle will start spinning for no reason. [URL]. How can I animate this object without making everything else go invisible and keep the object from spinning out of control?
If I put any text letter of any size at the top of the stage, lets say for example a "T" of 10 pts. Then move the timeline to frame 50 and insert a keyframe and then move that "T" down to the bottom of the stage and resize it to say 50 pts. (I want the effect of the letter growing as it moves down the stage). If I then isert a Motion Tween and scrub it the letter just stays at 10 pt until the keyframe at 50is hit and then it resizes to 50. Not the effect I am looking for.But if I use the classic tween then it does do what I want which is gradually grow from 10 pts to 50 pts by the bottom of the stage.
