Mar 21, 2011Has there been an update this weekend thats broke masking I have tried to gradient mask an object both by using a vector mask and a png mask. NONE OF THEM WORK! Last week it woeked - and nooene else here at my job can get it to work either.Gradient masks are just shows by a square. No way of of getting smooth edges (gradients on a masked object anymore).

Apr 19, 2011I'm having trouble with the Flash CS5 Bone Tool, Everytime I create 2 sets of objects whether its legs or arms, when I duplicate them. break them apart and make a second set of arms and legs, the two characters I assign them to, swap around when I saved them. So one has arms instead of legs and legs instead of arms, but the other character is completely unaffected. I move the bones within the symbols and they return to normal but then it affects the other character and vice versa.

Jun 27, 2011I recently installed the CS5 Master Collection on my MacPro for work. I need to use Flash CS5 in order to work on some projects in the office, however I'm encountering several issues that make it near impossible for me to use the software. First of all, when I start the program and select "New..." and select any type of new file, I'm greeted by nearly every button being greyed out, to where I cannot select them. I've found out that I can make these buttons usable by changing my workspace in Flash.
The issue that's causing me trouble is that whenever I select any sort of "Drawing" tool, Flash CS5 crashes immediately. Whenever I click on the line, pen, circle, rectangle, pencil, or brush tools, CS5 freezes briefly (about 2-3 seconds) and then immediately closes. I can still use tools such as the Pan tool, zoom, text, and selection tool. Also, whenever I select the Spray Can tool, I get the following error:
Unable to load the script. The file <filepath>/ProScripts/sprayBrush.jsx does not exist.
I have already tried updating my system, updating every Adobe product on this machine, reinstalling, and even using a seperate installation CD, but everything thus far has yielded the same results.
Info on my system:
MacPro running OS X V. 10.6
2 x 2.26 GHx quad-core proocessors
12 GB DDR3

Jan 24, 2010This is a very very basic question.I am able to colour and otherwise manipulate elementary vector objects, such as rectangles. Yes, I know how to use the colour panel and the fil land ink pot tool. However, sometimes I can colour a vector shape drawn with the pen tool and sometimes I cannot. It seems completely random.In detail: select keyframe on an empty layer.I make a triangle with the pen tool, and a small circle shows completion. I get a triangle.This is coloured not for the stroke but for the layer. It seems to exist in two densities - a layer coloured line for drawing, a thicker, same-coloured one after selection.However, neither the ink bottle nor the fill tool do anything. I can set the colour in advance, or after the event, through the colour panel or otherwise, nothing. A gradient fill does not even show the guide lines for the fill tool.

It doesn't erase anything, but I can't change it to another tool.I uninstalled Flash, preferences and all, and re-installed it, but the problem persists. Interesting is, my customized workspace is still there, even though I had all preferences and anything else that has the name "Flash" deleted.At the same time the computer opens both CD trays when booting up. Never did that before. So I re-installed the OS, but that didn't help either.

Jan 24, 2011I have an issue with my Cintiq not drawing smoothly in Flash. I need to sketch incredibly fast and loose. Flash used to work just fine but now it suddenly began drawing really crummy. I posted some examples of flash as well as Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, and ToonBoom Animate Pro which is another vector graphics tool. I thought the vector graphics may be the issue but that app seems to handle the drawing excellently (now if only it did the other things Flash can do). Here's some examples of how they're looking. It may be hard to tell in these already loose sketches but the performance drop is really a big difference in responsiveness between Flash vs the other apps here:[code]Does anyone know why my cintiq is causing flash to draw so poorly?
