Professional :: Security Warning Running SWF File On A Computer / When Accessing Internet

I want to distribute an SWF file to be run on computers, not the internet.However, I want to be able to access the internet through a link controlled by a button.This used to work, now I get a security warning telling me I need to change the settings on my computer.For obvious reasons I don't want to make every person who runs the swf file to have to do that!Under Windows I can create an EXE file that does not create the security warning, but on the Mac that won't help.

Ever since I installed Flash CS4 on my computer, it runs fine for a while before becoming really slow to respond and a pain to use, so I have gone back to using Flash 8 which runs fine. Is this a problem with my computer or the program?

I have bought a chat package, and over 9 months i am running into the problem hat it is gooing slow with more users online. So i decided to install the "flash debug player 10" and check what exacly is happening. Within 2 minutes the flashlog.txt (error log of debug player) was 195KB I will now paste the error messages that are dumped into flashlog.txt tha occur the most and i think it seems as if the error message comes from a loop, because there are so many of these warnings:

i'm trying to integrate with a plain http service which has both http/https flavors available for consumption. sadly they never thought of a flash client consuming these services and it will take another 6 months to roll a crossdomain xml policy file on their service (there security team has to approve the process, pm team has to include it in their roadmap and blah blah). i've already implemented the flash client which works fine from a flash ide security sandbox. is it possible to get around this crossdomain policy requirement.
my flash file will always be hosted as [URL] and i will be communicating with [URL]. i'm saying [URL] because they do some loadbalancing at the backend and allocate random servers on connection (which is fine from their server side design perspective). I tried putting following two lines in the constructor of my movie clip, but couldn't pass through the security sandbox error:

am modifiying some flash banners with a simple link(fp 8, actionscript 2.0). Why do i get this flashplayer security warning when i click it?The original sample banners i'm working from don't have this. How can I prevent this from popping up, without going into adobe's settings?

My program requires multiple random recursions, and I have to manually let the script continue past a warning that keeps popping up:

I'm looking into ways to squeeze performance out of a flash installation.The installation has a huge stage size, 2800px x 2100px, is on a high spec machine, but I'm experiencing low frame rates.I'm wondering what the optimal set up is for a machine running this? Would flash prefer it if the system was set to optimise for background processes etc?

Whenever I use the navigateToURL function from a standalone swf (not opened from Flash) it comes up saying: "Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation" blah blah blah
I understand the reasoning behind this restriction, but I've seen embedded .swf's on web pages that take you to external web pages when clicked (maybe it's because they're embedded.. Hmm..).Even though it tells me how to allow this, by changing security options on my computer, it still doesn't work even after the changes and a system restart. So I wish to know how to bypass this stupid restriction?

I am working on this cd-rom and have just reached testing stage for part 1 (of 5). There are lots of interactive activities, video and animations. For the activities, I dont know if I am just too tired but there seems to be items which are visible on my .swf on my computer that sometimes are visible and sometimes are not visible on the cd-rom, also in testing yesterday there sere some activities that seemed to not be working correctly (Althought they perform fine on the desktop version, on a reset of the cd-rom they then seemed to work. Is there anything that I need to take into account for the code being read off a CD to make it more bullet proof? I am stressing out a bit at the Unknown factor- I cannot continue to produce this resource if I cannot guarantee how it will perform in real life?

i have password protected SWF files. Afters entering right password is stored into readers computer SO with UID identifier. I need restrict numbers of computers, where can be used one ID (as to reader can't give his ID to unauthorized readers. This method is ok by the time, when authorized reader give his SO to the unauthorized.Existing some method, how i can find how much computers have stored SO with the same UID? Or how i can block using SO on unauthorized computer?

Is there any way to disable a computer's screensaver when a flash program is running?
It's for a program that I run locally (converted .swf to .exe).
The program is also used on other computers so changing stuff in the registry or something like that isn't really what I'm looking for.
I tryed changing mouseX but it's read-only..

I created a 5 second animation ion Adobe After Effects CS5 - exported to a swf file which is 50mb.I have this inserted on a dreamvweaver cs5 html page. Running locally it is fine, but slow over the internet.Should a 5 sec swf file be this big? - Anything i can do to speed this up on a webpage? - I have asked this on dreamwaever also, as I am using Dreamveaver CS5.

Is there anyway to check if the user has internet while they are using my app. I tried this, it works great if testing the movie from flash, however, It does not work when running the swf file independently. I read that using Flash Builder 4.5.1 you can create one application and run it on a mobile device, in Internet browser and in Desktop AIR. However, I created a mobile application and the only option to run it is 'Run as mobile application'. Is it really possible to run the same Flex application in browser and on mobile?

We are using flex for same. (Although I know flex is meant for web application and air application is best suited for desktop clients, but due to some build issues we can't go for air applications). Now according to our use case we required to read file from local file system which is not allowed in flex application due to sandbox policy. To override it we had planned to use it in local mode (i.e. running from local file system instead of deploying in web container). So after running application in local mode it bypasses sandbox policy and allows to read local file. Eventually we requires remote services call (either using web services or blaze ds) also in our application. To avoid sandbox restriction for network access in local mode we are planning to explicitly grant network access permission to our flex application.

Is it possible for someone to basically trigger one of my php documents that inserts variables to the Database through an swf ran outside my server? I know for example flash has a security feature built in to prevent flash from loading xml files from server to server. If anyone knows more about flash security issues and tips let me know

I'm an application developer, and my standard usage of Flash is as follows: I'm creating an executable application, which contains a ShockwaveFlash object instance, which in turn is displaying a Flash Movie Clip - also created by myself. The executable application and the contained Flash clip are communicating via the ActionScript ExternalInterface (using XML strings) and the FSCommand.
I'd like to be able to debug the ActionScript code of the Flash file while I'm running/debugging my executable application. For that, I need to be able to start a remote debugging session from the Flash object running inside my executable. Problem is, I did not find any way of doing this.
When I publish the Flash SWF file with "permit debugging" checked, I'm able to start a remote debugging session when I'm displaying the file in a player or a browser (the "debugging" option is shown at the right-click menu of the Flash object), but I'm not able to do the same with the object inside my executable (the "debugging" option doesn't exist on the menu).
Environment Details: The executable application is using the ShockwaveFlash COM file to create the ShockwaveFlash object. The executable application is created using VB.NET, Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5. The Flash SWF file is created using Adobe Flash Professional CS4. I'm developing under Windows XP (SP3).

so i was trying to lop an Internet radio player, that will connect to different shoutcast servers, and play the radio, of course in development time everything was ok, now the time came for publishing just to be surprised with this messageof course i know what to do, but the end user will most likely won't know, and also i think this is a set back for developing such stuff, i also once tried to develop a twitter widget same thing happened when trying to communicate with twitter output, to work around that i could load the xml file from twitter into a local file using php, but i see a lot of flash files that uses flickr, twitter, and other sites, so how do these widgets work without triggering the security message,

I am very new to flex, i have created a simple login page in flex and created a webproject in Eclipse having a jsp page. i have put that jsp page in tomcat webapps. Now when i run an application of login from FlashBuilder it runs fine as i have given the ip e.g [url]... and passing it as a url in HttpService and it worked fine. but when i put my login.swf file in webapps same in that folder where that jsp resides and un e.g [url]... it displays the page but when i click on the login button it gives me with this error "Security error accessing url"

When I run an exe projector that I exported from flash cs5.5, and on few of my client's computers it running very slow in full screen.When I running an swf file (not exe projector), also in full screen, it running well!I checked my clients computer hardware, and it match the system requirements of flash player.

Would it be a machine / browser specific problem? As a sanity check the above code works with the same .swf file in chrome, ie, firefox and safari.I have read about the crossdomain.xml and don't think that is the issue as YouTube have that defined.Finally, all users (intranet app) are using IE and the same version of flash.I have been pulling my hair out the past 2 days and asking the question over and over again "Why is it only happening for some users and not for other users?"
